Very help to be able to view the defects and compare it to a normal heart or see the repair! Excellence resource!

### 5/5 — AWESOME!

*2014-06-20, version 1.0*

I heard about this app through a friend and love it! I am an echo tech who does combined adults/peds and think this is a wonderful resource to have on hand for a quick reference when doing my congenital patients! I am going to pass this one along. Thank you!

### 5/5 — AMAZING!

*2014-06-14, version 1.0*

Love this app!! It is truly amazing for people to be able to see exactly where and what and how any heart problem can be identified and taken care of!

### 5/5 — Stunning.

*2014-06-12, version 1.0*

This is a beautiful app. Incredible and dynamic models to view and understand pathology.

### 5/5 — Dnp

*2014-06-12, version 1.0*

I just learned about this new app at the 24 annual international adult congenital heart symposium in cincinnati ohio . This will be a great visual teaching for medical providers and patients thanks cincinnati children's hospital for this app I live it.

### 5/5 — Great resource!

*2014-06-12, version 1.0*

This is a great resource!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2014-06-12, version 1.0*

This app is incredible and I love how interactive it is as an educational tool. Very informative and amazing animation

### 5/5 — WOW

*2014-06-12, version 1.0*

Dr. Moore showed me this app at a recent conference and I am BLOWN AWAY by how helpful it is. It is great for showing patients and their families. The team over at Cinci is doing great things!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Images don’t load

*2025-11-25, version 2.0.3*

The whole reason I had this app was for a quick visual reference. Now I can’t see any images in the new version

### 2/5 — Not as great

*2026-03-18, version 2.0.3*

The previous version was so much better and provided more in depth information. The pictures were also better! Can we get the previous version back?

### 2/5 — New update disappointing

*2025-07-09, version 2.0.3*

Would love access to the previous version when you could quickly toggle between defects, repairs, and normal heart images, which allowed for easy, beautiful comparisons and a better understanding of each condition. The most recent update is cumbersome and disappointing. The magic this app once offered to visual learners was lost with the update. Please bring back the previous version - it was such a wonderful resource.

### 3/5 — Don’t love recent update

*2025-03-18, version 2.0.3*

I’ve loved using this app in practice, but recent update has really degraded quality of images and user experience. Would love to revert back to previous version.

### 3/5 — Need more heart defects

*2020-08-08, version 1.4.1*

I feel more heart defects need to be added such as Double inlet left ventricle

### 3/5 — Heart Mom

*2014-06-20, version 1.0*

Great resource for expecting Heart parents. It needs more defect descriptions. My son's defect is very rare and is not listed. Pulmonary Vein Stenosis.

### 4/5 — Love ❤️

*2016-12-03, version 1.3.1*

Overall it is a great app to explain and show your child's defect(s) to everyone. However, I wish that we could choose many different defects and put it in one heart to see the many defects your child might have at once! ❤️💙❤️

### 4/5 — As an adult cardiologist...

*2015-05-13, version 1.1*

This aids my ability to visualize and understand these congenital defects

### 4/5 — Great overview

*2014-06-23, version 1.0*

This is a great overview, but focuses on CHDs. Given Cincinnati Children's status as a center of excellence for pediatric cardiomyopathy, perhaps those issues could be displayed as well?

Furthermore, it would be great to see a 3D model of a transplanted pediatric heart, as that is the end game for many children with heart issues.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2016-12-02, version 1.3.1*

Love this! Although my son's main defect isn't on here (congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries) it is a great concept! I love that you can slice it and go back and forth between the normal heart and the defected heart. Makes it a lot easier to understand. I would love to see CCTGA on there as well :)

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Tricuspid Atresia!!!

*2015-10-14, version 1.3*

Please make a TA/PA heart!

### 5/5 — Excellent resource!

*2015-06-25, version 1.1*

Cincinnati Children's has consistently been ahead of the game providing web-based educational tools. This app continues in that tradition!

As a CVICU RN and pediatric nursing clinical instructor, I have used this app on numerous occasions as a resource to teach patients, families, colleagues, and nursing students about the complexities of CHD.

While not an exhaustive resource, I believe this app to be an indispensable resource and welcomed addition to my educational toolkit. I look forward to continued updates!

### 5/5 — Heartpedia

*2015-03-24, version 1.1*

This app is fantastic!
My daughter was born last year with CHD and this app makes explaining to friends and family so much easier!

### 5/5 — Great teaching app!

*2014-09-13, version 1.0*

Very easy to use. Great for understanding common CHD lesions. Would be even better if more defects were added.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2014-09-01, version 1.0*

Love this app!! Definitely going to share this with other heart moms.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2014-07-18, version 1.0*

I showed this to my son's cardiologist today, and he was blown away! My 9 year old loved looking at the app while his cardiologist explained to him tetralogy of Fallot.

### 5/5 — WOWWIE

*2014-07-08, version 1.0*

THIS APP IS VERY HELPFUL! I WORK ON ADULT PATIENTS AND THIS IS STILL HELPFUL FOR REFERENCES!! WOW. THIS IS AN AWESOME APP . YIPPEE CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT CHINCINNATI DOES NEXT.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2014-07-06, version 1.0*

This would have been so helpful during my daughter's initial diagnosis. The only thing that would make it better is if it included Interrupted Aortic Arch!

### 5/5 — Fantastic app for CHD families

*2014-07-04, version 1.0*

This is an AWSOME app for CHD families to help educate themselves and other families. Thanks!!
