I’ve tried so many times and deleted my entire bio just to enter their emoji and nothing works. There is no where on the website or app to send technical issues to in order for this to be resolved. I’m hoping someone responds on here to help me get it verified or else I will be losing out on collaborations because of it. ### 2/5 — Was amazing, *2022-02-08, version 1.2.8* When I first used this app in 2018 it was GREAT. Drybar had sent a product to do a campaign on IG (which I never got paid for from heartbeat, but I didn’t mind at the time bc I was still happy about drybar lol) the following campaign never sent the product and I wasn’t allowed to qualify for any campaigns after that. Now anytime I try connecting TikTok or IG or my address, it won’t allow me. I’ve even made a new heartbeat account to connect my TikTok and new address. It says account invalid on TikTok. Yet I still get emails to verify the pay bump in march ### 2/5 — No one will respond to me and no payments made *2021-09-23, version 1.2.8* This used to be a great app but I have been waiting for my payment on 3 campaigns for months now and no response from support. I have emailed them 10 times now with absolutely nothing. These brands are now reposting my work that I have yet gotten paid. There is no contact number, I have tried leaving an Instagram DM and emails are completely useless. What used to be my favorite app is now just a disgrace. ### 2/5 — Never get selected *2021-09-19, version 1.2.8* The app overall is cool I guess but good luck getting picked to do anything. I’ve been using this app for months now and I keep getting emails to apply for try but applications always get rejected shortly after! Why do I need to have my social media’s attached to show you my followers when you don’t even base whom you chose from the following. I have used this service for years and always get campaigns and free products. You don’t get paid that much but they have a lot of campaigns available and it’s very easy and straightforward. ### 1/5 — Don’t bother. *2021-07-16, version 1.2.8* This app is a waste of time. I have gained absolutely nothing from it. The campaigns that I applied for just ended up not responding. Some just email me to see if I wanted to be an ambassador. Meaning they aren’t going to pay for me posting but give me a small commission for any referrals. That’s something almost everyone offers and I can do that myself. It’s also the same rotating companies over and over again. They don’t even respond with a yes or no. It’s a ghost town on the app. Deactivated my account. ### 1/5 — No payment since 2 months *2021-01-09, version 1.2.8* I haven’t been paid for over 10 campaigns and also haven’t been reimbursed for products I bought for the campaigns. Whenever I mail them regarding the issue, they only have one response that their system is having some issues. I just want to know what is this mysterious issue that is stopping them from paying influencers but not stopping them from accepting campaign requests from brands. I know this pandemic has affected everyone, but I don’t understand how they are able to put up new campaigns if their business is affected. I am sure the brands have paid for the campaigns. After all heartbeat isn’t paying the influencers out of their own pocket. ### 3/5 — So many issues with it *2020-12-02, version 1.2.8* This app was amazing when it first came out. But as time passes it seems like everything is lacking. I haven’t been able to update a profile picture to my heart be up for months now it won’t let me add a photo at all so right now it’s just a gray heart that is the main picture so I’m not even getting campaigns because of that every Time I try to add it from photos it won’t upload at all and if I try to grab my picture from my Instagram page it closes me out of the heartbeat app completely and it’s been doing that for months now and I’ve already tried to re-download it locked myself out restart my phone everything and nothings worked. ### 4/5 — Great app, but *2020-10-23, version 1.2.8* I’ve been using the app since it launched and it hadn’t caused me any problems, but recently the app just crashes. I’ve been using safari to sign in and register for campaigns. There is just one thing on the next update that would be amazing. If the campaigns could be put in order from accepted to applied. :) ### 1/5 — Never loads *2020-09-01, version 1.2.8* I have had issues with this app since signing up. Initially, it wouldn’t recognize the info in my IG bio to verify my account. I had to email them for assistance. I never got a response back but a week later it looked like it worked so I’m guessing someone fixed it. For the last week or so, the app won’t load at all. Just a white screen. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still having the same issues. ### 3/5 — Needs Improvement *2020-07-23, version 1.2.8* I have been a part of Hbt for a while. This app and customer service both could use some improvement. There are times when the app doesn’t register a post or story. The only way to talk to support is via email and they do not respond fast enough - so better hope it’s not a tight deadline. Pay also seems to never increase. I still enjoy it, i just wish there was more support. ### 1/5 — Too many app bugs and horrible service *2020-06-25, version 1.2.8* I tried using this app, but far too many campaigns had technical difficulties. They’d show up in my app then disappear the next day. So many of them don’t apply to me so I can’t complete them either. ALSO- the customer service is HORRIBLE. They don’t actually fix anything and are not pleasant one bit. I never got my payment for any campaigns. I will not be using this app anymore. What a disgrace. ### 1/5 — I tried it *2020-05-21, version 1.2.8* Well, like everyone else is saying.. the app is totally non-responsive regarding campaigns. You fill out surveys (which is probably the main reason for the app in the first place) and then campaigns get funneled to you. You apply for the campaign and they tell you to stay tuned for the next steps. Unfortunately, there seems to be no next steps as your campaigns just pile up and sit there. It’s been a over