### 2/5 — Not very accurate

*2018-09-28*

I downloaded this app because my son suffers from multiple food allergies. I just put the app to the test and scanned several items in my home that I know he can and cannot have. The items that I know he can have still came up on this app as caution and flagged items that I know he can have. It’s not very accurate. It was a waste of $2.99 for me.

### 2/5 — Cumbersome

*2017-06-27*

I don't like having to sign in every time I use it. Information is good but sometimes limited.

### 2/5 — Please fix the bugs

*2016-10-18, version 3.72*

I love this app and I want to help build the data base but it freezes every time I get to the second photo

### 2/5 — Limited allergens list

*2016-08-25, version 3.72*

Very limited allergens list can not add additional allergen to the list

Useless because you will have to read the label anyway

### 2/5 — Good if you only have typical allergies

*2016-08-18*

As someone with 50+ food intolerances on AIP, I was disappointed with the allergen narrowing options on this app, since they were limited to only the most common allergies out there. Your average gluten intolerant can only eat gluten free bread, but I'm one of the ones who can only eat 5-15% of the gluten free options out there. I know there are other people who probably came looking for apps with the same problems as I found.

Needless to say, it didn't do anything for me that I couldn't easily do myself, so it was a waste of money in my opinion.

It lists most name brand, common products, but most of those are things that people like me can't eat in the first place. I scanned a bunch of items from my kitchen and none of them come up at all on this app.

Lastly, the app is pretty buggy.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2016-08-14, version 3.72*

Incredibly bugs eat. Half the products I scan can't be found in the App's database. Waste of $4.

### 1/5 — Ack! Won't focus well! Won't scan! *crying*

*2016-08-05, version 3.72*

See title.😳😭

### 3/5 — Needs more products listed!

*2016-07-12, version 3.72*

Doesn't have 80% of the products I'm buying listed- buying at publix.

### 1/5 — Junk, I want my money back

*2016-04-22, version 3.72*

I read about this app in a health magazine and it seemed like a great toll to have for nutrition and health. Too bad it doesn't work. I have scanned about 20 items in my kitchen and not one of them has come up. Then they want you to spend your time taking pictures of the item and ingredient list to add to the library. Not going to happen I can read ingredients myself faster than I can work for
The app for free.

### 1/5 — rubbish

*2016-03-01, version 3.72*

this should state clearly that it is a usa app not any good for the uk please refund my money

### 1/5 — Don't pay for this app

*2016-02-25, version 3.72*

I scanned like 10 items ranging from water to a granola bar and none of them were found so I had to enter the information

### 1/5 — Don't waste your $$

*2016-02-19, version 3.72*

Has literally nothing in its database... An excellent idea for an app, but I'm not stoked on paying for something I have to build myself. Huge thumbs down.

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2016-01-30, version 3.72*

Horrible waste of $!
You'll spend more time emailing photos & nutritional info than using the app.

### 1/5 — Avoid if you live in the UK

*2016-01-25, version 3.72*

Nothing that I scan is recognised, avoid if you live in the UK as it is useless

### 1/5 — Do not buy this

*2016-01-21, version 3.72*

Bought this app for 4$ and all it does is asking me to help building there data base since they have so fare 0 UPC that worked. Over 25 items 0 i gave up and deleted it. Wish i could get my money back.

### 2/5 — Great idea but needs to expand the database NOW!

*2016-01-12, version 3.72*

Great concept. It is exactly was I need to identify the products I should try to avoid but the database is so small. It really needs to grow and fast or I'm not going to be interested in this app very soon. Great idea!

### 3/5 — Great, but buggy

*2016-01-04*

Most namebrand products seem to be included in the database which is wonderful. The diversity of the nutritional information is great for people with a wide range of health issues. However every time I go to click on an ingredient, I get an error message saying the wiki page is not available please try again later. It's been two days I don't know how much later it wants me to try.

### 2/5 — Links are broken

*2016-01-04, version 3.72*

All the ingredient links are broken

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2024-04-30*

I wanted the scanner to check foods at the grocery store but the scanner does not work. If it is moved to close it blurs out and moving in and out does not help. I looked for support from the creator and it shows there is no support. I’m out the cost of the app that doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Does not even let me sign up

*2023-03-27*

Forwarning. I just payed for this and it won’t even let me confirm my info to sign up — I keep pressing send and its not sending. Since it won’t let me sign up - even though I just payed for it - it is unusable.

### 1/5 — Misinformation

*2018-05-11*

None of the foods I scanned were on the list and the one that was only showed me what was on the label. Also it charges monthly automatically.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2017-07-03, version 4.17*

Purchased app to find it's an automatic renewal! I think that it quite deceptive - it should state clearly before purchase. Also limited allergies to enter- for example I can have egg yolk but not white but I can only choose whole egg in the app.
The biggest disappointment is the continued payment - I don't know how to stop it! I don't Feel the app is good enough to have an ongoing charge :(

### 1/5 — Crap!

*2017-01-01, version 3.72*

8 hours into the new year and I've been scammed!! Paid 5$ for nothing! There is no food list....garbage!

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2016-12-20, version 3.72*

Must of scanned 25 items and not one had info. Even items like ketchup and mayonnaise. Worst app ever. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Extremely disappointed and want a refund. 😤😤😤😤

### 1/5 — No Australian products!!

*2016-12-17, version 3.72*

This app has no Australian products and the ability to add items doesn't work. Don't waste your money!!

### 1/5 — UPC's not is database

*2016-11-29, version 3.72*

Just downloaded and scanned two items in my pantry and neither were in the database. Not helpful. I want my money back.

### 1/5 — No Australian products

*2016-10-07, version 3.72*

This app doesn't have any Australian products. Do not recommend.

### 1/5 — Seriously Lacking food database

*2016-10-05, version 3.72*

In theory it's a good idea. But their food database is seriously lacking. You can scan the barcode of a can of green beans, a fairly common food item, and they don't have any data on it. The app has potential, but needs some serious backend upgrades before I think anyone can get any real value out of it.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2015-06-26, version 3.72*

This app clearly helps me with eating healthier.. also it can
1. Detect GMO and NonGmo in food
2. Avoid food allergies like Gluten and MSG
3. I love the fact that shows me the reason why I should avoid the food product and turns the bad ingredients to Red
4. its easy to follow, I only eat food that app gives me the app’s Green check mark

It's like having 4 apps all in one app and for the price of one app.

### 5/5 — great app

*2014-12-29, version 3.72*

this app is very useful for catching mistakes made when reading labels, as well as flag ingredients that should be avoided. the option to add product is innovative itself, just snap three pictures and you are helping others to be healthier. must have for allergy sufferers or anyone trying to avoid certain ingredients. thank you

### 5/5 — great app

*2014-11-02, version 3.72*

### 5/5 — This app has been Life Saver!

*2014-09-07, version 3.72*

### 5/5 — Terrific App

*2014-08-22, version 3.72*

Set up your own profile in seconds, then scan everything in your pantry, cupboards, refrigerator or take it to the market to identify foods containing ingredients that you shouldn't be eating. Easy to use, responsive and well supported. Terrific app!
