I just started playing this version a week or so ago. I don’t know if the AI opponents are going to get smarter, but they definitely are not as good as other games I played. I played 40 years or so games and I’ve not lost yet. I lose quite often on other computer versions of Hearts. Also it’s fairly easy to shoot the moon. The AI opponents don’t do a good job stopping you. ### 3/5 — Has shoot the moon *2026-08-02, version 2.1.3* It’s OK. Easy way to pass the time. The main problem is the same as all games with bots - they are playing as a team to beat you, not win. They will immediately block any attempt to shoot the moon the player makes, but allow the other bots to easily do so. The bots also will hold the queen for the player as opposed to another bot. So you have to play an entirely different game style- beat three every hand, not just win. It also distributes the cards from the 3 other hands to the ai player position to undermine your hand. You are effectively playing one big hand. Random would be better than this. ### 2/5 — Updated Scoring *2026-01-20, version 2.1.3* I actually really like playing on this app. I haven’t had any problems with it working. However, with the updated scoring where the winner gets 10 points, second place is only 2 points, third is 1 point, and last is minus 3 points, it makes it less enjoyable. If you don’t score in first place, it’s really hard to advance. Please make the scoring more fair. Like 10, 5, 3, and minus 2, seems to be more fair. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Horrible when you get to higher levels *2026-06-26, version 2.1.3* This game was great when started, but is against you when you get up to higher levels. It sticks you with the queen alone or is always passed alone when you have one spade. Like I said when you’re first starting out… great game, but the developer has rigged the fun out of the game at the higher levels. ### 1/5 — Fun but definitely coded against you *2026-06-13, version 2.1.3* Hearts is about random cards but it’s clear, after hundreds of hours playing this game, that it is coded to “stack the deck” against you on certain rounds. Then if you have too many points the game ensures one or more computer players “take a dive” near the end to catch up to your miserable performance it set up for you early on. No strategic decisions can be made because the game ensures the other computer players have the proper cards to ruin you at every turn. Sadly, I keep going back to this game and every time it is obvious that the cards are not random but prearranged and also arranged mid game to suit its difficulty coding. ### 1/5 — Horrible. *2026-06-07, version 2.1.3* Whoever is in charge of RIGGING THE GAMES at Hearts+ needs to learn to be human. Time to delete. 4/19/2026 I received a message from Apple with a link to respond to a MobilityWare developer about my comment. No surprise the link took me to a page promoting their games, nothing to do with interacting with a developer. I’ve uninstalled MobilityWare games and not interested in fixing them. I did recommend to Apple that they review MobilityWares products as they are not up to Apples normal quality standards. ### 1/5 — My emotes aren’t displaying *2026-04-17, version 2.1.3* I love the game; it’s fun and seems to be programmed well. But I can’t see my emotes. I see everyone else’s, but mine show up blank. Is that normal? You are playing three opponents who continually have cards which are statistically impossible. Why bother if it’s impossible to win ii the AI determines you won’t? Some games are predetermined to be either you’re awesome or you’re terrible. App players sometimes lead Queen of Spades when no one would do so, unless outcome is predetermined. ### 1/5 — Find a better version! *2026-01-26, version 2.1.3* This developer has decided in order to make the game more competitive, it would be easier to program the game to cheat the human challenger by seeing which cards he holds and to deal him the worst hands possible. Until the entire champion levels and series was revamped in early January 2026. Was a horrible experience it’s been playing since then. I’ve stuck with playing every day for 12 days now and frankly I’m ready to download and play another hearts game from any other vendor. So disappointing that this particular hearts+ game has been ruined by a supposed “new & improved champion game” scheme that continuously dumps you from winning a series to starting over at the bottom of the next series. Hit repeat over and over.
