## What is Helix Field Dispatch?

Helix Field Dispatch is the technician app for companies that run on Helix Field, the field service platform from BAW International. The office schedules the work on the web; the crew runs the day from this app.

YOUR DAY, IN ORDER
See today's stops in the order the office set, with the address, the customer's notes, the gate code, and what the job needs. Open the map for any stop. Get a notification when the office assigns you a job or changes the day, and accept or decline a job when your company allows it.

EVERY STEP, RECORDED
Clock in and out from the truck. Work through the checklist your company set for each service, attach before and after photos, and hand the phone over for the customer's signature before you pull away.

TELL THE CUSTOMER YOU ARE ON THE WAY
One tap opens a text message to the customer from your own phone, with the arrival window filled in.

GET PAID BEFORE YOU LEAVE
Send the customer a pay link they open on their own phone, or record cash or a check against the job. The invoice is marked paid in the office at the same moment.

HOURS, MILEAGE, EXPENSES
See your own hours for the pay period, enter odometer readings when the app asks, and photograph receipts so the office has them the same day.

PARTS ON THE TRUCK
Scan a barcode to find a part and see what is on the truck.

WORKS WHERE THE SIGNAL DOES NOT
What you record with no signal is kept on the phone and sent when the signal comes back.

WHERE THE CREW IS, ONLY IF YOUR COMPANY TURNS IT ON
If your company switches the crew map on, the app sends where you are every few minutes while you are clocked in and the app is open, and tells you on screen the whole time. Nothing is sent off the clock, and nothing runs in the background.

FOR HELIX FIELD COMPANIES
You need an account from your employer to sign in: the company code, your email, and the password the office gave you. There is nothing to buy in the app. Companies subscribe on the web at helixfielddispatch.com.

### 5/5 — Easy to use and great for field crew

*2026-09-18*

I use helix field dispatch for my business, and it has been very easy to use. What I like most is how simple it is for our techs out in the field. It makes it easy for the team to stay organized and keep up with their jobs without making things complicated.

## Frequently asked questions about Helix Field Dispatch

### How does Helix Field Dispatch handle jobs when there is no signal?

Helix Field Dispatch is designed to work where the signal does not. Any data recorded without a signal is kept on the phone and automatically sent to the office once a connection is re-established.

### Can I use Helix Field Dispatch without an account?

No, you need an account from your employer to sign in. This requires a company code, your email, and a password provided by your office. The app itself is free to use for employees of subscribing companies.

### How does Helix Field Dispatch help with customer communication?

With a single tap, you can open a text message to the customer directly from your phone. The app can pre-fill the arrival window, allowing you to easily inform them when you are on your way.

### What payment methods can Helix Field Dispatch process?

The app allows you to send a pay link to the customer, which they can open on their own phone. You can also record cash or check payments against the job, and the invoice is marked as paid in the office immediately.

### Does Helix Field Dispatch track employee location?

Location tracking is optional and only active if your company enables the crew map feature. If enabled, the app sends your location every few minutes while clocked in and open, but stops when you are off the clock or the app is closed.

### What kind of business information can technicians record?

Technicians can record hours, mileage by entering odometer readings, and expenses by photographing receipts. This information is sent to the office the same day for record-keeping.

You can scan a barcode to quickly find a part and check its availability on the truck. This helps technicians know what parts are on hand before starting a job.

### Is Helix Field Dispatch available on all devices?

Based on the provided data, Helix Field Dispatch is supported on iPhones and iPods. Further compatibility details may be available from your employer or the developer.
