It doesn't measure anything. I tried, while seated, to measure a space heater. It registered as 24' tall. It can't possibly use the camera, as it never asks for permission as any other app would. But you are just pointing the phone in some vague direction without any real help in the aiming, resulting in wildly in accurate estimates.
