### 3/5 — Would love to reference my own tracks from library

*2023-01-10, version 2.7.1*

But nothing ever plays. Says 19 protected and 504 available. Nothing works after trying many though. Shame as seems a good but buggy app.

### 5/5 — Just what I need

*2022-06-27, version 2.6.0*

Heard about this app training from a friend. Really need it. Always playing solo acoustic gigs and the mix sounds horrible. Or I buy a pedal or a mixer to save the day and it just makes it worse. Using this training I hope to figure out what needs adjusted up or down so I can give my performance some much needed clarity. Scoring 3 out of 12 on Day1 so I definitely need it.

### 5/5 — Absolute Lifesaver

*2022-05-14, version 2.6.0*

This app is awesome– it’s the only one I’ve seen that quizzes you on boosts AND cuts and it’s so easy to use your own music. It’s best if you don’t use phone speakers, I do it in my car and with headphones. It’s super fun and easy to do for a long time. My ear has noticeably improved. The price is insanely worth it if you’re dedicated to improving your mixes. This is a company that obviously cares for musicians– hearEQ, beat mirror, and Waay are all such valuable tools for improving your ear and musicianship. Genuinely, thank you!!

### 5/5 — Marvelous

*2022-04-27, version 2.6.0*

Once you’ve started ain’t no going back.

### 5/5 — DOWNLOAD IT

*2021-05-08, version 2.4.1*

I hardly ever write reviews but I just bought a subscription to a different training website and it offers sort of the same thing but cost me $24 a month. This app is so amazing

### 5/5 — Only needs 1 more feature

*2021-04-29, version 2.4.1*

It’d be really helpful if there was a Compare button after you miss a question on a quiz. That way you could better understand the differences between your guess and the right answer. But I use this daily!

### 5/5 — Great EQ training and easy to use

*2021-04-02, version 2.4.0*

I love this app for training ears to hear frequencies

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2021-03-02, version 2.4.0*

Great way to tune your ears into recognizing different frequencies. I was wondering whether the app accounts for the slight increase/decrease in volume of the song as a whole when a single frequency band is increased/decreased? I feel like, when using the quiz, you always already know whether it’s an increase or decrease automatically simply because the song as a whole increases/decreases slightly in volume. But perhaps this has already been built in and I haven’t trained my ears well enough yet!

### 4/5 — Really Good App, Just One thing Missing..

*2021-01-29, version 2.4.0*

I really enjoy using this app. It helps fine tune my ears for better beat production. I just wish I could add song to the add song feature without having to connect to a computer. Not having a MacBook with my iPhone makes this process very difficult. Maybe a feature where you could add songs directly from iCloud or files would be nice, it would definitely deserve 5 stars. Other than that the app is perfection.

### 4/5 — COOL

*2021-01-01, version 2.4.0*

Not sure why but every time I try to open the app it immediately crashes/closes making it unusable. I uninstalled/reinstalled it several times with no luck. iOS version is up to date etc... Please fix?

UPDATE: the app finally opens and functions fine now, i thought it was due to an updated version since my last review but since the Dev responded and i dont see any changes in the Version History timeline i'm not sure what happened; but i'm glad i can finally use the app! Gave it 4 stars for the nice interface and good customer service, will update my rating again once i experience the app's learning results and methods etc.

### 5/5 — Ear training on another level

*2020-12-14, version 2.4.0*

💯❤️

### 5/5 — Good enough to share!

*2020-10-27, version 2.4.0*

I tell my friends about the app!

### 5/5 — Perfect. Buy it now.

*2020-10-20, version 2.4.0*

Elegant User experience makes this app incredibly intuitive and easy to use. My only enhancement request would be to allow the quizzes to increment through a playlist on either each quiz, or each question.

不能添加音乐

### 1/5 — 无语

*2024-11-12*

为什么自己的歌不能读取啊

### 1/5 — Does not work with Apple Music

*2023-09-23, version 2.7.2*

App sees some songs in Apple Music library but does not allow you to play any of them. No errors, song isn’t even selected. App is ineligible for refund. Don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — Useless without upgrade to subscription

*2023-08-06, version 2.7.2*

Will allow me to import local files on iPad and EQ that is on basic version is off and useless. Waste of time and money! Not any real setup options

### 1/5 — DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

*2023-04-08, version 2.7.1*

Search up “Technical Ear Trainer” there’s a free site that does everything this does but better and with more features. No purchases no crap.

