To be fair, the Data section of DAP notes is still often way too long, but by and large, this is still a wonderful tool! **Developer response:** Hi, thanks for sticking with Heidi all these months. It means a lot and a quick update for you. The fix is now live. Our latest update is out and should reach you soon if it hasn't already. Once you're on it, the locked-screen-airplane-mode scenario you described should drain a tiny fraction of what it was, and your phone shouldn't be running uncomfortably hot during recordings anymore. Syd from Heidi ### 3/5 — Not great *2026-07-13* Not sure how this is getting a 4.7 star rating. It routinely drops transcriptions. I recently just had to redo two entire transcriptions because it will not restart after a pause in the transcription. It shows that it is working, but it is not. This has been an ongoing issue for about a year and sometimes it is better and sometimes it gets worse. **Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for taking the time to share this - we're really sorry. Having to redo two entire transcriptions because the app looked like it was working when it wasn't should never happen, and we know how much of your time it wasted. Despite many months of complaints, no fix has been developed. For such a high price product, I would expect better. Will be finding a different service ### 3/5 — Updates are tricky *2026-07-07* With the most recent update, whole conversations and treatment plans are just ignored altogether! I am skeptical about updating this app, as that is when problems show up after updates. Also, it now takes forever for the notes to actually be ready. I use it everyday and can’t picture my day without. The remote made things even easier to keep track of my clinical notes. My biggest gripe is that it keeps asking me to rate the damn app multiple times everyday. Look, I am just an annual clinician account holder but this is getting to the point of feel like spam. Please adjust!!! ### 4/5 — Battery *2026-06-11* App is still eating the battery quickly and heating up my phone. I received a message stating you looked into this and found the issue and solved it with an update. It seemed to work initially where I noticed in the morning the battery use wasn't high but in the afternoon it eats the battery very quickly, up to +10% in 15 min. **Developer response:** Hi, sorry about the battery drain since the last update, and thanks for letting us know. We tracked it down to a bug in a third-party component in 3.4.3, and it's fixed in our latest 3.5.0 update, which is live now — updating should sort it out. Now it’s so unreliable I hesitate to use it as I can’t be certain the app won’t stop working midway through, or that the conversation gets transcribed. The technician said it was because of emails going into my inbox and that’s why it stopped recording and then blamed that my phone locked. These things have never been an issue before. It didn’t tell me whilst it was ‘recording’ that it had stopped. If it had I would have resumed and checked it out. I am out of pocket and have to explain to the patient I have no recorded notes!! I’m happy that it doesn’t store audio recordings for confidentiality and data safety reasons and before I purchased it, I was reassured by the facts that Heidi Health is compliant with the NHS Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC).
