## What is Hearing History?

Hearing History brings the sounds and sights of Erddig alive with augmented reality. The app works with an interactive printed brochure – Hearing History: Writing the Sounds of Erddig – to launch multimedia directly from your device. Download the app, hover your camera over any image in the brochure with the AR icon, and enjoy audio, video, and image galleries that immerse you in Erddig's stories.


 

Erddig, near Wrexham in North Wales, is among the National Trust's most fascinating houses. Servants and Yorke family members alike engaged in artistic and expressive pursuits. Musical instruments, music books, and sheet music are abundant at Erddig, and life at the house was often noisy with sounds of work and play. The Hearing History app and interactive brochure bring this sonorous past to life through an innovative blend of creative writing and multimedia.