The only downside is that it only works on laptop, but it’s soooo much better.

### 1/5 — I think I’m having a problem

*2022-06-07, version 2.6.0*

I just purchased this app hoping to use it with my personal Apple Music library but something doesn’t seem to be working. Does this app not work with Apple Music streaming? Only about 3 songs from my Apple Music library are showing up. I’m very confused and would really like the app to work as it should. Any developer help?

### 1/5 — Where can I find these un-DMR and no clouded music

*2019-04-30*

Rely to Developer:
Actually I have E-mail your guys But after pretty long time I haven't received your answer yet,I will be very glad If you can tell me the details about How to do it ,How to add non-cloud tracks in iphone ,It seems many people have the same question here

**Developer response:** Hey, the good news is that this looks like just a simple misunderstanding! "Protection" just refers to DRM (数字版权管理) protection which is actually quite rare, not copyright protection. You should be able to access pretty much any of your non-cloud tracks from hearEQ. Just select a new song in hearEQ and you'll see your library there. :) Please don't hesitate to email at alex[at]tenkettles[dot]com if you have any more questions—happy to help! -Alex

UPDATE: hearEQ users generally use tracks they've purchased from iTunes or elsewhere, music they've recorded themselves, or any other mp3s or sound files they have in their library. There's no special procedure for loading these into hearEQ; hearEQ simply accesses your music library like any other player. Just transfer your music onto your iPhone and you'll be good to go! I'd be happy to provide further guidance via email. Re: your emails, I haven't received any new email from you since your initial message on April 25th; perhaps try emailing again? You can always expect a reply by the next business day, latest. :) -Alex

### 1/5 — 唉

*2016-07-28*

根本没声音

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2016-07-12, version 1.5.0*

Bought a burger and had to pay extra for the patty and even more to have condiments.

I bought this app thinking it would be usable right away but you have to pay an additional $2.79 for pink noise generation and another $2.79 to enable all frequency bands.

If anything the developers should have made the pink noise standard and charged the additional fee to use your own music as the former is standard in any ear training product and not everyone loads mp3's on their phones.

App does what it says but the way it is marketed leaves a sour taste. Obviously not relying on repeat customers.

### 1/5 — Hear eq

*2016-05-09, version 1.5.0*

### 5/5 — 蚌埠吾音汽车音响改装店

### 5/5 — Awesome audio training

*2025-01-04, version 2.7.2*

It's good for learning the spectrum of the small speakers on your phone.

### 5/5 — Great app for training tour ears

*2024-06-06, version 2.7.2*

This is a excellent app for training's your ears to hear different frequencies in the music to learn how to boost and cut unwanted frequencies

### 5/5 — Fast developer response time

*2023-11-26, version 2.7.2*

App crashed on launch when I first got it. Left a review about it and - what do you know - it works not two days later!

Excited to dig in and leave a long term use review.

### 5/5 — Tellement pratique

*2023-05-24*

Une App bien pensée, vraiment pratique et agréable. La possibilité de choisir sa propre bibliothèque est fondamentale. Je la conseille sans modération.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review and the feedback! I apologize for not writing back in French, but I do hear your comments: a) group tracks in the Library by artist/album, and b) track your progress. I've made a note of this feedback for future versions. Happy EQing! -Alex

### 5/5 — Guess the EQ

*2023-01-12, version 2.7.1*

This test checks to see if you can spot the change in EQ. I started off scoring 2 out 10 questions correctly. I stayed with for about 15 minutes and soon I was scoring 5 out of 10 questions correctly. This does work and what’s more it focuses on my inability to correctly answer low EQ questions correctly. Most questions that were high-frequency based I could spot fast, but low-frequency based questions I still struggle with so that’s important feedback for me. Tells me which area of the frequency spectrum where I need to pay attention. Great product!

### 5/5 — This app is great!

*2022-12-07, version 2.7.1*

This is one of the best ways to improve your ability to recognize frequencies. PERIOD! It’s accurate and affordable! My only complaint is that it’s not available for computers.😔

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2022-10-04*

Really help me with my listening, by noticing the difference frequencies. Thanks