month and a half of answering surveys on behalf of company startups. I told myself I would be deleting this app at the end of May if I have not received any response. I’m in Digital Marketing and this looks like folly. Lastly, how does this app have a 4.5 star rating when most of the ratings are 3 stars or lower. Weird. ### 2/5 — The pay is horrible *2020-04-23, version 1.2.8* I used Heartbeat for a couple of years. It was the first influencer app I used. After a while, I asked for an increase in pay (as my number of followers increased) and they declined. It is ridiculous what they pay their influencers! I get paid 4x to 6x more from other agencies/apps. (Also it takes customer service two or three days to return messages.) The app is nice and works great otherwise. ### 4/5 — Great app, until now... *2020-03-14, version 1.2.8* I’ve been using the app for over a year and have never experienced any real issues with the app or customer service. They’ve always been helpful and informative. Love most of the brands they work with and working with them! Now recently every time I try to open my app, it won’t and it just stays a blank white page. That makes it hard to respond to or check out campaigns, surveys, posts and/or your profile. ### 2/5 — Has bugs they need to fix/don’t always pay for content *2019-10-11, version 1.2.8* I really liked this app when I first downloaded it but lately I haven’t been able to submit any of the campaigns I’ve been approved for. I’ve tried redownloading the app to my phone and have emailed Heartbeat each time. I was told the company would submit for me yet they never did. It’s super frustrating especially when you go through the work to create content and post it, and then they fail to pay you. ### 1/5 — Zero communication *2019-10-03, version 1.2.8* No assistance or even response regarding any issue - be it the new campaign or the missing payment on the passed one - in nearly a year! I remember the time back at the start of the company when they’d go out of their way to help you out, now it’s just the most frustrating business there is. The app is constantly crashing, it’s almost better not having it at all if they are unable to make it work. ### 1/5 — Heartbeat Joke *2019-09-27, version 1.2.8* Good luck getting your payments. They lie & say they have submitted the payment & you never receive the money. Also, good luck getting anyone to answer you back from support. I wonder if the brands know that this company is just pocketing their money. UPDATE: After waiting for months & being told by a guy named Jose that he wasn’t sending a payment out today. I finally received my payment. Took forever. Now I get NO campaigns ever. Just the email saying ‘don’t get discouraged’ LOL. I also noticed it’s the same influencers getting the campaigns over & over, just go look at the businesses tags for the campaign. All the same skinny little hippie looking white girls. They give the crappy campaigns to the rest of the people here & there. Low pay rates, bad customer service, & discriminate is why I stopped using this company. They also pay for a lot of the 5 star reviews on here so be careful. Hard pass. ### 2/5 — Used to be great *2019-06-08, version 1.2.7* Over the last few months, this app has gone downhill fast. They used to be quick about accepting you into campaigns, payment, etc. Now, if you don’t get accepted into a campaign, zero response, and if you do get into one, they don’t always review or pay. Their customer service used to be amazing, but recently I’ve written 2x and crickets. Seems like they want you to do the work, but once you do, they have no desire to do anything on their part (pay you). I also find it strange, that when they email about campaigns you’ve been accepted to, they asked you not to respond back. When working on other campaigns outside heartbeat, I have great communication with the customer. I love the ease of the app, but the overall process needs to go back to the way it was. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — The app is written in a crank and the support is terrible *2023-01-24, version 1.2.8* Most companies are garbage. You will be required to have quality content, and most likely you will buy the product for this collaboration yourself. You will be promised a refund and payment at the end of the company. The payment is most $50 or less, and often takes more than 30 business days. Will they pay you? Not a fact. I got screwed. I bought a product to promote, even though the brand or platform could have taken care of it themselves. After over 2 months, no one has paid me for my work. After contacting support repeatedly, I never received any response. Log in. I can not log in to the account, because I get a message about the unpaid domain. I cannot log in through the desktop browser, because my browser is getting message about protection. I do not recommend beginners Influencers to waste their time on this piece of crap. You deserve better. Decent brands pay a lot more than $50 even to small bloggers. And ad agencies don't allow that kind of treatment of Influencers. ### 1/5 — AVOID this app if you like getting paid on time *2022-09-18, version 1.2.8* This platform makes you wait 30 business days (six actual weeks, not including any federal holidays) for payment. That time is absolutely ridiculous. I completed a campaign recently, waited my 30 business days, and noticed that my payment never came through after I tried to redeem it. I reached out to support and they said there was some sort of issue and my account was being prioritized. I logged in again today to check and my payment still hadn’t shown up in PayPal. I checked the app and it’s saying “payment redeemed”. I don’t know if there’s a glitch or if I’m being screwed out if my campaign money. Either way, once this is settled, I’m done. ### 1/5 — The worst *2022-06-08, version 1.2.8* Stay far far away from this app! First off, they have no link for support. Want to get TikTok verified? Good luck. I had to respond to several of their promotional emails before anyone finally responded to me. And you’ll never actually get any campaigns. They just make you answer survey questions all day long and when you apply for campaigns you get refused every time. I can’t even tell you how many I applied for and I’ve only been selected once and they only paid me $10!!!!! Are you serious?! I work with major brands on other platforms where I’m paid HUNDREDS of dollars for one post and this app thinks they can get away with $10? 