### 4/5 — Not for Garmin

*2026-07-25*

Disappointed! Tried connect to Garmin Fenix 8 Pro sapphire using AirPods Pro 3 with no luck. Fenix sees Heartrate cast but will not connect. Hoping this will work in the future. 4 stars because of the pricing model and the ability to test before buying. If it would connect I would buy without reservation. Does display HR from AirPods Pro 3 on iPhone without issue.

**Developer response:** Hi Gymrat34, thanks for your balanced rating in your review. While we state that HeartCast does not work with Garmin devices, we understand the desire. Please email us if you'd like to help us test HeartCast with your Fenix device. contact@heartcast.app

### 4/5 — Good but …..

*2026-07-13, version 3.6.1*

I use this to over come the short comings of the FIT controller on my Reise & Müller Homage 5 HS Pinion ebike. It does not see the Apple Watch as a heart rate monitor. A Bluetooth issue I believe.

However, HeartCast does transfer the Apple Watch heart rate to the bike display. But in doing so it stops the Apple Activity app from running.

### 2/5 — When it works, it’s great

*2026-06-15, version 3.6.0*

***updated review***

6-14-2026

New version works perfectly!

Thanks for the attention on fixing this app.

*******************

I wish this app would work even 90% of the time. It consistently loses connection with the watch. I’m using it with ROUVY and I start the app on my phone and then initiate the heart rate tracking on my watch. It consistently drops out. During my ride, I have to quit it. Restarted it quit it restarted it. Please figure out what the Bluetooth issue is with this because that’s where the problem seems to lie. Consistently losing connection to the watch. I would love to rate this higher, but it just doesn’t work reliably enough. I’m going back to the Apple workout tracking which is too bad because it’s nice when it works with ROUVY.

### 4/5 — This is good

*2026-06-10, version 3.3.2*

I had difficulty understanding how to start it, still not sure.

I use it to communicate with my Riese & Müller Homage 5 S Pinion. Which has a FIT controller that does not communicate directly with Apple Watch.

Heart rate now on FIT display.

Heartcast was a ChatGP suggestion.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2026-01-19*

I’ve used HeartCast to connect my Apple Watch heart rate to Zwift, Peloton, MyWhoosh, and now Kinomap. It has gotten simpler and faster the past few years and, any time I’ve had issues, it was because of the other software I was connecting to. I didn’t want to buy a dedicated heart rate monitor when I already had an Apple Watch. When I couldn’t find any other solution, this was it and it continues to be the best solution for me.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for sharing this lovely review! <3

### 5/5 — heart rate can pass to garmin 1040 by using my iphone & apple watch?

*2026-01-18, version 3.2.2*

subject is the question thank you

### 4/5 — Great new features, but…

*2026-01-18, version 3.2.2*

The latest updates came with great new features, including faster and more reliable connection. However, it is annoying that it always writes the workout to Apple Health. Despite the settings that it shouldn’t. So that leaves you with always deleting it manually afterwards.

### 2/5 — Not satisfied

*2026-01-02, version 3.2.2*

Not supporting devices that are not Apple Watch

### 5/5 — Great Heart Rate Monitoring App

*2025-12-21*

I’ve used this for years, but the 2025 updates (AirPods Pro 3 support and haptic zone alerts) have made it even better. It’s reliable, private and keeps my Apple Watch or air pods at the center of my fitness data. Setup is quick and it has never dropped a connection during a long ride. The customer service is responsive and reliable. I just donated $100 to show my appreciation. There’s not many like this out there. 10/10.

**Developer response:** Thank you so very much for your kind review and incredibly generous donation! 💙

### 2/5 — Eher nutzlos mit Garmin und Rouvy

*2025-12-14, version 3.1.0*

Funktioniert entweder gar nicht oder immer nur kurz. Nervig und letztendlich nutzlos für mich.

### 2/5 — Worked great until last update

*2025-12-13, version 3.1.0*

Can no longer broadcast

### 5/5 — Działa!

*2025-12-12, version 3.1.0*

Sprawdza się przy udostępnianiu tętna z apple watcha do treningów w zwift’cie

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Corrupts workout data

*2026-03-14*

If you don’t stop the workout and close the app, then come back later it will write garbage data to apple health even with the app off.

**Developer response:** We only save data after a workout, per user request or user preferences. This can also be disabled. It’s true that workouts need to be manually stopped. Happy to troubleshoot any issues here: contact@heartcast.app

### 1/5 — Not for Garmin

*2026-02-05, version 3.2.3*

When you read the help it does not support Garmin Edge devices. Looks great otherwise!

### 1/5 — Not for tacx training app

*2026-01-26*

Unfortunately it doesn’t work for what I wanted, which was to easily sync HR from apple watch to tacx indoor workouts. All it does is separately start a indoor cycling (or other) workout, which I can already do with apple workouts.

