Interesting to play around with and fun for ‘doodling with creative accidents’ but needs a lot more work before it can replace other well established professional tools. It could be useful for some people, also it does have some innovative features that some may like to explore.

This has to be one of the worst UI’s ever. Took me half an hour to figure out where to import an image and couldn’t even import anything. This is giving me a serious headache. The brushes are really interesting and I wish I could use this but it’s actually impossible. The color selection can also be improved on. Please make this a usable app.

There are no more updates; the author of the application hasn't taken care of it for a year. I feel like I bought a product that the author has abandoned. It seems he decided to develop a web version that is nicer to use and more up-to-date, but surprise, it's now a subscription. So I bought something that is no longer updated, and if I want the latest features, I have to pay for a web version? Maybe the author has good reasons, and I don't have all the information, but I still find it sad to abandon the people who thought they would get a more or less regularly updated version after purchasing the application...

This program is really fun and really pushes you to work differently, especially without a lasso moving feature or redo button. It's a good in between of traditional and digital art. However, I keep having a problem where the image seems to get corrupted? It's as if every few minutes creates a new layer on the canvas and occasionally those separate layers move around, distorting your work. It's strange and I can't find a way to fix it, so I just have to redo what I was working on. I'm not sure what causes it either. I would love a patch before my 31 day free trial uses up, but I doubt that'll happen, haha. Great potential, just some very frustrating bugs. UI could be smaller or perhaps collapsible as you kinda have to push the canvas down pretty far on your screen to see it.

I know this app is like really good and artists I admire use it but bro the mobile UI is actually terrible please fix it 😭 you can’t even see the canvas when you have most things activated, just make them smaller please 🙏 

Also it’s hard to understand how to save/ export drawings, I assume it’s more comprehensive on tablet so maybe put some more time into the mobile version? It seems like it’s a beta and maybe should be restricted to only tablet. And if there are ways to make the ui smaller (besides removing them, I have looked in the settings.) please make them easier to find. Thank you. 😇

I love HEAVYPAINT, I do. I use it for all my digital paintings. I truly learned how to color better using it. But PLEASE can the developer stay consistent with the ui/ux. I’m constantly afraid to update because I know literally everything I just got used to using will be changed again. It’s so not intuitive, and is such a pain to use sometimes when all I want to do it paint. Please just pick something and stick to it oh my god it is such a pain to deal with every time.

バグが多すぎ。最新版で過去のキャンバスを開くと単色にブラシが全て虹色になっていて加筆不可能になってたりする。またUIが毎週のように大改変されていて毎回設定項目を一から覚えないといけないのダルすぎる。最初のバージョンのままでよかった。もうアップデート配信しないでくれ。

i genuinely love painting in this app but like. i just used it for the first time today and it crashed three times. the first time i lost progress and learned to save often. the next few times it crashed….i saved frequently but the saves did not actually save…my progress was still gone. i redid it three times, probably five hours of my day gone and i was just trying to redo what i had already done

Im a longtime heavy paint user (i have the paid mobile and desktop version) and oh man the app now crashes alot and im constantly loosing work.

Update as of Jan 3 2023: im now facing an issue where my cavas resize is no longer working and the app crashes when switching to prev drawings.

I really miss being able to draw with heavypaint 🥹

Hello, recently the application is lagging a lot, the screen stop responding every two minute, and it happens only on this app, its not a bluetooth problem either because i reconnect the pen and it still won’t work, i have to wait everytime for the app to start responding again, which is annoying when drawing observation because the color change quickly outside, so please fix this, heavy paint is a great app 🙏🏼

The app is great I love it cause it simple and not too overwhelming especially when your going from traditional to digital. However, there are some bugs. One case was while I was drawing sometimes the canvas would flip upside down and I would not be able to revert back to it original position. 
Another would be the auto saving feature. I was glad there was an auto save feature however I couldn’t be too reliant on it because the app crashes quite a few times like 2-3 times a day. Where you think the autosave feature will save you but that is not a guarantee as I’ve lost progress.

I understand this program was made for desktop and the program itself is still in development… I see great potential in this program. And I hope it will blossom beautifully.

This app is fun but the support is very lacking. I have purchased this app and still have a trail period access only. It feels like a lack of support and do not feel like paying again for the same results. Find it very unfortunate for other people I see in the reviews having the same problem with no solution. Just a waste of money in the end.

Please fix this app. If possible i would love to go back to version v1 or the 2020-21 ui back with the Ui more was barebones. Or give us the Webbypaint UI. Even the Webbypaint Ui is better. Speaking of, it seems like the mobile version has be abandoned for Webby

CURRENTLY don’t pay for this app at all, I’ve already bought the app and have owned it for months but now I open it today to find out I’m back on the 31 day trial? No. Developer you need to fix this now or be at risk of having your apps and account banned from the appl App Store. I dmed you on Twitter and will wait 24 hours before I send my full report to apple with receipts and back my side of the factual information. Thank you. love the app but don’t liked being scammed.

I love this program because you cannot paint the same way you do in photoshop. It really pushes you to work in a completely different way and although it’s a heavy learning curve, it’s really beneficial. If you’re looking for a photoshop replacement this isn’t it, but that’s why it’s so great. It’s so fun to go ham with pure shape, especially challenging myself to not use the brush tools and only stick to the rectangle and line tools. It’s just fun!

I’ve been using this app for a long time and I really love it simplicity and restrictions. For a second I thought it was getting a little too cluttered and like the other apps, but the recent updates with hardcore mode and other options solve that problem. I’m really glad this app exists and has continued to exist.

It’s kinda cool how different this app is to other drawing apps, it’s a bit difficult to use at first but I got the hang of it. I like that it’s a one time payment for the app unlike others and the brushes that are included are fun to use and very abstract. 10/10 would recommend :).
