It’s so cute and i’ve always adored Sanrio, but i’m a little upset about the most recent update. A few things were changed, such as decorating, having to make the food and drag it to the seated customers, having to drag customers to bathroom, and a music machine that would temporarily calm down the customers. I really liked the old version and i’m also disappointed because it takes away some of the nostalgia. I also miss the old music, it was so cute and now it plays a different soundtrack. I would love it if the creators brought back some of the old features, this game means a lot to me. -Melody ### 3/5 — One complaint *2023-03-31* I love the game and I’ve been playing it for at least a year or longer. I only have one complaint. After so long, you have to use the tokens to start upgrading or buying characters or tables. It takes a significantly long time to earn these heart tokens and the characters cost hundreds of tokens. Since you have to use tokens to buy things, your coins pile up after so long. I have almost 400,000 coins that I have nothing to do with and they’ll just continue to build. I think there should be a feature where you can buy tokens with the coins that you have saved up. Maybe 20,000 for 10 tokens or so. It’s very bothering to have so many coins that I literally can’t use and so little tokens that I absolutely have to use. And saving up the tokens takes so much time that when you finally reach your goal you don’t even want to spend them because you know how long it’ll take to reach that again. It’s bothersome and it definitely can be fixed by trading coins for tokens. ### 4/5 — Love ❤️ *2022-10-23, version 1.7.2* I’ve had this game for about a day and i am totally obsessed with it 😍 the game stops working after you complete a couple of days but if you just turn on airplane mode on your device it will start working! People are saying its another “Pay to play” game but i haven’t spent any money on this game at all, you have a wheel you can spin that you can get money from every in game day and lots more! ### 4/5 — Difficult, and breaks at level 88 *2022-05-14, version 1.7.2* The game itself is ungodly difficult, and about the only way to somewhat beat it is camp out on the daily rewards and save up for the next character, which takes approximately months of work for one small game.(yes I have an outside life, I’m not that pathetic…maybe) and, just after purchasing another character and making the game easier, the game decided to break on level 88. When I click off of the “End of Round” screen, everything is frozen in place. I can’t touch the pause button, no other buttons are showing up, etc. Fortunately the curse that is this game upon my life has been lifted. If you really want to try and beat this game, go ahead man, nobody’s stopping you. Just know that it’s a very time consuming task. ### 3/5 — Good game but there’s an issue *2022-04-29, version 1.7.2* So I downloaded this game and it’s pretty fun so far but I was only able to make it to round 1 after that it froze. I tried closing and reopening the game and it didn’t work, so I deleted the app and downloaded it again. It restarted me to round 1 which I did it again and it just froze after again. I’m not sure exactly why but I think there’s a bug in the game because it keeps freezing so that definitely needs to be fixed. ### 3/5 — Game freezes *2022-01-02, version 1.7.2* I used to play this when I was younger (which is where 3/5 of these stars are from), I have fond memories. I tried playing it again today and I could only get through one day. Everytime I try to play, it immediately freezes and I can’t do anything. The music stops and the sound affects don’t play when I touch anything. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times. I am running it on an IPhone SE (first gen), is it possible that the IOS or phone could be part of the problem? Overall, lovely game (as I can recall from my time playing it beforehand), it’s cute and fun! ### 3/5 — Would give 5 stars but game won’t work lately *2021-12-29, version 1.7.2* I used to love this game and recently downloaded it again and have been enjoying it for the past few months up until about a week ago when it froze up and hasn’t allowed me to play at all since. I’ve tried closing out and refreshing it with no luck. For the past ten days or so all I get it the stuff it usually shows you after finishing a round of the game with absolutley no option to start another round or upgrade the characters or anything. I would love if this was fixed so I could play again because so far I’ve had no luck getting the game started again. :( ### 4/5 — Hard *2021-11-29, version 1.7.2* I know, I haven’t been playing for too long, about a week, and I’ve realized so far that it’s really hard to earn the currency. Within every round, it seems like I only get two of the hearts every time, I don’t know how anyone could get to 1000. Now let’s looks at the good parts, it’s challenging sometimes! And the aesthetic is just chefs kiss, So kawaii. We all needed that this year, I love how cute the furniture is. We all love kero. ### 3/5 — theirs a problem *2021-07-22, version 1.7.2* i downloaded the game and i finished my first day in the game and got the report that i did good for the first day i waited like