### 1/5 — Sometimes works

*2025-12-28*

This works sometimes. Often have to kill the app multiple times in both my watch and phone before they will sync up and I can actually start broadcasting. Even then, sometimes it will just stop working halfway though my ride. Most of the time once it’s connected it doesn’t send updates at regular intervals there will be periods where my cycling app doesn’t receive a value for several seconds up to several minutes.

Recently, they added the ability to record works to apple health. This is REQUIRED now for the app to work. I do not want this app writing workouts to Apple health. My cycling app does that. All this is doing is forcing me to go delete a workout that doesn’t even have accurate data to begin with.

**Developer response:** Under Preferences please choose: “Never Save” for the Workout option: “Save to Apple Health”.

Please feel free to email us some details about your cycling app so we can investigate the other issues.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work for me

*2025-12-20*

This app does not work to connect my Apple Ultra 3 watch to my Garmin Edge 1050 bicycle computer using an iPhone 15 Pro. It appears to make the connection using BLE but the Garmin 1050 does not receive any heart rate data.

**Developer response:** Hi DCherne, we specifically state that we do not support Garmin devices. Please be kind and reconsider this review. We work hard to support as many devices as we can.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work since the upgrade

*2025-12-13, version 3.1.0*

Both my iPhone 16 and Apple Watch series 10 are on the latest version of heartcast and now it won’t connect to ROUVY. It worked fine on the previous version

### 1/5 — Why you update

*2025-12-11, version 3.1.0*

Please downgrade, it keeping disconnect

### 1/5 — Not working

*2025-12-10, version 3.1.0*

The last two updates makes it impossible to cast heart rate to the peloton. It’s ridiculous

### 1/5 — Xmas Update

*2025-12-09, version 3.0.0*

The latest update has some serious bugs: no way to turn off the app on my Apple Watch except rebooting and the screen lock disable on my iPhone no longer works.

### 1/5 — Broken. Avoid.

*2025-12-08, version 3.0.0*

This version is completely broken. Nothing works. Don't update if you can help.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Plays with others

*2026-07-14*

I appreciate being able to listen to audible, see my cycle stats on Strava and my heart rate on my phone without tech glitches.

**Developer response:** Thank you, Mr Natural 57! We appreciate you!

### 5/5 — Works well with MyWhoosh

*2026-06-15, version 3.6.0*

Previously gave up on using my watch for indoor cycling after how unreliable the zwift version was.

Moved to MyWhoosh and realised they had no watch app, and came across this.

Works perfectly, and is reliable and stable. Not a single drop out.

Great that it lets me now connect to anything that needs a Bluetooth heart rate sensor

### 5/5 — Simple and brilliant

*2026-06-06, version 3.3.2*

It just does it, no fuss.

### 5/5 — EXCELLENT !

*2026-06-03*

I’ve been looking all over forever for an app that does exactly this and I’ve been searching for a long time. Finally found this one and it does exactly what I wanted. Kudos to you and it’s free! But I went beyond and purchased all the in app stuff available. Great app for the gym.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much Mikey! We appreciate the kind words and your support means a lot!

### 5/5 — The only heart rate app you need

*2026-05-25, version 3.3.2*

Simple, clean layout and easy to use. Nothing else is needed to send your heart rate to any Bluetooth app or machine. Picks up from Watch, AirPods Pro 3, or chest strap. I use it to send data to a Concept2 rower and EXR running on an IPad. Love it.

### 5/5 — Great HR App!

*2026-05-15*

this app does everything I wanted it do which is tell me my heart rate. I don’t get into all the other fancy Google technical jargon. I just want my heart rate. Is that a crime I think not! bravo to HeartCast for putting out an excellent product!

**Developer response:** No crimes detected! Thank you so much Johnanthony618!

### 5/5 — Great app except

*2026-04-19*

Fantastic app. Live activities seems to work sometimes during locked screen. It’s working fine for airpulse so must be a bug?

**Developer response:** Thank you so much! Please send us an email if you’re having any issues with the live activity. Happy to discuss: contact@heartcast.app

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2026-03-15, version 3.3.0*

I use this to capture heart rate with the Zwift indoor cycling app. It works really well. Just click the start button on the iPhone app and it automatically starts up the app on your watch. And now (through the phone) your watch is a standard Bluetooth heart rate monitor. Works reliably and easily. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Thanks

*2026-02-21, version 3.2.3*

What a nice app and for free, big thanks for your support, development and this app.

Im using the app to send heart rathe to mywhoosh which runs on a second apple device (ipad or appletv).
Problem, if i start a training work out parallel on my whatch, the communication of my hearts rate will be 0, no values any more

### 5/5 — Funktioniert perfekt für Zwift

*2026-02-04, version 3.2.3*

Mit AirPods Pro
