Just real voices, shared meaningfully. ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 1.6.6 — 2025-11-30 What’s New in 1.6.6 • Fixed: Uploading a board with 10 longer voice notes no longer times out or crashes the app. • Fixed: Updated board upload rate limits so you can upload multiple boards in a short period without errors. • Fixed: The welcome board now stays unwrapped after you open it the first time. • Added: Changed the main “Board” icon from a house to a list to better match its function. • Added: Audio scrubber for more precise control while listening to voice notes. • Changed: Updated the wrap/unwrap design and flow to feel more modern, playful, and intuitive. • Changed: Introduced a refreshed, lighter coral-inspired visual design across the app. • Added: New “Dark mode / OG design” toggle in Settings for users who prefer the original founder look. ### 1.6.5 — 2025-11-17 • Fixed: False “Device is Full” errors now only appear when actual storage-related keywords are detected • Fixed: Board sharing would silently fail, added per-note error handling, improved logging and upload status tracking • Fixed: Lock screen playback controls caused conflicts with recording, removed for now and will return in a future native Swift build • Fixed: Recordings would stop unexpectedly when locking the screen, app now stays awake, stops cleanly and safely saves the note • Fixed: Playback of a note now stops when leaving an active screen • Fixed: Some recordings showed 0:00 duration, we now fetch duration before stopping to ensure correct timing • Fixed: Rare crash “Recorder does not exist” after screen lock, improved AppState handling, added race condition guards and a triple-source duration fallback • Fixed: Note wrapping and uploading now syncs correctly with the actual upload process ### 1.6.2 — 2025-11-12 This update focuses on polish, stability, and personalisation: • Fixed: Autoplay of next voice note now works properly when the screen is locked • Fixed: Lock screen controls (play/pause) now respond as expected • Fixed: Board persistence after update no longer bricks received, shared or draft boards • New: Added Stats section in Settings: view your total boards received, boards created, listening time, and voice notes played (locally tracked only) • New: Default playback speed setting: choose how fast you like to listen • New: Haptics intensity setting: tune feedback to your taste • New: Ability to export boards: safely store your audio files outside of HYL • New: Listening to received notes experience is now prettier • Improved: ‘Delete Boards From Server’ section now includes a warning: if you reinstall the app later, those boards can no longer be removed from the server ### 1.6.1 — 2025-11-11 Improved draft & creation flow • Board name is now required when creating a new board • Renaming a board afterwards is now possible • Adding a board description later is now supported • Recording overview now clearly shows the board name and description instead of generic placeholders like “Your Voice Notes” and “This is where the magic happens” Other tweaks • The ‘Continue to Wrap’ button is now more prominent and feels more magical and fun to use • The ‘Share to HYL’ flow has been improved to be more consistent with the rest of the UX changes • Imported audio now shows the correct duration • On the ‘Ready To Share’ screen cleaned up the yellow bar and replaced it with a better way of showing the to-be-shared board name. ### 1.6 — 2025-11-11 • Fixed an issue with the recording state, no more stuck sessions. • You can now create multiple draft boards, allowing more flexibility. • Added support for uploading your own audio into boards (not just live recordings). • New feature: ‘Share to HYL’, share voice notes directly from other apps!
