The Helpmekaar App allows parents and students to favourite and follow the schools busses. Additional features coming soon!

**Shared bus links now open the right bus**

- Sending someone a bus from the app now opens that exact bus on their phone. Before, the link opened the app and said the bus was no longer available.
- The bus list no longer gets stuck loading after you visit Profile or Notifications. Previously the only way out was to close the app completely and reopen it.
- Shared links now use a shorter helpmekaar.app address. Links you have already sent still work.

**Honest tracking, working share links**

- Sharing a bus now sends a link that opens that exact bus in the app — before, the link just opened the website
- If a bus's tracker hasn't been able to send an update for a while (poor network coverage on the road), its status now shows in orange so you know the info may be outdated — "Updated On" is always when we last heard from the bus
- Notification dates are now easy to read (e.g. "31 Jul 2026")
- The bus list and each bus's own page now read from one live feed, so they always show the same status — and status colours refresh every minute, even when a bus is silent
- Friendlier empty screens: when no buses are on the road (or you haven't picked favourites yet), the app now says so — with one of our pacing kids keeping watch — instead of showing a blank page
- If your phone can't open the sign-in screen (for example when Safari is limited by Screen Time), the app now explains the problem instead of closing unexpectedly
- Sending a password reset email no longer causes a crash
- The app stays steady when your connection drops — going offline no longer closes it, on first install or any time after
- Small fixes and polish throughout

- Fixed rare crashes when Google or Apple sign-in was cancelled or interrupted
- Creating an account on a weak connection now recovers by itself instead of failing