an hour for a customer to walk in the cafe and nothing happened so can the developer of the game to fix this problem or is there a way to fix this in the game cause my screen is frozen only in my game . also i already tried closing it and then opening it and the same thing happens , the only thing that seems to work is the introduction of the game and when it’s loading, when i press “start” my then my screen froze. (it’s like a cycle that never ends) PLEASE FIX THIS ### 3/5 — smh *2021-07-02, version 1.7.2* I liked the old version of this game, where you sit then down, then you prepared there food and brought it out to them, and then you would drag them to the bathroom, and you could decorate you place how you wanted! I remember when the entire game wasn't made to make you have to pay money. I remember when the game was acctuly fun and peaceful. I remember when I was a kid. Because apparently with all these updates, all you have done is down graded the game into something that is barely worth playing with out paying. You have made this a demo wich you must go back in time to play the full version. You have disappointed me, and everyone else who remembers playing this game as a young kid. But, my only issue is that you have to grind so much just to unlock the cheapest character, or any character at all. I have been grinding for the past month, and I still can’t buy Lala! Overall, great app, but maybe making the characters a little cheaper would be very helpful and make this app even more enjoyable. ### 4/5 — Love the game, there’s a bug though. *2020-11-22, version 1.7.2* I love this game! It’s very cute and I love to grind, and this game actually rewards you for grinding. However, I’m at stage 7 and every other game or so a very fast tall cat comes in and all the patrons leave. This is fine because I’m assuming that’s what’s supposed to happen as he usually pays 1000+ coins. Except, he usually makes one of my server characters glitch and never stop serving a table, even when a customer is not there. When a customer is there, however, this makes the game not end and I have to save and quit. If he happens to be the character the server glitches on, no other patrons enter the building and he never leaves. It hasn’t effected me too bad, as again I just have to save and quit. But it is annoying. Otherwise great game! ### 3/5 — the bug *2020-10-24, version 1.7.2* I downloaded this game last year and I absolutely loved playing it. But up until a couple months ago, my game froze and was stuck on the last round. I thought it was maybe a problem on my end, so I decided to delete the app and reinstall it. I lost my progress (I was on day 678 and I maxed out half the characters,, I was an addict,,) and the bug was still there, not letting me go past the end of round 1. Reading the other reviews, I realize I am not the only one with this problem. I also sent an email but I got no response. I’m not sure if the bug will be fixed or this game will be updated at all, since the last update was 3 years ago, but quite a lot of people still play this game and it would be greatly appreciated if something could be done! Like literally after day 1 (which is 2.5 mins) my game just froze i thought it was a small glitch into i saw the other reviews saying the same thing that happened. Like right after you get your report of day 1 it just freezes, so i just kept refreshing the game and looking at the resources given in the game and it has no solution. I also saw some reviews saying it was pay to win. I know this is the older version so it not may be perfect but still! The game was unplayable. I would like to download the HB ver/newer one but my software update isnt correct (its also at it’s max). So either fix this bug or make the HB ver downloadable for older devices! Obviously i deleted this app already but idk if its gonna work tmr or later! ### 1/5 — Game freezes!! *2022-12-30, version 1.7.2* Game freezes after first level! Tried force closing the app many times, still frozen! Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, replay first level, and then happens again!! My guess is the developers don’t ever do anything for this game, hence why I see this game hasn’t been updated in 5 years! I tried closing the app and opening it up again and the results page from day one pops up again, but it goes back to an empty room with the duck in a T pose with no way to level up or advance to the next day, stuck in limbo. From the looks of other recent reviews, it seems I’m not the only one so it’s definitely some kind of bug. Seeing as the game hasn’t been updated in five years and the technical report button takes you to a site that no longer exists, it might be best if Apple takes the app down from the App Store. ### 1/5 — Goodbye hello kitty cafe :( *2022-08-10, version 1.7.2* I’ve been playing this game since I was literally 7 years old. I had so much kibble saved up and I had made so much progress. I used to play this game religiously and it was by far my favorite app on my phone. But then some stupid glitch happened a couple months ago and my screen kept freezing on my previous round. I was infuriated because I could play the game anymore. The only option was to delete the app and reinstall it and hope that it would make things normal