## What is HealMate?

HealMate is a recovery app that helps athletes effectively and efficiently log, track, and communicate sports injuries, recovery progress, and medical records all in one place. It promotes injury reflection and allows for smooth injury sharing between family members, friends, teammates, coaches, and healthcare professionals. This way, everyone is kept up to date on your injury situation, therefore supporting faster and more informed recovery.

### 1.1 — 2026-01-30

HealMate 1.1 has been released! We consider this to be the true first version of the app. From in-app messaging and new tabs to a myriad of bug fixes, the app proudly stands as a fully functional tool to aid injured athletes in recovery and connection.

Patch Notes:
1) New In-App Messaging - Users can now communicate with contacts through HealMate 
2) Profile Tab - Users are now able to view their own name and profile through the Profile Tab
3) Settings Tab & Home Page Rework - The "Sign Out" and "Delete Account" buttons have been moved to the new Settings Tab, and the Home Dashboard has been populated with "See Your Injuries", "Share Your Progress", and "View and Connect" buttons that direct the user towards integral tabs of the app.

Bug Fixes:
1) There was an inability to add Injury Update Log descriptions due to complications with the IOS keyboard. That issue has now been fixed, therefore update log creation should run smoothly.
2) Previously, deleting an account that held existing contacts made it so that when that account was recreated with the same email, those contacts were unable to share injury logs with each other. This has now been fixed.
