## What is Heels Down Fitness?

Heels Down Fitness is an equestrian fitness and lifestyle program here to help you get fit- sweat- kick goals- learn life hacks from both the fitness and equestrian world combined- and of course love life!

No equipment is needed for our programs just you and the HDF app THAT’S IT!!
We strive to help you achieve your full potential as a rider! To better understand your muscles out of the saddle for a better connection with your horse when you are back in the saddle.

HDF is ready to help you along your journey with your four legged friend. Whether you are an equestrian athlete, a beginner rider, a gym junkie or just trying to avoid burpees at the gym, we're here for all ages and all disciplines (including non-horsey people) who want to achieve their ideal fitness, live a happier balanced lifestyle and achieve your goals along the way.

Heels Down Fitness app includes:

FIT TO RIDE

12 week circuit
This 12 week circuit is broken into 3 x 24 minute workouts a week; Upper body, Lower body and full body.
FTR develops the fundamentals of ‘off the horse’ strength and conditioning training using only your own body weight so you can engage and understand each of your body's’ movements before you sit back in the saddle again.
There are a variety of factors which contribute to performance: Core, Balance, Strength, Flexibility, Injury management and prevention and more.
FTR teaches anyone (Equestrian or not) to move functionally through a great range of movements with kinesthetic awareness…and the best part you only need your body- No equipment required!

CHALLENGES

10 Extra challenges to add to your workout
Whether you need an extra burn to challenge yourself, or to set up a challenge with friends and KICK SOME BUTT!
These single challenge workouts focus on specific body sections, with a few full body killer workouts thrown into the mix…oh and did we mention some Pilates challenges!
No equipment needed- use your body weight to challenge your mind and body to a new level. These challenges are designed to work every major muscle group in your body. Our goal is to get you stronger, fitter, and healthier—without getting bored.

FLEX AND ACTIVE RECOVERY

Mixture of Stretches and Pilates
Stretching and lengthening muscles after conditioning them is key to a healthy recovery. Mixing Pilates, Yoga and focused stretching we can get those tight muscles bendy and
flexy-er than a piece of cooked pasta.
Your off-horse Heels Down Fitness program will keep your body from losing conditioning and give yourself the best chance of reducing the time you lose from niggles and injuries.
Learning to use active recovery and light exercise to recover after physical exertion assists with the removal of lactic acid and soreness from our used muscles. Flexibility and stretching also encourages recovery in readiness for your next workout.

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2026-01-08, version 1.2*

Free trial workout was great. Got the paid version and now the time doesn’t keep, none of the example videos load and it won’t let me progress past the first workout. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy this

*2025-09-10, version 1.2*

I downloaded and purchased 2 of the courses. I am unable to use the app as nothing loads. I reached out to the support line and it was undeliverable. This is a scam.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2025-07-02, version 1.2*

I so looked forward to using this app. I bought the Fit to Ride 12 week work out which looks amazing. However, no matter what I do I can’t get the app to show the videos or move through the workout. You can only manually swipe through the first rep and that’s it. I have been unable to reach anyone at Heels Down Fitness after sending several messages. I would love to use this app and get to do the workouts.

### 1/5 — Terrible does not work

*2022-09-15, version 1.2*

App started in one workout jumps back and forth then sends you to beginning halfway through. Do not recommend

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2022-04-26, version 1.2*

I really enjoy the app, but it can be a bit confusing at first. Besides that it’s really helped build my strength (since before I would literally crumble under the weight of the saddle, I hate you western saddle weight >:(

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2021-01-11, version 1.1*

This app rocks! The workouts look deceptively calm until you realize how many sets you have to do🤣 I am confident it will help me in both my riding and in daily life.

### 1/5 — Too Expensive

*2020-08-03, version 1.1*

I gave this app 1 star because it is way too expensive to do a workout. No thank you, sorry.

### 3/5 — So I got this, thinking it was completely free...

*2020-07-24, version 1.1*

When I got this, I got it because it was very eye catching and pretty, it was free, and I could do a workout program. I made an account, and they didn’t let me do any free trials for anything. Now if everything was a little easier to access demo-versions, I might love the app. But otherwise until then, I wouldn’t suggest this app unless you want to pay $50+ for all the packages for a workout program. I wanted this since it was free, and I am a 13 y/o looking for something easygoing for me to workout with.

### 5/5 — Love this!

*2020-07-18, version 1.1*

I love this app! It has motivated me to get fit and I have seen improvement in my confidence helping my horse and I move forward in our training!

### 5/5 — No excuse workout program !

*2020-06-12, version 1.0*

Highly recommend this app! Fun, engaging workouts that push you hard, and allow for you to still participate when injured or time short. Definitely worth a download, whether you are an equestrian or just someone who likes to take care of themselves !
