### 2/5 — Lack of UI designer

*2023-02-16, version 1.84.0*

Previous version was far from perfect but at least the modes were easy to set. They lack a UI designer apparently, as modes have been hidden one step further and there is a huge blank space with no use. Put the modes there perhaps, so it can be easier to set?

### 1/5 — New User

*2022-02-26, version 1.16.3*

I’ve tried creating an account as a new user, put in my email address and tried many combinations of new passwords and keep getting Invalid Password. How can that be the case ? Grrrrrr ..... and obviously I’ve tried putting in my email address as an existing user and clicking on forgot password just in case it has somehow registered me but of course get the message not registered. How frustrating. I’ve now paid extra for a device that’s has App/WIFI capability and can’t use it. How annoying and please sort it out

### 1/5 — Scheduling Function Not Working

*2021-12-23, version 1.16.3*

The scheduling function works intermittently, which completely defeats the object of having the smart heaters. Means you have to manually put them on

### 1/5 — Broken again

*2021-12-02, version 1.16.3*

Scheduling function broken again. Changes temp on app screen, doesn’t actually change radiator temp. Have to manually change temp to force change, defeats object of schedule function.
Clearly no testing of these releases, and zero dev follow up on reviews. Sad to say you're better off avoiding this brand.

### 1/5 — Update app

*2021-09-17, version 1.16.3*

Update app so it works, I have tried on a number of occasions to set up but with no luck it is totally useless and so is the radiator.

### 1/5 — Cant even setup and account.

*2021-03-16, version 1.12.6*

Overall, I’m pretty tired of having to hand over personal information for the sake of a smart devices app, but needs must if I want to take advantage of the extra controls a smart device offers.

But despite 5 attempts to setup an account with multiple different emails I have yet to receive the account validation email, which is required to allow me to then log in and actually use the smart features. Nothing smart about that is there.

I could have saved money and hassle going with normal non-smart thermostatic radiators as the extra expense for smart ones seems to have been a waste.

### 1/5 — Can’t believe you just made the app even worse.

*2021-02-15, version 1.12.6*

It’s hard to believe this it’s even possible, but you did it. I’m getting a blank page when I leave the app running in the background for a while. Also, just make a native iOS app already. It’s 2021, stop using WKWebViews to build your entire app. Or even worse, UIWebViews.

### 1/5 — App barely works

*2020-06-29, version 1.7.6*

App often doesn’t work or load. Login issues are common and then the user interface is shocking when you do log in.

### 2/5 — Jospikes

*2020-01-20, version 1.5.13*

It’s clunky, difficult to use and drops out a lot. A pain.

### 1/5 — Very clunky

*2020-01-12, version 1.5.12*

Not user friendly, overly complicated, help button does nothing at all.. took a lot of google and youtube to get the best help.. personally they should fire the developer and start again.. honest opinion...

### 1/5 — Really annoying

*2020-01-10, version 1.5.12*

We have had these radiators with this app for a while n I constantly have to check it or change the temp and now with the new update it’s won’t even log me in properly and I can’t change the temp at all!! Not good when I have a young baby in the house!! Not happy!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2025-03-09, version 1.402.0*

Goes wrong a lot. Sticks. Also if you forget password when you get a password reset it resets password without giving you the new password or allowing you to receive a password. a load of rubbish. Avoid . Big regret

### 1/5 — Can’t login to the app

*2024-11-10, version 1.402.0*

This app is okay at best when it works but now all of a sudden I’ve been logged out of the app and can’t get back into it. I put my username and password in and click login and they just disappear. Very frustrating.

### 1/5 — Impossible to validate

*2024-07-05, version 1.311.0*

This app does not send a validation email when you try to create the account. It is therefore impossible to use. Needs to get this basic issue fixed.

### 1/5 — Most complicated app ever

*2023-12-31, version 1.306.0*

I don’t understand why it has to be so complicated we have Hive in the rest of the house and only have Haverland in our conservatory, we are looking to change to something else even if we have to pay to do it.

### 1/5 — Awful App

*2023-04-23, version 1.91.0*

I’ve had my heaters 6 years now, 6 years of having to use this awful app, if you manage to see these reviews prior to buying the heaters, do yourself and favour and buy elsewhere. The time lags between tapping/instruction is very frustrating, never bothered trying to hook up to Alexa as I think it would finish me off.

### 1/5 — Update failure

*2023-03-18, version 1.91.0*

The latest 2023 update is a massive backwards step. Functionality is less, modes have gone from easy access front screen and often the app ‘locks up’ and appears to do nothing. I can have the heaters set in auto mode yet the screen tells me they are pumping out heat at 20c when they are supposedly in the ‘off’ cycle.
Annoyingly the app also now seems to often log me out, meaning I have to go searching for the password as it won’t let me choose my own password or allow the password manager on my iPhone to save it.
This should be so much better, maybe if the developer actually tried using it first it would improve, or otherwise I think my grandchildren could do a better job. Sort it out!

