## What is Heliopoly?

Heliopoly — Orbital Economics

The solar system is open for enterprise. Name your rocket, pick methane or hydrogen, and compete against AI-flown ships for claims, fuel depots, and cash on the Automated Interplanetary Asset Ledger (AIL), settled in Angzarr (⍼).

There is no round clock. Outlast your opponents — stay solvent and flying while rivals go bankrupt, get stranded, or abandon the charter.

THE MAINLINE
Fly a one-way orbital circuit: Earth → Venus → Mercury → Mars system → asteroid belt → Jupiter → Saturn → home to Earth. Buy planets and moons; own a full system and rent doubles. Hub stations act as trade nodes and tollbooths — the more hubs you control, the higher the hub rent.

FUEL & PROPELLANT
Landing is free. Leaving a gravity well costs propellant. Shave spaces off your roll with a break burn to land short. Choose methane (stable tanks, methane-sea strikes) or hydrogen (cheaper leave burns, ice strikes, leak risk on landing). Build fuel depots on bodies you own.

RIVALRY & DIVERSIONS
Park too often and claims can go feral. Meet another rocket on a blank transit lane and fight a Gravity Duel: secret High/Low stances, 2d6, winner takes the edge. Mid-charter alerts break up the expedition — discovery, fortune, and the occasional disaster.

Between burns, open Lab for short drills and minigames — literacy challenges, Gravity Duel practice, and other side activities — so there’s always something to do while you travel the solar system.

ON iPHONE & iPAD
Orbital board, charter standings, pilot controls, and the full Helios Ops Manual (rules, glossary, rival-rocket civilopedia, planetoid pages). Play offline after download. Choose AI difficulty from Easy to Expert and see an estimated charter length before you launch.
