I ran a series of tests on this app’ comparing its results with a another, heart rate app’ that I have used for over 10 years - and has proven accuracy. I also compared with ECG readings at the same time. This app’ consistently showed rates typically 20% below the figure from the other 2 sources taken within minutes of each other. 
Further, I removed my finger from the lens 5 seconds into the reading and this app’ carried on for the full session and produced a “result”!
So, ditch this one, it’s a dangerous excuse to subject you to unwanted advertising.

I waved my hand 4 inches away from the camera and it started measuring “heart rate” while there was nothing between the wall and the camera and i was shocked to know that even my wall has a heart rate of 52 bpm. Uninstalled it just now.