### 1/5 — Love my heaters - new app is useless

*2023-03-11, version 1.91.0*

Why on earth have you decided to hide the modes from the main heater screen? You have all that real estate on the iPhone screen, but you have decided to “update” the app and make it unusable. Put the modes back where they obviously should be. It is ridiculous that this ever got passed for release. And the set point temperatures no longer reflect what I have programmed. Basically an app that achieves nothing and destroys something that worked. It is a MASSIVE backwards step. I now have at least twice as many clicks to achieve a simple change of mode. Useless update. Give me the old app anytime.

You cannot even see what mode you are in when you access the individual heater screen!!! What is the point of this?

### 1/5 — Terrible update. Terrible UI

*2023-03-03, version 1.85.1*

This app has never been great but it’s just been made significantly worse. Why would you hide the modes behind another layer of menus?
In The short term you’d be better off reverting to the previous design.
In the long term you’d benefit from hiring a competent UX designer

### 1/5 — Horrendous update

*2023-02-14, version 1.84.0*

App worked ok until the recent update. Now the different modes don’t do what they are meant to do and the temperatures are not what they should be.
The layout change for the modes is also not as user friendly.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work since update to 1.84

*2023-02-13, version 1.84.0*

Control is out of control. Even when set to a temperature of 17, the radiator heats past 17 to 20. When set to frost protect mode, it continues to heat as well. This has been happening since the update to version 1.84 of the Haverland app. Before that it worked fine.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2022-02-03, version 1.16.3*

So pleased with how simple and quick this app was to connect up two Haverland electric smart radiators in my loft. I didn’t want gas radiators as I only pre heat the space when I need to be in there. Fab that I can completely operate them from anywhere and just how simple the app is. Very user friendly and can certainly recommend. Wish I’d had this in my holiday let for total control.

### 5/5 — Great Product supported by a Great App

*2020-01-09, version 1.3.5*

Having purchased 8 Haverland Smartwave Electric Radiators I was able to programme the WiFi connection of each rad to app without any fuss. The app is well laid out, simple to use with complete control over each radiator with easy to plan schedule, temperature pitch and even with geo fencing so that your heating auto switches on or off as you enter ir exit a pre determined radius of your home. Total control from your phone!

### 4/5 — Solid app - one improvement would make it better

*2023-11-01, version 1.91.0*

I bought my first Haverland radiator some time (5 years?) ago. Can’t fault them and really pleased with the wifi control system. Rock solid, never goes down, genuinely set up an leave. Punches it’s way through my thick walls. App makes it easy to add new radiators.

The app is 100% dependable and is easy to use. In places it is not entirely intuitive - but that is a minor gripe.

The one irritation for me is that the mandatory difference between comfort and eco temperatures is too large. At 4 deg C , I either have the temperature lower than I want at eco, or higher than I want at comfort. Don’t know if this is down to the the app or the heater - but either way, it would be a tiny software change to fix.

### 4/5 — Buena app pero con fallas

*2019-12-11*

### 3/5 — Suggested new features

*2023-12-03, version 1.135.0*

This app does the job and is reliable, but there are some features which would be so helpful. Like having the option of 30min increments instead of 1 hour, as if I get up at 7.15 the heating either has to be on from 6am and it costs me more than needed, or 7am and it’s not warm enough.

Also the option of a 1 hour boost. So my heating is due to come on at 5pm, but if I’m in early I’ll manually put it on, but I then have to remember to go back in and switch back over to auto. As this isn’t something I do very often I sometimes forget and again that’s extra heating costs.

Being able to adjust remotely and set different schedules is great, but these two additions would make it so much more user friendly and energy efficient.

### 3/5 — Could be better

*2020-02-16, version 1.7.2*

Hardware is good, app could do with some work. This could be the answer to my needs if the functionality was improved. Easy to set up and does the job. But

Help function doesn’t actually help.

Don’t know what the home/away function does.

Schedule is only as a set 1 week which for a holiday home is useless.

Should be able to change settings on all radiators at the same time but only certain functions are available for this. I.E. on off and
Comfort temperature. I’d like to be able to change from presence to manual etc without having to go in to each radiator.

I like it but it could be much better.

### 3/5 — Needs work

*2018-09-12, version 1.2.1*

Some of the functionality of the old app has been lost:
Unable to set all radiators in the house to the same programme appear to need to be programmed separately
Unable to get a radiator out of the lock screen mode
Otherwise the other changes are good and if it all worked or was easy to operate then I would have given 5 stars

### 2/5 — Instructions

*2024-05-18, version 1.311.0*

The app appears ok although the instructions on connecting the Wi7 radiator are nothing short of abysmal.
Update: loses connection frequently even though only 4 metres from radiator then have to go through whole rigmarole of trying to reconnect with instructions that don’t relate to my radiator. Smart box waste of money!

### 2/5 — Key feature causing crashes

*2023-12-07, version 1.135.0*

Enabling geolocation now causes this app to crash. This is a key feature as it enables a reduction in energy usage while away from the house, so not having it makes the app somewhat redundant.

### 2/5 — Disappointing update

*2023-02-19, version 1.84.0*

Echoing some of the other reviews here, the previous version of the app was at least functional. The latest update is riddled with bugs with poor functionality with useful features like ‘Modes’ now hidden. Have any users actually been consulted when designing this update? These heat systems are not cheap, the quality of the app should match the quality of the technology. The only useful thing is to be able to control the heating remotely but even then, the temperature settings are fairly random.