😂 save your time. Download the Tribe app where you can actually work and get paid as a creator. ### 1/5 — CREATORS STAY AWAY! *2022-06-06, version 1.2.8* CREATORS STAY AWAY! I’ve been using Heartbeat for years and can honestly say it is sinking fast. I have completed many campaigns and was supposed to get paid for four of them that I did back in December and have reached out MULTIPLE times with no one ever following up with it even after being persistent for many months. They’ll answer you initially and then never get back to you. I lost out on my earnings from this and will probably never get paid. It’s a scam app that takes advantage of creators and doesn’t even offer fair prices in the first place. ### 1/5 — THE WORST INFLUENCER APP EVER *2022-04-19, version 1.2.8* Let me just say that heartbeat is by far the WORST platform I have EVER used! You submit your content and sometimes you don’t get paid for 2-3 months not to mention their once stingy pay rate. They claimed to have raised it last March but I was STILL paid the old pay rate and then told that they are working on it “ASAP” (As slow as possible). Now I have a long history with heartbeat and I KNOW they wont be fixing this anytime soon. I’ve had campaigns on here that got me so frustrated I deactivated my Instagram for 6 months because heartbeat wouldn’t pay me. It started off so well. I remember when you’d get paid after just 5 days. Then the raised it to 7. Soon it was 15 and now it’s 30 business days when it’s really 3 months! I am so SICK of this. I’m tired of the unfairness of heartbeat. They are literally the ONLY platform I use that does this and they’ve made me dislike using their service. You must decide if you want to be in the long standing war with them for your money. I am officially OVER IT! ### 1/5 — Still waiting on my payments *2022-02-24, version 1.2.8* Never had I had this issue with Heartbeat until recently! I’ve been waiting to get paid for 3 campaigns since December and at first their customer service was very responsive and now nothing!! I definitely don’t recommend working with them if this is how they value the work that we Influencers put so much time and effort into!! ### 1/5 — Not getting paid *2021-12-20, version 1.2.8* The app/company was good when I first started using them, but slowly the payments dragged out. It went from 7 days to get payment to 15 days and now 1 month. Now, I’m not even getting paid and have to follow up with them multiple times!!! I probably have 20+ emails trying to get paid. It’s not even much money either, but I expect to be paid according to what they promised. It’s baffling that a company that is supposedly #23 on Inc 5000 won’t pay you. Horrible. ### 1/5 — Not Ideal for POC *2021-11-14, version 1.2.8* Great when I first started using it two years ago. However, I have only gotten approved for two campaigns in the last year and a half. For one of them, it took over a month for payment to come through. I conducted a test, and changed my profile’s race to “White.” Every day for a week after, I was then flooded with campaign requests. Not surprised, but certainly disappointed in this brand. Account deleted. ### 1/5 — You’ll Want to Read This Re: Payments *2021-09-29, version 1.2.8* I received an email from one of their staff asking me to complete an assignment that was overdue (of which I had already completed and submitted), and they would give me a bonus worth two and a half times the original amount I should have received per my pay rate. Apparently, late work is more valuable than on time work that effort went into in the first place. ### 1/5 — DO NOT COLLABORATE!!!! *2021-09-16, version 1.2.8* I’m not sure what is going on with this company but multiple influencers that do campaigns for Heartbeat are not being paid. They are also not responding to emails or comments on Instagram. As a matter of fact, they’ve deleted a few posts in which complaints were made regarding their failure to pay and/or respond to messages. I did a campaign for them two months ago and have yet to receive anything... ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Profile picture not uploading *2021-05-02, version 1.2.8* The app it self is so cool and really has helped me get out there to different brands. So, my only issue is that it won’t let me upload a profile picture which is frustrating because brands won’t accept you if they see an incomplete profile. ### 5/5 — Gets you brand deals !! *2018-12-16, version 1.2.0* I’ve been getting really great brand deals through this app!! Some better than others... but for the most part it helps influencers who are trying to make it! ### 5/5 — Love it even tho it's not the best payment *2018-12-14, version 1.2.0* This app has been giving me a lot of campaigns but the payment rate it's not the best like other apps, even tho I love the fact that I'm showing my self out as an influencer through this app for low rate instead to be waiting for a high payment for one post a month or even nothing, so if you are wanting to be an influencer and not get too much payment at the beginning I highly recommend this app, by the way I only have 1.1k followers in Instagram and they pay me $10 usd per Post 🤔 ### 5/5 — Free stuff! *2018-11-16, version 1.2.0* I have a son and I got two gift cards for him from promoting Gymboree. Both gift cards being $100 and the other $200. I also earns $15 for each paid campaign I participate in. Some campaigns give you free stuff like hairdryers, expresó machines and even snacks to try out and promote. I highly recommend this app. It’s so simple fun and easy! 💕 ### 5/5 — Easy to use, actually good products *2018-10-27, version 1.2.0* I love that the Heartbeat Ambassador program is easy to be a part of. I don't qualify for a ton of campaigns, which is normal, but I have loved the different products I’ve promoted.
