Wäre das nicht da wäre die App super. ### 4/5 — Hebrew Bible חי *2022-09-22* I have used this app for years and have loved it. But suddenly a few days ago the Hebrew text and the entire app froze. That was true for the next day as well, so I deleted and reinstalled it (something I have done x3 in the last couple days), and everything came back and worked EXCEPT THE HEBREW TEXT. I can go to a book and verse and all I get is a blank page! Not sure what happened recently but this is useless now ### 5/5 — Superb app for researchers and interested *2017-10-15, version 8.1* When the other app Bubkical Hebrew went because of iOS11 I was at a loss for a few months. I hadn’t realised this was the compatible version. I had archived it into the app cloud. The UX is different but the functions are the same. So glad I have it now. Some hidden features make this a must have for me. I’ve had the original for a few years and only recently found the superb Concordence. Need to learn a slightly different Newbury bit welcome back. ### 5/5 — Hebrew Bible *2017-06-04* This is a fantastic app with wonderful support, also. Thanks, Zev. I have now owned this app for years and I really love it. Beginning with Genesis I have been reading along with the Hebrew native speaker and testing myself from time to time to check my pronunciation before I hear it. What a great way to practice and learn to apply the Shewa rules, etc. At first I kept getting lost as the speaker is fast. But now I am feeling more and more confident. I use this app daily and also use the Buth Hebrew pronunciation in Logos. I want to tell Zev Clementson how grateful I am. Keep up the fantastic work. I also love the Lexicon so that I can get definitions while I am in the program. Direct access to the BDB word reference by touching the Hebrew word. Also great to have access to audio of the Hebrew text. ### 5/5 — Amazing app! *2015-09-24* I love this app! I use it every day, and I have recommended it to hundreds of people. It is great for deeper study, because it gives all of the definitions of each Hebrew word, as well as everywhere else each word is used. This helps you get the full meaning and context of the verse. If you are learning Hebrew, this app is very helpful in building vocabulary. It's also great Hebrew reading practice. It has a Hebrew audio Bible as well, so you can listen along. The one thing I don't like is the English version. I'm not a "thee" and "thou" kinda girl. So I just use it for the Hebrew Bible, and I use a different app for English. I highly recommend this app! It's worth every penny. ### 2/5 — The Bible text doesn't appear in the app :( *2015-04-01* I was so excited about finding this Bible base on the codex it says. Unfortunately the Bible text that shows in the screen shot never appear in the app and the Bible pages are all blank white space with audio playback instead. ### 4/5 — Still worth it! *2015-03-23* This is the best app you could buy for studying and learning the Masoretic Hebrew Scriptures, easily readable and configurable texts, excellent satellite pin map of locations, quick on hand Strongs definitions of and Hebrew word you tap, and even an audio reading per chapter, and customer support is excellent! Only cons; - I have had this app crash twice now and it will not open whether I reinstall it or cache it (which worked last time to cache it from iPhone settings)... Which is really really lame because it's such a great app I use it on a hourly basis... - It changed it layout from a studious old style layout to a kinda lame bubbly iOS layout about a year ago.. - The audio cannot play when the phone is locked like various audio bible apps.. - The audio cannot pause as displayed, and shows a playback error message when tampered with.. - Does not receive updates/crash fixes often ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Eh *2024-10-30, version 8.1* When I attempt to highlight a letter it forces my app to close!!!! Thank you Zev! ### 5/5 — Stopped Working on iOS 14.7.1 *2021-09-11* I agree - this app is the best - for several reasons, most of them mentioned in other apps. I am shocked and dismayed to find that it simply stopped working on my iPad. I will try removing and reinstalling. But I don't think that is going to do it. It does not get an apple message that it needs to be updated, like many apps do. It simply tries to start and bombs out to the home screen. I don't see any other way to communicate with the developer than writing this review. PLEASE have a look at this. ### 5/5 — Love the app! *2021-07-06* I’ve been using this app for a few years now, and have come to depend upon it. I appreciate the clean and simple graphics, and the fact that there are nikudot (vowel points), which is not always the case with Hebrew apps. I especially love that every chapter has a corresponding voice recording—a real live human and not a robotic approximation. And also that I can choose whether or not to display an English translation beside the Hebrew text. The app is easy to use and makes it simple to access the concordance and reference materials. Recently I had issues with accessing the concordance and reference materials, but an email to the developer (one is included in the app information) was answered quickly and the problem was solved by deleting the app and reinstalling (which I had to do twice before it worked). ### 5/5 — Blank page appears *2021-07-05* I tap a word to see its meaning and a sign appears about data errors. I deleted the app and reinstalled and now blank screen. :( I love this app and need it. Please help me. Thanks. ### 5/5 — Favorite Hebrew Bible *2020-10-24* This is my most favored Hebrew Bible. I like the English side-by-side with the Hebrew, the Strong’s and BDB references, the maps and frequently look up root words. I am just starting to use the topics feature. Yes, when I first downloaded the app, the scriptures would not display - a blank page was presented. I left it for a day, or less, and it now displays scripture text correctly. I use the caching option to keep it on my phone. Evidently, it needs to download the text.
