## What is Hazard Notifier?

Hazard Notifier is a unique, highly customizable application, specifically developed to deliver information concerning potentially unsafe events in a simple yet straightforward way. With push notifications and distinctive sounds, Hazard Notifier sends the information you want to know directly to your phone, clearly and informatively. All you have to do is open the application and you can immediately watch and track developing hazards on a map in relation to your location. With weather radar and hazard icons, you will be able to see exactly what is going on and where.

When using the application, you are completely free to adjust the range of the area in which you wish to receive notifications, as well as choose what kind of hazards you would like to be notified of. In addition, Hazard Notifier’s exclusive reporting service allows users to report events that have just begun to occur around them, which can help notify others about possibly unsafe events before they have even been formally declared. Hazard Notifier also provides reporting statistics to users such as Users in Reporting Range, Reporting Level, and World Wide Reporting Rank. This application is not just limited to reporting weather. Hazard Notifier reports events involving:

• Tornadoes
• Severe Thunderstorms
• High Winds
• Hail
• Lightning
• Flooding
• Heavy Rain
• Snow
• Freezing Rain
• Ice
• Dense Fog
• Dust Storms
• Fire
• Hurricanes
• Tropical Storms
• Earthquakes
• Tsunamis
• Volcanoes
• Debris Flow

With Hazard Notifier, you will not have to spend as much time sifting through slews of disorganized information on the latest environmental events from news programs and web pages. Hazard Notifier will clearly display events in relation to where you are. If you find yourself wishing to stay informed of turbulent conditions, yet are unable to actively access the latest weather or news reports, Hazard Notifier will send you push notifications of potentially unsafe events in your area.

### 5/5 — Handy application

*2019-02-14*

Very handy little application! Great to check on weather that’s going on around me before I take a day trip. Also awesome for knowing what the weather will be when I emerge from studying in a windowless room. Great to have on my phone just for the rain notification alone (especially when you’re as out of tune with what’s going on outside as I am).

### 5/5 — Solid app

*2018-07-31*

Does the job well, easy to use - 5 stars

### 1/5 — An Odd App

*2018-06-08*

The app’s description sounds very useful. However upon using it during some stormy weather, that changes. Sure, the map shows little icons. Very generic. For example, raindrop icons are seen. Click any of them and they all say the same thing. “Heavy Rain. Potentially damaging high water”. None are customized. The persons reporting do not include that verbiage. Rather it is the generic descriptor given by the app. Isn’t it possible to have heavy rain WITHOUT potentially damaging high water? Usually potentially damaging high water indicates a situation more extreme than some heavy squalls moving through. Looking at the map, every icon says the same exact thing. With a time included. Yet nothing is customized for the individual event.

Then there is the list of reports that is even more strange. A bunch of listings showing reports of rain, wind, hail events, etc. WHERE?! Well, you would think the map with the icons would reference the items on the list and vice versa. Nope. You merely have a list of events that happened. Somewhere.

I suppose if all you care about is a weather radar with vague report icons, then this will do that - sort of. Otherwise an interesting idea that got slapped together into an app before it was fully completed and useful.

### 1/5 — Silver

*2016-08-09*

This is the best but when they are near by I don't get alerts on my unlock part I only got one alert I would like to see more alerts

### 3/5 — It's alright

*2015-07-20*

Really like it.. but.. why would I need a Astroid notifier ??.. lol.. remove that and I'll give it 5 stars..

### 5/5 — Where have you been all my life

*2015-05-26*

I hate tornados and this guy is incredible at providing me a heads up on when they are in the area. It's also good for other weather hazards. I like how I can set the alert radius so that don't get bothered for things that are far away. I can also choose to only get alerts for some type of weather and not others.

### 3/5 — Hazard notifier

*2014-08-21*

Has potential, but can't give feedback directly, haven't received any alerts, needs adjustment
Various alert tones. World default should open US area and Home should be narrow.

### 5/5 — This little gem does it all

*2014-06-17*

This is a very versatile little app! It WILL put a grin on your chin!!! 10 stars!!!