again. Boy was I wrong. Not only did I lose all my progress, I also had the same issue that I was having before deleting the app. It just kept freezing. I read some other reviews and apparently I’m not the only one with this issue. So disappointed. It’s boring now that I’ve gotten everything I can with coins, and only need things with the heart coin thingies, which r very hard to get. Update:will probably not get a response for this either, but when a game is pay to advance (and it is, despite what they may claim) ya kinda need the getting coins part to, oh idk, work. Deleting game. ### 1/5 — Pay-to-win! *2017-08-03, version 1.7.2* the upgrades are way too expensive to possibly achieve in one level without buying add-ons. It seems a bit unfair to those who can't possibly afford to pay to win. That being said, it improved significantly after the update! It's no longer impossible to keep up with the customers, but you do earn less hearts each level than you used to. Edit: I previously gave this 4 stars, but now I give it 1. At a certain level (level 5, I think) you have to start using hearts in order to upgrade the tables and characters, which is absolutely ridiculous as you only earn 2 hearts each round (it used to be 3!). If you have to pay in hearts, then the characters should be giving you more hearts when you upgrade so it doesn't take 80 years to upgrade ONE (20 rounds per table to be exact, less if you earn hearts spinning the wheel). Please stop trying to make people pay to progress in your game, it's fun and incredibly enjoyable- but at times it's hard to keep up with customers and earn enough to upgrade anything when you can't afford the ridiculous upgrade prices. And there's no point in leveling up because the rewards you get are quite literally nothing compared to what you need to upgrade things. Please fix this, it's my favorite game 😥 ### 2/5 — Please fix this issue! *2022-12-24, version 1.7.2* Hi I was just playing Hello Kitty Cafe, and I am really kinda annoyed that this game that I simply enjoy keeps freezing non-stop. I was playing it this morning on my iPad, I was trying to pass level 1 or round 1 but it kept freezing every time I tried going to the next level or round. So I thought maybe it was just my iPad and decided to delete the app. Then today I decided to redownload the game AGAIN, on my phone to see if my screen would freeze again. So once I passed the level or round the same ISSUE had happened AGAIN. So then I figured that it was time to say something. Please fix this issue! I really enjoy this game! It’s really fun and addicting however I’ve discovered a new bug. I can’t like play the game anymore. When I try to start a new day the screen stays frozen on my characters just standing there and I don’t know what to do :(. It’s such a fun and addicting game but it’s not playable anymore☹️ ### 2/5 — Freezes way to much to enjoy *2022-07-17, version 1.7.2* I loved this game when I was little it popped into my head the other day out of nowhere and I decided to look for it I was so excited when I saw that it was still around and that you could still download it I was even more excited when I downloaded it and the game was actually working that was until you had to switch days the game just freezes it doesn’t even give you the options to shop for new characters or more supplies it just freezes! i’ve had to delete the game five times just to get past day two and when it finally did it froze on day three 😂 ### 2/5 — Unreasonably Difficult *2019-06-24, version 1.7.2* To be completely honest, I really expected this game to be fun, cute, and a little challenging... and don't get me wrong, it IS cute! But as for challenging, it takes that to a whole new level. I found it practically impossible to play the levels without the majority of the customers leaving extremely disappointed, as my character was far to slow to be able to reasonably serve all the customers in time. Its practically impossible! I did try grinding the levels over and over again to be able to have enough money to upgrade my character, thus making it supposedly faster, but it really takes way too long to get currency by playing. Super easy, just turn on airplane mode while you are playing the app! This game is about hello kitty and her friends starting A cafe. You start out with a duck and take orders. After a few levels you can buy new characters, and items, and food. You can also level up your food, chairs, and characters! Sometimes special customers come in that pay more for food. (Small warning, this game does get a bit to hard for younger kids once you pass more levels.) I’d be frozen when you end the round, so the hint is just turn on the airplane mode on your phone whenever you play this game, and the game will be smoothly as it supposed to be. However, this new version not allow us to decorate our cafe like before. We can’t buy different windows, tables, or chairs. There’s no restroom and the music player anymore. When you open it again, it will work! If it freezes during a new day/game, repeat the process. I forgot all about it when I finally got my own phone, (because I used to play it on my grandfathers) but I randomly searched it up today since I haven’t played it in a while and thought they took it off the App Store.
