## What is Head Shadow?

WHAT IS THE HEAD SHADOW APP?
Head Shadow is an iPhone hearing aid app for people with single-sided deafness or mild hearing loss in both ears. When you play the app, the iPhone or AirPods microphone captures the nearby sounds. Then, the app’s audio equalizer amplifies the sounds and plays on wired headphones or AirPods.

THE APP, WITH AIRPODS, FOR SINGLE-SIDED DEAFNESS
Activate the left or right microphone on AirPods when playing the Head Shadow app to aid in single-sided deafness. Place the AirPod with the active microphone in your deaf ear and the other AirPod in your hearing ear. Play the app to capture sounds on the side of your deaf ear, amplify and cross to the AirPod in your hearing ear.

THE APP, WITH ANY HEADPHONES, FOR MILD HEARING LOSS
If you have mild hearing loss in both ears, play the Head Shadow app with any headphones you currently own. Just connect your headphones to your iPhone and play. The app then captures sounds near the bottom iPhone microphone, amplifies them, and plays them on your headphones.

THE APP’S UNIQUE AUDIO AMPLIFIER
We have developed a unique 10-band audio equalizer with Reverb options to amplify sounds captured by connected microphones. The Head Shadow app’s equalizer sliders can fine-tune the amplification of all ten frequencies of standard audiograms obtained from a hearing test. On the App’s Reverb screen, you can select various spaces for reverberations of the microphone sounds.

THE APP WITH A FREE TRIAL, NO ADS, AND NO SUBSCRIPTIONS
The Head Shadow app is priced at a one-time purchase payment of $5 and has no ads and no subscriptions. You can try all features of the app for free, with no obligation to purchase for 30 days. The app works on iPhone 5 original of 2012, and all the later iPhones. It also works on iPads.

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2025-12-19*

I was struggling to hear customers, my wife, any body who was on my deaf side. Once you get the settings adjusted, all I can say is wow. I feel like I can actually follow conversations and interact in situations where before I just kept quiet because I couldn’t hear what was actually happening.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2024-12-10, version 1.21*

The app is super helpful and easy to use making using it an overall very great experience!

### 5/5 — User-Friendly Hearing Aid Solution

*2024-12-02*

I've used the Head Shadow, and it’s been such a helpful tool. It’s super easy to set up, and the user-friendly design makes it simple to adjust. The sound is clear and natural, It works great with my AirPods. definitely worth trying if you need a extra hearing support.

**Developer response:** Well put. Thanks for your positive review.

### 2/5 — Sort of?

*2023-02-14*

It kinda works, but the echo of your voice is quite distracting. Plus, I purchased it, and after several months of the app being rather dormant on the phone it seemed to have forgotten this and now I’d have to purchase it again to tinker with it.
While it states it works with an audiogram, there’s nowhere in the software to add yours. It means well, I’m sure.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review.

You don’t need to purchase the app again. Simply go to the App’s Settings, and touch the “Restore Purchase” option. Then touch “Try or buy” and notice that you have already purchased the app. If you have changed you iPhone after you purchased the app, you might have to use App Store to check your Purchased and download the App again.

Adding audiogram is done on your iPhone. If you touch the “Head Shadow FAQ” option in App’s Settings, you will find much help, including “How to add your audiogram to your iPhone”.

Your comments about voice echo is correct. We’re trying to fix this. Please email support@swiftricity.com for more details.

### 4/5 — Question

*2022-10-07*

I would like to know if the app is still getting updated and getting better. I did not see the option to disable and enable the microphone of the mobile. How can i do that? I have the airpods and i would like to use for example only the microphone of the airpods.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your support.

Yes we’re active and work on new improvements of the Head Shadow App.

In order to disable iPhone microphone, first connect a Bluetooth headset to your iPhone. Then turn on the Bluetooth microphone switch in the Head Shadow App Settings.

Play the app and the Bluetooth microphone is now active.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2021-04-07, version 1.10*

It’s an amazing app
