## What is Heed?

Heed is the iOS app blocker where opening Instagram costs you a spoken verse, not a tap. Pick the apps that eat your day, and Heed pauses them behind a short declaration — read a verse aloud, and the app opens for fifteen minutes. It's built on the idea that willpower isn't the problem; the one-tap distance between thumb and app is. Speaking closes that distance. Track a streak solo, or pair up with a Companion pact and build one together. Every word you speak stays on your phone — there's no server that ever hears you.

HOW IT WORKS

You pick which apps to lock. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube — whichever ones eat your day. When you try to open one, your phone pauses. A verse appears on screen. You hold the button and speak it aloud. Once the words are out of your mouth, the app opens for fifteen minutes.

That's it. Speaking is the new tapping.
