I sent an email to the company but the only response I have received so far is an email asking for a review of their service when they haven’t even responded to my email! To say I am disgusted is an massive understatement. If you’re thinking of the ‘free’ trial, forget it! It seems I made a very costly mistake 😡 ### 2/5 — Tried to charge even though I’d cancelled after three days. *2026-06-03, version 1.156.2* I decided to try the Hava app because it advertised a free trial period with the option to cancel and pay nothing if it wasn’t suitable. While the app made a lot of promises, I found that it didn’t really meet my needs, so I cancelled after three days. The cancellation was confirmed and acknowledged through my Apple subscriptions. However, despite this, the company still attempted to charge me for a full year’s subscription at the end of the trial period, which was both unexpected and disappointing ### 1/5 — No Apple Health integration! *2026-06-03, version 1.155.1* It’s 2026, how can a health or fat loss app not have Apple health integration? This essentially makes it useless. Such a baseline feature to have. ### 4/5 — Great app but needs some tweaking *2026-05-30, version 1.155.1* I have had the app for a few days now and I have previously used BitePal for ai meal tracking etc . I think this is a really intelligent app, but it needs some modification ie, when the scan gets information incorrect (perhaps it identifies something as beef instead of fish) you need to have an option on the iOS app where you can modify what it sees and also be able to change the nutritional information including calories fats carbs and protein when it gets it wrong . Also be able to easily modify the quality by choice of grams or cup measurement when I haven’t eaten a full serve of a scanned barcode or meal picture . I am finding the ai assistant often gives me instructions that are just plain incorrect on how to make these modifications. So buyer beware Update: seems two accounts were made and only one was cancelled within the free trial period. The company returned the funds promptly. ### 1/5 — SCAM *2026-05-24, version 1.148.0* I signed up for a free trial and immediately attempted to cancel it. It has not been possible. Not from the app, not from the App Store. Not even after I’ve emailed directly to the developer. I have been charged a full year subscription fee and I’m still unable to stop the direct debit. I will be reporting this to my bank of course ### 1/5 — Rip off *2026-05-18, version 1.148.0* They say they offer a week free trial before debiting your card and can be cancelled any time but I have been unable to cancel as it doesn’t appear in my subscription list. Wrote to their support but still no answer ### 1/5 — Too many bugs, too expensive *2026-05-14, version 1.144.0* Some items inputed using the bar code scanner were consistently read wrong. I asked AI how to change amounts to cups, tablespoons etc, and it said to click the pencil icon which does not exist in the area AI said it would be. In another AI chat, it asked if I wanted to know the scores of some foods. I typed yes and AI stopped working. Using the photo feature doesnt always identify the meal correctly. Since I cant change serving sizes to cups, tablespoons, etc., I now have to weigh my food. There isnt an area to enter a recipe so it becomes even more cumbersome since the photo feature is unreliable. This app is far too expensive to have to do all that. ### 1/5 — Beware *2026-05-09, version 1.144.0* I feel scammed! Within a span of 24 hours I subscribed and cancelled my subscription and Hava still charged my credit card a full year membership. ### 1/5 — It’s contradictory and frustrating *2026-05-07, version 1.144.0* I had canceled before the 7 day trial was up because it is designed for does that eat processed foods and it penalizes home cooking. I still was charged the $39, and I don’t find it useful at all. ### 4/5 — Improve searching for favorites *2026-05-05, version 1.144.0* To get 5 stars from me, you’ll need to add the ability to search just the foods and meals that I have set to favorites. Also, the general search results should always put the favorites that meet the search criteria at the top. Otherwise, it’s a great app that has helped me reach my goal weight and lower my A1C, which is no longer in the pre-diabetes range!! ### 2/5 — Unable to get a refund *2026-05-02, version 1.144.0* This looked like a great app. As a long time user of MFP I was hopeful it would be accurate and support MFP for when a picture was the best I could do to log. I signed up for the free trial version. Or so I thought. Unfortunately it didn’t meet my expectations or maybe I just wasn’t willing to take the time to double log and edit after a picture was taken. In any case, and much to my surprise, I discovered that I had actually paid for a full year!! I was not in a trial period as I thought. (7days) I wrote Hava multiple emails asking for a refund. All I got back was encouragement to use the app. I don’t want to use it. I want a refund. I don’t expect you, the developer, to help but you should know that this happened. Very Shady business. A customer who is disappointed in a product should be refunded $ if respectfully requested. The mistake may have been mine for sure but to not be taken care of was inexcusable. Their promotional videos claim a "no questions asked" full refund if you don't like the product, but it is a total lie. I canceled my trial on June 14th—before it was set to expire—but they charged my card $99 a full day early anyway. When I reached out to support with screenshot evidence of my timely cancellation, their rep (Piotr) completely refused to acknowledge the proof and just passed the buck to Apple. Their system clearly doesn't account for different time zones, and to make matters worse, they give you absolutely zero notification or warning that your trial is about to end and convert to a massive annual fee. As for the app itself, I am completely unsatisfied. The way they calculate their "satiety coefficients" is totally counter-intuitive and confusing. It is not something me personally would be able to—or want to—get used to. Hava will not honor their refund guarantee, and canceling without getting charged is seemingly impossible due to their predatory billing timing. Be warned ### 1/5 — Mediocre app, great marketing, deceptive terms *2026-06-13, version 1.156.4* I was curious about this app because it promised to provide insight into food in a way that my regular macro tracking apps do not. I signed up for the free trial and was notified in that process that I would receive an email prior to the trial ending and giving me the option to opt out. I tried the app and found that the information I was looking for was not easily obtained from the app and therefore I chose to end my free trial. However, I never got the promised. Email notifying me of the end of my trial, and there was no easy or obvious way to end that trial. So a day before the trial’s end I sent an email to support asking them for guidance on how to end it so I would not be Charged. I never received a response to that email. Next thing I know I was charged $99 for the year. I wrote to support and this time they responded in a timely manner, but informed me that I had no option for a refund. It’s an attractive app and moderately useful, but I rated it on one star because I find their support and terms to be unclear at best and disappointingly deceptive. ### 1/5 — User *2026-06-09, version 1.156.4* Terrible app and costs are 99.00 plus tax.
