Where are you? *2026-05-21, version 3.0.48* The app has been out for so many years and yet still fails to have a simple ‘dark mode’ feature available. This review will fall on deaf ears however. Canceled my paid subscription and even though I have three weeks left before it officially cancels, I no longer have access to full listening time on any of the tracks, I just get 2-3 minute previews. ### 3/5 — Frustrating! *2026-03-03* I got this specifically so I can do the Gateway Experience but the app is not user friendly note intuitive. I can’t even search anything in the search bar. It won’t let me type anything. It is advertised there are over 300 different tracks, I certainly do not see that many options. The mixer is really quite neat and I look forward to playing with it more. But as of now, I am super disappointed. If you try to listen to a playlist, it simply stops from one track to another. It’s just so frustrating! I regret so much having subscribed for a whole year. The search box is light gray with white font, you can barely read what you’re typing. There’s no way to filter by language so if you like a particular author you have to navigate through a myriad of titles in other languages until you find one that’s suitable. Titles start playing as you’re browsing because it thinks you clicked on them. It’s astonishing that someone felt this app was ready for public release. I’ve read Monroe’s books and have been working through the Gateway Experience with a plan to attend a residential course at Monroe Institute later this year. This really reflects poorly on the institute, and makes Monroe’s work look like a joke. App is so awful it’s the antithesis of relaxing and helpful. ### 1/5 — This is ridiculous *2026-05-23* I paid over $500 for the Gateway Experience only to discover that unless you bank another $2-300 for a ‘premium subscription’ it’s a three ring circus production to download the content and then get it to play without shutting off every 30 seconds. I’m a big believer in the ideology but I don’t know what I paid so much for when I could have purchased a subscription for less and have access to pretty much the same content; or why they’ve made it nearly impossible to listen to the content you purchased without further financial investment which is substantial. I listen to it every day and I never felt better. I do hope that they make it easier to upgrade to the full full pro version through the Apple Store as I had to contact him directly to get all those features but amazing and I love everything about it. ### 5/5 — Patience Will Be Rewarded *2025-08-08, version 3.0.45* I listen to meditations on this app daily and it has helped my mental health tremendously. Sure, the app is clunky at times, but the meditations are world class and new ones are being added all the time. The audio quality is much better than similar products on YouTube. The app seems to be a work in progress but I am satisfied with it, I’ve got my playlists of my favorite tracks and I enjoy trying new ones when I feel adventurous. Hemi-Sync is putting a lot of positivity into the world at a time where it is desperately needed. I have many meditation apps but this is the only one that allows you the option to create your own mix of sounds and even adjust the volume/intensity of those sounds.
