I would love to see a spaced repetition algorithm added if possible, but this is otherwise excellent! ### 3/5 — Crashes *2023-09-30, version 1.9.7* App crashes sometimes and the app support function leads to an “oop” screen and says that it is not supposed to happen. But the N and S buttons are not active so all I can hear is how the sound is pronounced. For example, “g” s in girl. There is no instruction that I can find on how to switch on those two buttons. (I was refunded the additional payment I made for sound upgrade). It would be good though if this could be looked at for future purchasers as it would make it even better. ### 2/5 — TURN RINGER TO “ON”!!! *2022-11-10* I paid for the audio pack. It worked fine for a couple of days. Then the audio stopped working. I made sure I had paid for the audio pack, deleted and re-installed the app *and* the audio pack. Nothing worked. Contacting the developer is a joke—this app is not even listed as one of their products, let alone having any support or help. I was ready to give up. BY ACCIDENT, I discovered that if you have the ringer on your phone turned off, the sound will not play. This is true even when the volume on the phone is turned all the way up. IF YOU HAVE THE AUDIO PACK BUT CAN’T HEAR THE AUDIO, MAKE SURE YOUR RINGER IS ON. This simple fix should be *embedded* in the app, as a help suggestion. It’s fairly basic - not a lot of bells and whistles - but it’s a solid app. I memorized the alphabet pretty easily using the app over a few days. The quizzes are good and I’m glad they offer pronunciations. I was charged but the audio pack does not work. I tried to contact support but it is very difficult to know if you’re contacting the correct people. The support link seems to be intentionally attached to something called neversettle.it. I don’t know if that’s a joke or a mission statement. Taking money under false pretenses and then refusing to dialogue with customers will eventually come back to bite them. I couldn’t get the samples to work for some reason so I just said screw if I I’ll buy the audio pack. Still nothing!!! I was super frustrated and wanted to refund my money. I went to the comments to see if other people were having my issue and wouldn’t you know someone did and they had the fix. I keep my phone on silent all the time and never have any issues with anything that is until this app. Thank god I saw the comment. So I’m leaving this one for the next person in case they have the same issue! ### 5/5 — Perfect for those just learning to decode… *2023-08-30* When learning any language, you must first know how to decode it. For those using other alphabets, this can be a real challenge. This app presents the aleph bet in a clear, easy to “see” format. The quizzes are great practice tools. Best of all - the app is free and with no distracting ads to clutter the screen. The only in-app purchase I see is if you want the audio module ($3.99) to hear everything pronounced. Great for learning the Hebrew alphabet. ### 5/5 — A Great Free Resource To Help Learn The Alef Bet *2022-12-20* From the perspective of someone who is attempting to learn a language after a couple of decades of not “going to school” this app has been a blessing. I like that it shows 4 ways each letter is written including the paleo-Hebrew form. That’s a nice plus. I can’t speak for the paid features as I am not financially able to afford that option at this time. I “quiz” myself daily using this app in addition to reading scripture via an inter linear Bible and have also found a great online Bible Hebrew class that I listen to and/or watch. It’s been about 4 months since I began and I am now easily recognizing many Hebrew words and have the confidence that (all praise to The Most High) I will learn to read and understand the language of The Creator.
