We have completed the ride at 2:04pm but the app has charged us until 2:16pm for 2 bikes. Despite us trying to appeal the cost through different channels, their CS said they will not refund us the extra charge and instead offer us a free ride… this feels like a forced transaction to me. Just watch your bill if you want to try this. ### 2/5 — Absolute Scam. *2026-06-25, version 1.49.0* Never used before. Tried to park in incorrect zone. Bike locked and wouldn’t unlock so I could move it so the only option was to pay a fine. Refused to refund me. We also used Anywheel which allowed the unlock and repark function. Do not recommend ### 1/5 — Next to useless *2025-12-31, version 1.44.0* Sydney bikes are almost all out of power or vandalised/damaged or low on power if bookable. Zero customer service too ### 2/5 — Not Transparent payment information *2025-12-31* HelloRide is convenient, but the pricing is misleading. The app gives the impression that rides cost about S$1 per hour, however when you actually use it, the total comes to almost S$4 per hour. The rate breakdown is not clear enough, and users only realize the true cost after being charged. Please be more transparent with pricing. ### 1/5 — Terrible compared to lime and Ario *2025-11-16* In order to pay a $4 bill you gotta have $14 in your account because they hold $10 hostage. Go to Ario or lime instead, with them you can start for $1 and if you don’t have enough to pay the bill you can pay in a later date. The return location was reporting in the middle of an intersection, so I parked the bike safely under cover as near as I could safely get… and they charged me almost as much as my weekly pass as a fine for “indiscriminate” parking. Complete weak and I chose a 100% charged bike. Speaking to customer service is even worse. They intentionally give misleading responses to make u go away. Very bad image for Chinese developed apps. I’m disappointed ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2025-07-16* The app was very disappointing. Unfortunately, you have to wait up to 24 hours for a response from support. Even when they reply a few hours after your message, they quickly close the chat without waiting for your answer. On top of that, almost all the bikes without helmets are broken — the handlebars or something else is wrong with them. Some bikes can be activated but then can’t be deactivated, and that wastes your paid minutes. ### 3/5 — Sign up 불가능 *2025-07-06* Sign up할 방법이 없습니다. 일단 이메일로 시도해보면, 이메일 주소를 제대로 적었음에도 불구하고 verification code 가 안 와요. 그리고 핸드폰으로 시도해도, 제가 싱가폴 번호를 안 써서 그런지 “Too many request” 에러 메시지가 뜹니다. 저는 그래서 그냥 Anywheel 썼어요. 한국인 분들 참고하세요. ### 1/5 — Don’t use it not trustable *2025-07-05* It charged us not even turn on when i try to end the trip it shows it’s not in the parking zone while I didn’t move it, try to call customer service not answering at all, and end u charged 20$ extra to leave it on that place 😡😡😡 so disappointed. ### 4/5 — Finally a second bike share for Hong Kong *2025-07-01* 1. The quality of the bikes are superb! Particularly the suspension and tire traction. For so many years we at Hong Kong have to contend with old squeaky bikes when the Chinese mainland have upgraded 2 generations 2. I lovvvvve the app. It does what it’s supposed to do, locks and unlocks in seconds, reliable connection no stupid ad, or “confirm to return”, and the bike location is accurate Now the improvements: 1.I wish you have more bikes so I can uninstall locoride for good. Until then please have a reserve bike function. 2. Please support apple pay 3. The parking location detection can be too sensitive. So if you park outside the gate of your estate if might still trigger the alarm. ### 1/5 — Bikes for very short people. Do not use if you’re over 150cm *2025-06-20* When I saw the 180 on the seat post I assumed that was the maximum height of the rider. I’m only 178cm tall so that seemed fine. How wrong I was! One of my boyfriend’s brakes did not work. There are no helmets. The chain was loose on mine. The app however is the worst thing. It does not show you where you can park, and it locks you out of moving the bike (eg locks the bike) so you can’t move it anywhere in an attempt to park it in the right spot, meaning you’re guaranteed to get a relocation fee. Don’t bother with this app. ### 1/5 — Relocation Fee *2026-04-02* Parked at the bicycle parking lot, the QR Code is no way to be find. Take a photo and submit for appeal, charged you extra 5$. Good user will straight away know this is a part of strategies to earn your money and you won’t fall for second time. I can just ignoring it without paying but this will create a chance for them to improve. So as a responsible user, I’m here to remind every user to use this with your own risk!! Relatively cheap and fun, you see so much just looking around riding. 1RM to unlock, 0.35RM per minute of use.
