## What is HelpGoat?

HelpGoat is a points based community help exchange that is based on the idea that everyone has something to offer and everyone could use some help with something. Put your hobbies, talents and skills to good use. Help your friends and neighbors, earn points, and use your points to get help. HelpGoat facilitates a new way to socialize, make connections and strengthen communities.

How it works:

1. Post a HELP OFFER or HELP REQUEST:

Request or offer help with anything from yardwork, child care, pet care or home projects to music lessons, technical help, community clean up projects or business projects. Sometimes companionship and moral support is all someone needs. You control your privacy. Posts can be made public, posted to specific trusted HelpGroups or even to specific people.

2. Review and Accept HelpResponses:

Review the responses you receive in a private way. Work out any details including timing and the amount of points to be exchanged. Accept the responses you feel comfortable with.

3. Give or Receive GoatPoints:

Receive 300 GoatPoints just for signing up with HelpGoat. Earn more GoatPoints by Responding to HelpRequests or accepting responses to your HelpOffers. Once the help has been delivered, securely exchange points. Remember, to keep the system functioning it is important to both give and receive help and give and receive GoatPoints. Think of 1 GoatPoint as approximately 1 USD and value Help accordingly.

About us:

HelpGoat Ltd. Liability Co. is a "mom and pop" (well, "mom" to be exact) tech small business that single handedly built HelpGoat from scratch taking several thousands of hours over a period of three years. We have no investors and would like to keep it that way in order to keep things simple and keep our customers and ourselves our only stakeholders. We do not sell your data. We do not sell ads. Our goal is to provide a secure, private-as-you-want-it-to-be, useful service that enables people to interact with each other in the real world. We want to minimize the amount of time you spend on our app. As such, HelpGoat aims for function over flash. There are no hidden fees. After your trial period, you will be asked to subscribe to HelpGoat for $4.99 a year. Your subscription fee and our efforts are what makes all of this possible.
