## What is Hedgehog reader?

An app for reading books and organizing a personal library.
The supported formats are FB2, MOBI, EPUB, DOCX, CBZ, CHM, RTF, HTML, MHTML, WebArchive, PDF, MD, TXT, and MP3, M4A, M4B for audiobooks.
Import from local devices, iCloud, and Dropbox, as a single book and as a batch.
An ability to create an internal shelves structure with search and filtering by genre, keywords, languages, series, and ratings.
An ability to translate (even when there is no Internet connection) selected words and phrases to the chosen language, by presetting the list of languages to translate from.
An ability to perform a full-text search throughout the entire library and the notes added to books.
An ability to quickly correct typos in a book.
Reading the text aloud (even when there is no Internet connection) with different variants of speed and operating from the music control. 
Bookmarks and notes with the ability to upload the latter as a file.
An ability to directly download books from servers that support OPDS.

Отличная читалка, удобно, что можно распределить по разделам все книги, легко увеличивать и уменьшать яркость, страницы перелистываются по стандартной схеме, без всяких новшеств с двумя притопами и тремя прихлопами. Также огромное спасибо за отсутствие всплывающей каждые 2 минуты рекламы!

Мы работаем над тем, чтоб приложением было максимально удобно пользоваться, а "блокирующая реклама" это ровно то, что: во-первых бесит, а во-вторых мешает использовать приложение. Поэтому можете быть спокойны и уверены в том, что ничего такого, что будет осложнять работу пользователям, в приложении не появится _НИКОГДА_.

**Developer response:** Большое спасибо вам за теплые слова. Хотя тут большая доля относится скорее к компании Эппл с их отличным text-to-speech движком. Но вы совершенно правы, приложение изначально проектировалось для оффлайн работы. А до версии 2 вообще не имело модулей для работы в сети. Вот такой интересный факт. Поэтому смело скачивайте себе контент в дорогу, чтоб потом вообще не думать про доступ к сети. :)

Очень странная политика конфиденциальности ! Прочитала и сразу удалила программу , так как ей можно всё - читалка не только будет сказки вам на ночь читать , но и считывать и передавать третьим лицам всё что на вашем устройстве

**Developer response:** Спасибо вам за традиционный отзыв из России. На самом деле единственное, что делает приложение (и то в бесплатной версии), так это передает идентификатор устройства/приложения, чтоб можно было более точно подбирать рекламу. Причем про это еще и сообщается при старте и от этого можно отказаться, кстати. Ровно то же самое делает любое другое приложение, которое так или иначе работает с рекламными интеграциями. Для статистики собирается приблизительная геолокация (с точностью до города). И это, по сути, все. Если это все, что есть на вашем устройстве, то да, приложение отдает "все что на вашем устройстве". В целом, ваше сообщение соответствует действительности ровно в той же мере, что и программы одного ТВ канала. Но все равно спасибо, что потратили время и написали отзыв.

Не понимаю как включить книгу чтоб было аудио?

**Developer response:** Здравствуйте, Юлия! Спасибо за использование нашего приложения.
Что касается чтения, то проверьте пожалуйста следующие пункты:
- в настройках программы, в секции «Чтение вслух» НЕ ДОЛЖНА БЫТЬ включена опция «Убрать возможность чтения вслух»
- у книги которую вы пытаетесь читать, должен быть проставлен язык (как русский, если она русском языке)
ИЛИ ЖЕ
- В той же самой секции «Чтение вслух» опция «чтец, если не указан в книге» должна иметь значение «русский (Россия) Милена» (если книга на русском языке, или другой, соответствующий языку книги, если она не на русском)
Ну и дополнительно имеет смысл проверить, что громкость вашего устройства не уменьшена до нуля ))

Проверив все это, в самой книге чтение вслух нужно запустить, выбрав пункт меню вверху справа «книжка в наушниках» и в появившемся меню выбрать третий пункт «Читать текст».

text translation is already present in the app.
However, for ‘Translate’ option to be shown in text context menu the languages ‘To’ and ‘From’ should be downloaded. To do this go, please, to the app’s setting and under the section ‘Text’ tap ‘Text translation’. The next screen will allow you to choose and set the language to which the translation should be made and a list of languages from which you’d like to translate.

Обожаю. Пользуюсь уже ооочень давно. Господи спасибо за озвучку, я так ценю это приложение за это. Причём она звучит возможно не идеально, но воспринимается просто идеально, конкретно мной хаха. Ну серьезно, я всегда выбираю слушать ее чем яндексную выебоновскую Алису (она люто бесит, все книги ее голосом воспринимаются как сказка на ночь для дауна, у неё такой тон как будто она познала бесконечно вечное, накурившись травы и пошла убивать... короче буээ) ну а эта озвучка читает... трезво...нейтрально. Как бы это сказать, она роботизированная, не вызывает эмоций, а просто выполняет свою задачу, то есть презентует содержание книги. Это и нужно от озвучки.  Причём кроме Алисы меня бесят многие голоса. Не знаю где и как разработчики нашли этот голос (нигде раньше не слышала) но у меня просьба... найдите ещё !!! Такой же хороший, НО МУЖСКОЙ Я УМОЛЯЯЯЯЯЮЮЮЮ. тогда вообще кайф будет. Мужской голос не режет по ушам из-за тональности, это все таки мешает в женском, хоть он и хорош. В ОБЩЕМ. Я очень давно жду обновления с мужским , а его все нет и нет(((((

**Developer response:** Огромное вам спасибо за столь лестный отзыв. Но, увы, он не по адресу. :) Голоса предоставляет встроенный движок TTS (Text-to-speech) от компании Эппл. В планах есть поискать и подключить что-то альтернативное потому как и даже к Эпплу есть нарекания по работе этого самого TTS. Следите за анонсами. :)
