## What is hDrop App?

hDrop is the first wearable sweat sensor designed to extract data from your sweat during exercise.
Independently validated research shows that hDrop is the world’s most accurate wearable sweat sensor, helping athletes understand how much fluid and sodium they lose while training.

Whether you are preparing for a marathon, triathlon, cycling event, or intense training session, hydration strategy matters. Generic hydration advice does not account for the fact that every athlete sweats differently. hDrop helps you personalize your hydration based on real physiological data.

Measure What You Lose in Sweat

hDrop continuously monitors your sweat during exercise and provides insights that help you understand your body's hydration demands.

Track key metrics including:

• Sweat Loss – Estimate how much fluid you lose during training
• Sweat Sodium Loss – Understand electrolyte loss to guide sodium intake
• Sweat Rate Trends – Learn how your hydration needs change with intensity and environment

Build Your Personal Hydration Strategy

Use your sweat data to create a hydration plan tailored to your physiology.

With the hDrop app you can:

• Analyze sweat loss across workouts
• Understand sodium losses during exercise
• Compare sessions in different weather conditions
• Improve hydration planning for races and long training sessions

Designed for Endurance Athletes

hDrop is built for athletes who depend on hydration precision:

• Triathlon
• Marathon and running
• Cycling
• Trail and ultra endurance sports
• Heat training and high-intensity workouts

Scientifically Validated Technology

hDrop technology has been independently validated by university research, demonstrating high accuracy in estimating sweat loss and sodium loss during exercise. The system was developed with a focus on translating laboratory sweat testing into a wearable field solution for athletes.

### 2/5 — Lousy UX

*2026-08-21*

One would think that an app in 2026 would be better than those from 10 years ago. Intrusive onboarding experience. Doesn't natively work with Apple-generated passwords and with unnecessary irritating rules. Doesn't obey iOS text rules. Updates the device at exactly the wrong moment. Poor results delivery. You guys can do better... hard to believe the device is worth much considering the lack of care in the app.

### 1/5 — Great data, poor execution

*2026-08-13*

The device and app really has potential. The data it provides is very accurate and useful. The shortfall is after an activity, getting the data to upload from the device to the app. It typically takes 3 or more tries and almost never loads the first time. Hold on to your money until they get the bugs worked out.

### 2/5 — Great info…when it works

*2026-05-27*

I’ve used the HDrop for the past three weeks. The information and guidance it provides has made a difference in how I feel during and after my training sessions (trail running, cycling, and strength training). What I find frustrating is that for me, the device/data fails in its upload about 20% of the time. This happens when I’ve attempted to upload via WiFi or cellular . Before I hit the end activity I always confirm I have an internet access. Nevertheless, I get the “Activity upload failed” with the option to try again.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback, and we are glad to hear that hDrop has been helping with your training.

We also appreciate you highlighting the upload issue. Our team has deployed a fix for this, so the “Activity upload failed” issue should now be resolved. Please make sure you are using the latest version of the app, and let us know if you experience any further upload problems.

Thank you again for your support and for helping us improve hDrop.

### 1/5 — I need this to track my hydration and salt loss but it doesn’t work.

*2026-04-25*

You’ll pay a lot of money for something you can’t use. That’s because the app is buggy and rarely works properly. I have a 40 mile bike ride today and I needed this device to ensure I’m hydrated but more importantly, to know how much salt to replace after my ride, and I lose more salt than most people. But I’ve tried to open the app several times and it does not work. I’ve even tried removing it and reinstalling it and it still doesn’t work. I am going to get my money back hopefully if not, I’ll go to consumer affairs and the BBB!

**Developer response:** Hi,

We’re really sorry to hear this, especially before a long ride when you were relying on the device for hydration and sodium guidance. That is not the experience we want you to have.

Please contact us at info@hdroptech.com and we’ll help troubleshoot the app issue right away. If we can’t get it working properly for you, we’ll also help with the next steps.

In the meantime, please make sure you have the latest version of the hDrop app installed, since recent updates include important stability and connectivity improvements.

Thanks for flagging this. We’ll be happy to help.

### 5/5 — Fantastic information!

*2025-01-07*

I use this while I’m cycling and it has made a huge difference in how I hydrate on and off the bike.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy

*2024-09-23*

Don’t buy the device till they make a working app. The device was great for most of the summer but since the last update it is a never ending loop of the Apple making me do the setup again. I can only get past it about 1 out of every 10 tries. I messaged the team behind the device and have gotten no response.

### 5/5 — Love my hdrop

*2024-08-31*

This product was a game changer for me - I had no idea I required 4x the electrolytes I was taking. Makes a huge difference in my long runs. I won’t leave home on any runs without it now.

### 1/5 — Nice idea poor execution

*2024-08-01*

hDrop has advertised Garmin support for years but they have NEVER got this to work. Without Garmin support the app and device are basically useless.

**Developer response:** Hi,

Thanks for sharing this feedback. Garmin support is available, and we have setup videos and instructions here:

hdroptech.com/how-to-garmin

Please make sure your hDrop app and Garmin data field are both updated to the latest versions, then follow the steps in the guide. If you still have trouble getting it connected, contact us at info@hdroptech.com and we’ll be happy to help troubleshoot it.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t work with Internet connection

*2024-07-20*

The app simply won’t let you start an activity if there’s no Internet connection. This means I can’t use it for probably half my activities since many times I’ll be riding trails where there’s no service at the trailhead. The app is good otherwise, but if I can’t use it it’s useless, so low rating until they can fix that. I see no reason it should require a network connection. If there is something, inform the user that so it can be accounted for, but the actual sensor/device shouldn’t need it.

### 4/5 — Need Apple Watch App

*2024-06-17*

I really like the device itself, but hate that I have to bring my phone with me on runs for real-time monitoring. An Apple Watch App would be appreciated for this purpose.
