Your only allowed to post news from liberal outlets. So much for free speech.

Some type of RSS feed meets Reddit platform. With a viewer account you can only look at things and add emoji reactions. A post directs me to the official website where its stated new accounts will be automatically elevated to member (bypassing the need for an invite). But I’m still a viewer. The advertised discussion is non-existent. The few comments there are are just one liners like “glad to hear it” or “that figures”. To be a contributor you have to pay $5.99 a month. Which is pointless, because you have to be a member to post. So not worth it for what is really just a glorified rss feed aggregator. Which I can do for free on my own. I can even use other social platforms for free with full access, and voluntarily support for less. All without the excessive gatekeeping. Account deleted, app uninstalled. I’m better off using Flipboard or something.

**Developer response:** We hope you'll give us another chance in the future.  We do have syndicated news content, as well as manually curated news stories, and we are constantly working to improve the experience and the new sources that we provide people using Hedgehog.  Shortly before your review we did modify our platform to apply "member" status to all new accounts, and we upgraded all "viewer" accounts to members in batches - yours must've been scheduled for upgrade in a later batch, our apologies.  We've also since modified our platform to allow people with the "member" role to post.  We'd love for you to give Hedgehog another chance.  As a new app on the market, we are continuously working to create a meaningful experience for people.

I’m loving the new application you can tell they worked hard on it. There are great perks to being a contributor and I can’t wait to see what this app can do this year!

Excellent app for premium discussion and great news curation. Viewers can signup and read/react to the news. If you want to upgrade and unlock social media features, you can and it’s a great experience!
