### 5/5 — Great support and application

*2021-02-28*

I was having some issues and joined the HealthDataServer Discord server for help. I was quickly in contact with the developer and he helped me solve the problem I was having. I was very impressed with the quality of support. I use this app for streaming my workout heart rate and calories burned. Highly recommended 👍

### 5/5 — Heart rate sensor for Twitch streaming.

*2021-01-14*

Using this app paired with my Apple Watch 6 to have a heart rate sensor overlay in my Twitch streams. Setup was very easy and takes about 5 minutes.

There's a also a Discord for help if you need it! I had trouble with my firewall settings and was able to get it resolved. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Twitch Overlay is Easy to Modify

*2021-01-10*

This is the best way I’ve found to stream the data out to Twitch through a customizable overlay. It took a bit to get in initially setup, but it’s easy to modify to make it look how you want it to with some simple CSS! Great docs too. 🙌

### 5/5 — Definitely worth the money

*2020-12-28*

Setting it up is pretty simple, but if you have any issues there’s a discord you can join for help. The Dev is super active on there and made the experience 10x better while helping me set it up when I had connection issues. Now my streams can see my heart rate shoot up while playing scary games lol

### 5/5 — Works Really Well

*2020-12-05*

So took a little bit for me to get going but that’s just me. Works great and excited to have going on my stream on twitch

### 5/5 — Great App to Track Heart-rate via Apple Watch

*2020-12-04*

I use this app to track my heart-rate for my Twitch sim racing stream via my Apple Watch. When I compare the amount of time I’ve needed to set up the app half a year ago to now, things have really improved a lot on that front. The app is now easy to setup and very customizable. Looking forward to further quality of life updates.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2020-11-30*

Super straight forward to get this working . UI is simple, no messing about.

### 5/5 — Super app und super discord support

*2020-11-28*

Die App ist wirklich sehr gut und der Support auf discord ist unbeschreiblich gut. Mega zuvorkommen und die kümmern sich um dein Problem. Danke für die App

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2020-11-05*

Nice app easy to use ... really love it

### 5/5 — Amazing! Does all you need it to do

*2020-10-28*

Works exactly as expected! I’m using it for streaming and showing the heart rate while I’m playing horror games. I just love the fact that I can seamlessly use my own Apple Watch and show the data over on my stream. The developer is also super helpful and willing to help if you have any questions!

### 5/5 — What i needed!

*2020-10-21*

Works super easy without the Need of any coding besides knowing the Name of the Font, Color and size you want to use. Everything is super easy and looks fantastic!

### 5/5 — LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!

*2020-10-20*

Okay so I had just a little trouble in the beginning getting it to work, but the developer has an awesome discord where you can ask questions. After talking with him for a bit, he walked me through the entire thing (which wasn’t that difficult, I’m just slow with computers) and had it working in no time. It’s very accurate and has a simple yet perfect overlay display. I recommend this to anyone with an Apple Watch who doesn’t want to pay Unnecessary money to monitor their heart rate.

### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing.

*2020-10-18, version 5.1*

Perfectly streams heart rate and calories burned to Streamlabs OBS via the browser source it creates.

My only complaints are with the Apple Watch itself having difficulty reading my heart rate when I get super sweaty. I play Dance Dance Revolution so it’s very high movement and high sweat. This app keeps up like a champ though.

Check out the functionality on my streams at twitch.tv/xopher314.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2020-10-15, version 5.1*

It requires some programming skills though, especially if you want to setup/personalise the overlay. It works brilliantly and does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

### 5/5 — Great App, Greater Dev

*2020-10-12*

Was surprised to find something like this even existed, let alone works as well as it does. It streams heart rate information almost flawlessly to a web browser and integrates well with OBS, etc from there. Dev is friendly and actively working on improving the app - looking forward to what’s to come.

