## What is Hedge?

HEDGE is a daily true/false trivia game with a twist: you don't just answer, you bet how sure you are. 50% means "no clue." 99% means "bet the house." The scoring rewards calibration: being right about how much you actually know, not just being right.

EVERY DAY
• 5 questions. About 90 seconds.
• Swipe up or tap the arrows to set your confidence (50/60/70/80/90/99%). Swipe right for True, left for False.
• Once locked in, the answer is permanent. No replays.

GO DEEPER WITH GUT CHECK
Open a Gut Check pack: a longer, category-themed round that tests how well you really know one topic, from movies to science to history. Earn chips just by playing your daily round, then spend them to unlock packs. Your first pack is free. Each pack reads how calibrated you are on its topic, and you can replay it to sharpen your bets and watch yourself improve, question by question.

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
Most trivia rewards luck and the process of elimination. Hedge rewards self-knowledge. Confidently wrong stings way worse than "eh, maybe": the math (it's called Brier scoring) is designed to penalize puffed-up confidence and reward honest uncertainty. Over time, your calibration chart shows whether you systematically trust yourself too much, or not enough.

BADGES WORTH EARNING
Thirty-six badges mark what you are actually getting better at: showing up day after day, betting big and backing it up, admitting when you have no idea, and staying calibrated in each category. Not one of them pays out for luck, so filling the wall and sharpening your calibration turn out to be the same thing. Tap any badge to see exactly what earns it.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
• Which categories you're sharp in (and which you secretly aren't)
• Whether your 90%s actually mean 90%
• How streaks build when you actually pay attention
• Whether you're still holding a groove or quietly drifting out of it

NO NONSENSE
• No accounts, no ads, no in-app purchases. Chips are earned by playing, never bought.
• At home on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. Turn on iCloud sync and your streak, chips, and calibration follow you everywhere. Start the daily round on your Mac, finish it on your phone.
• Everything lives on your devices and in your own private iCloud. We run no servers and can never see your data. Your answers stay yours.
• Six categories: geography, science, history, sports, culture, numbers.

Built for people who'd rather know what they don't know than pretend they do.

### 5/5 — Great game - I like to learn

*2026-06-19*

This is fun! A perfect daily dose of trivia and I feel smart when I know the answer (or guess correctly!), even if it is 50/50.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the great review! I am glad you are enjoying it!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.7.0 — 2026-08-08

Thirty-six badges, and not one of them pays out for luck.

• The badge wall: streaks and rounds played, daily skill, one badge for each category, and a set for Gut Check. Tap any badge to see exactly what earns it.
• Category badges read your last fifty bets in that topic, with a live dot that tells you whether you are still holding the groove right now.
• New badges reveal at the end of your round, and Pulse walks you through the rest, section by section.
• Every badge rewards calibration, so you cannot fill the wall without getting better at knowing what you know.
• Your devices keep each other honest. Play on one and the others catch up on their own, so a reminder never nags you about a round you already finished.
• Small fixes and polish throughout.

No accounts, no ads. Everything stays on your devices and in your own private iCloud.

### 2.4.0 — 2026-07-20

Hedge now follows you across your devices.

• iCloud sync: your answers, streak, chips, and calibration history stay in step on iPhone and iPad, privately through your own iCloud. We never see any of it.

• Sync is on out of the box when you're signed into iCloud. Turn it off any time in Settings.
• Snappier screen transitions on iPad.
• Small fixes and polish throughout.

No accounts, no ads. Your data stays yours, on your devices and in your own iCloud.
