## What is HearTime?

Your workout. Timed by voice.

HearTime is an interval workout timer with spoken cues. Set up your warm-up, exercise, rest and cooldown, then follow each step without repeatedly checking your phone.

Use it for HIIT, Tabata, circuit training, bodyweight workouts at home and stretching—or a few minutes of movement at the office.

Train at your own pace
• Set count-up and countdown timers, preparation time and rests.
• Combine steps into routines with repeating rounds and rests between groups.
• Save your favorite presets and routines, ready to start again next time.

Listen and focus on your workout
• Choose announcement intervals, voices and speech speed, with optional beats.
• Built-in voices play offline after installation.
• Hear spoken cues in the background and control timing with Siri and Shortcuts.
• Check your timer on the Lock Screen with Live Activities.

See what you have practiced
• Review daily sessions in the practice calendar, with weekly and monthly summaries.
• Enable Apple Health recording to save completed workouts or breathing exercises in the Health app.

More ways to practice
• Add a reference video link to a routine. After switching to another app, check progress with the Picture in Picture floating timer.
• Count jumps and squats automatically with compatible AirPods that support head tracking.
• Follow spoken numbers for breathing practice, or add breathing exercises to a multi-step routine.

Basic timing is free. Some advanced features require HearTime Pro, a one-time purchase with no subscription.

No account required. No ads. Your presets, routines, practice records and settings are stored on your device by default. Optional anonymous usage analytics can be turned off in Settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.4.1 — 2026-10-24

Four- and eight-beat cycles

Counting steps now support repeating four- or eight-beat patterns. Choose the number of rounds and the interval between beats, then follow the spoken cues at your own pace.

More flexible routine editing

Change a step’s type while editing and keep its name and background images, with less setup to repeat.

### 2.4.0 — 2026-10-22

Review this item before you start

On the launch page, swipe up or tap the arrow at the bottom to see this item’s calendar, stats, and past sessions—without leaving to the Calendar tab.

Smoother start and finish

Opening a run and reaching the result feels more like turning a cover page. Launch previews and results also support pull-down or edge-swipe to dismiss.

### 2.3.0 — 2026-10-17

Video follow-along with Apple Health

Add a reference video to a routine, tap Start to open it, and keep pace with the Picture in Picture floating timer after you leave HearTime. Finished sessions can be saved to Apple Health. Try the new Picture in Picture follow-along sample to walk through the flow.

Clearer Schedule

The week view comes first, and completed items fold away. Short runs no longer easily check off today’s plan.

More immersive start and run

Immersive backgrounds carry into the launch preview and run screen, and the launch liquid timer tips gently with the device.

Clearer library limits

Free libraries can save 5 items; Pro trial raises that to 10, with clearer guidance when you create your first item.

### 2.2.0 — 2026-10-14

Jump rope and squat counting

Wear compatible AirPods with head tracking to count your movements. Start with the 100-jump or 10-squat example.

7 days of HearTime Pro, free

Try Pro free for 7 days, with no automatic charge when it ends. You can also preview a Pro session for 30 seconds.

### 2.1.1 — 2026-10-08

Refined interface details for a better experience. Updated App Store screenshots.