### 5/5 — Just works

*2020-10-11*

Easy to follow instructions and super friendly and responsive dev on github. I asked him for a feature and he implemented it super quickly! This is the only (as far as i know) option to show your heart rate info on a twitch overlay from your apple watch. It’s amazing and i am so grateful for it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work without the Apple Watch

*2023-01-06*

This app calls itself a health data server but without an official Apple Watch it seems to be useless

### 1/5 — Needs to be updated for 28.0

*2022-10-04, version 13.0*

Doesn’t work with new Obs

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-01-23, version 11.6*

Waste of money

### 1/5 — bought the app and dont work

*2020-09-29*

I bought and install all on pc and dont work. support sont answer. 1. when i will install the app on my warch dont work. i have watch series 6 and iphone max.

**Developer response:** Can you submit an issue on GitHub so I can try and help you?

### 1/5 — Purchased app and cannot download it

*2020-09-02, version 4.1*

Is this app for only series 3+ ??

### 1/5 — wish i could have left a positive review

*2020-06-19*

I purchased mainly to use for twitch streaming and unfortunately it didnt work for me. Followed all the directions and it didnt workout. The “start” batch file only showed connected and didnt show any numbers from the apple watch

**Developer response:** Can you please create an issue on the linked GitHub page so we can try and sort this out?

### 1/5 — Doesn’t let me set up

*2020-06-04, version 2.1*

Force press then settings comes up but does not let me enter the info to connect. Will update review If fixed. Looking to stream heartbeat on twitch for scary games! Sad it didn’t work :(

### 2/5 — Update messed me up

*2020-10-30, version 6.5.2*

Update was not working, so I deleted off my watch.. but now I can’t redownload it.

### 4/5 — works great! very easy to use

*2020-08-27*

the directions on github are easy to follow and every piece synced up easily and worked exactly as expected on my first try. but i really dislike the way it ties into my activity rings. i really dont think sitting and streaming for 2 hours should be counted as a 2 hour workout. my apple watch thinks i've burned 1300 calories today when all i've done is sit and stream to twitch.

**Developer response:** Version 5.0 should no longer affect the Activity Rings if “Save to Health” is turned off.

### 5/5 — Works perfectly out-of-the-box

*2023-01-07*

I use this for my stream overlay and it works perfectly. I’ve never had any issues and the developer is super nice

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2022-12-11, version 13.0*

Works like a charm.

### 5/5 — Working Great!

*2022-02-11*

This is working great, and taking our livestream workouts to the next level. And Aaron has been great with communication via email. Perhaps the ability to have sharper, less compress icons when uploaded - but, all in all...great!!

### 5/5 — Definitely the best option to get heart rate on stream.

*2021-07-30, version 11.5*

I used other free apps before and finally decided to give in and get HDS and I’m absolutely glad I did! The last option I used, I had to quickly enter a code and pray it would connect. Now I just open my watch and tap “start workout” and click the visibility flag on streamlabs and boom, instant heart rate for my horror streams. Thank you for HDS!

### 5/5 — Works perfect!

*2021-06-09*

This is exactly what I needed - Simple setup and excellent support to fix my user error. I use StreamLabs OBS and this is a simple and clean display of my Apple Watch Heart Rate Monitor.

### 5/5 — Nice piece of Software

*2021-04-12*

Nothing Bad to mention here.
Does what it is Supposed to do, no fancy useless functions.
Great, Awesome work!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2021-04-04, version 8.6*

Easy to set up and does not affect battery drainage. Absolutely worth the price.

### 5/5 — Very intuitive and great developer

*2021-04-02*

This app is easy to set up with then help of their setup instructions on GitHub. Even if you are not a streamer and want your audience to see your heart rate you can just use Chrome to see your heart rate by using the same link that is used for obs or stream labs. Overall a very cool way to see your heart rate if you have an Apple Watch. Also the developer is super nice and helpful. I’d you join the discord for help he responded to me within like 10 minutes and help me sort an issue.

### 5/5 — Perfect for what I need

*2021-03-03*

This app is awesome for me being a streamer, I needed a way to link my I watch heart rate monitor to my stream, with little to no knowledge about crossing one device to another it was really easy to do.
Now people can see my heart rate as I’m running away from monsters on my stream, or getting hyped about kills on FPS.
Fully recommend this app 5*+

### 5/5 — Best developer ever

*2021-03-01*

I had so many issues. Got in contact with the developer and he helped me with FAR more than just the app communicating with streamlabs. He even helped me with twitch issues. I now have a functional streamlabs
