He helped me with a garbage bin that had overturned during a thunderstorm and placed it back on the tree lawn for pickup😃 ### 1/5 — Recent UI changes *2026-07-26, version 26.30.1* Generally I’ve liked the updates but the recent one is really annoying when I try to filter recipes. On the home page I used to have options next to “ for you” such as premium, wellness, quick and easy”. Now they’re gone as of Aug 03 and I have to scroll through the homepage and search recipe details. This seems both deceptive ( in the case of premium) and annoying. ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-07-26, version 26.30.1* Totally scam If you cancel service, you will never get your money back to your original payment ### 1/5 — Bait and switch scam *2026-07-23, version 26.30.1* They claim to give you discounts but they are not upfront. I was supposed to receive 3 more discounts on my orders. Instead they charged me full price. $77 for 2 meals is absolutely insane. ### 3/5 — Recipe Card FAILS *2026-07-23, version 26.30.1* I have been a loyal customer of HelloFresh for *years* and prior to today might have been able to give full stars. But I just received my latest box and two of the recipe cards are for meals I did not order nor receive. I have previously contacted Customer Support about the importance of getting recipe cards as I do not cook with my phone in the kitchen. I’ve been using hello fresh for 2 months and my box has arrived late multiple times. As a single mother, timely delivery is super important as I don’t have extra money to buy additional dinners. Most importantly is how unhelpful support is. They apologize and offer $10 credit. I’m going to have to spend at least $100 on food for tonight and they’re offering me $10? The SKIP THIS WEEK functionality is so buried I haven’t been able to find it. Purposeful? If I don’t find it soon I’ll cancel service. Didn’t matter because they charged me anyway and robbed me. I hate this company. They reassured me they had my correct address on file and it would not. Second box was then also delivered to the same incorrect address and no compensation was offered - it was like pulling teeth to even get a refund for this. Overall would not recommend. ### 1/5 — Skipping weeks was removed from app *2026-08-11, version 26.33* HelloFresh updated their iOS app to remove the ability for users to “skip” a week. Of course the app still lets you “unskip” a week, but now you have to go to the website to “skip.” Such a scam. I’m cancelling. ### 1/5 — Scammy app *2026-08-04, version 26.31* They enroll you in subscriptions without u even knowing about it ### 1/5 — Inconsistent Delivery *2026-08-04, version 26.31* Service was great until they changed to their delivery provider. Every week my box is either infinitely delayed and arrives days after the scheduled date full of spoiled food. Also used to be able to chat with a human, now it feels like a useless AI. Fix your delivery provider. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money *2026-08-02, version 26.31* I used HelloFresh for years and always loved their boxes and the food they’d send, never had any issues. Recently I did have a problem with a box so reached out to their help team but they wouldn’t help at all. I also tried to file a complaint about the issue but apparently they can’t file a complaint either. Now I’m out the money for the box, apparently won’t be getting my food, and they won’t even let me use the discount they’d offered me. This used to be my favorite meal kit service even though it was a bit on the pricier side, but now I have canceled my subscription and will not be using their other kits; EveryPlate, Green Chef, or Factor. There are other kits owned by companies who still care about their customers so don’t bother giving HelloFresh your business. ### 1/5 — Updating after years of using the product. *2026-07-29, version 26.30.1* Hello fresh is an easy no thought escape from the daily pain of deciding on whats for dinner. Thats where it ends though. With years of experience in hello fresh i can say they only get it right half the time. Wheather its a missing cooking sheet, a burst meat packet, or a literal missing ingredient. Hello fresh is the mcdonalds of “at your door ready to cook dinner” they just cant seem to get it right even after working with costumer service. Hello fresh is a good service if you want to learn some new cooking techiques but that ends after a couple months when you start to realize the silly cooking decisions their chefs make. If your set on a certian meat don rely on them to provide. We had 8 weeks of them subsituting chicken instead of beef or pork. We hate chicken here and we complained multiple times but they dont care. Be prepared to not recieve the meat you pay for. Do not subscribe to hello fresh unless you want exert extra effort on you dinner beyond shopping and prepping ### 1/5 — Great app, terrible customer service *2026-07-28, version 26.30.1* Reactivated my account and changed address at the same time. Well it takes 5 days for the address to change. The worst company ive ever dealt with 2 years ago and even worse now. I was sold again after a door to door representative knocked on my door and said they had been taken over and are better than before. Stupidly i believed it and i was meant to have my first delivery on Monday to which it didnt show up of course. I contacted them and they said it would be there by 9pm by at which point the food would have been in edible as it would have been out the freezer for 48 hours. Then by 9pm of course it said it was undelivered and couldnt track the parcel. I was then offered a refund to my hello fresh account for my next order 🤣 i said i will not use again and this time i mean it. I didn’t realize when the order was supposed to be delivered yet so I didn’t even notice. When I did finally notice, my next box was supposed to be delivered to the wrong house again in 2 days. I told them I realized my first box couldn’t be refunded, that was my fault but could I either change the address in time for the one in 2 days or could the refund me. The first person I spoke to said no due to their policy that you have to make changes in 5 days. I was so so so upset. Because I would be losing 6 meals and $120 and needed that money to buy food. Anyway, I got to talk to the resolution team and they were so kind and refunded it all. I’m literally crying because I couldn’t have afforded to get new groceries if not. I had cancelled my account when they said they couldn’t refund me because I literally couldn’t afford more money taken out right now but since they did this, I will be starting it again. Both the original customer service person and the resolution team were kind and I know they were just doing their job when they said no but I’m so happy they were able to fix it. This courier managed the apparently advanced feat of bringing my HelloFresh box all the way to my apartment door. Please promote him to trainer and have him teach the others. All that time and everything had been packed so carefully. Extra ice. With half of the packs still solid. Thank you all from the packers to the EVri driver that delivered it. I got some kind of birthday promotion through a second party app and gave it a shot. It’s a rough first couple weeks when you don’t know what you like or how to prepare certain foods but then when you figure out your preferences and learn how to use the app, it becomes a lot of fun. I love how much easier it is to measure things out since things are pre portioned, I love that it comes with recipe cards, which I prefer to use, but when you’re missing one or don’t have them with you then you can save all your favorite stuff in the app to take anywhere, which helped a lot when I had to have an emergency surgery and my parents brought some of the bags I ordered to their place. I just cooked my stuff there with my phone. Not to mention when I had to go to the ER, my food was still cold enough to eat and I looked it up and the boxes last up to 48 hours after they’re sent here?? I think that’s so awesome. I love the customer service too, when my box was delivered a block down from my place I spoke to somebody who waited to make sure I found it then gave me $20 in credits for the inconvenience.
