I red it cover to cover in hard copy and now I can take it with me electronically too. Very clear pictures. I love being able to zoom in on them. Getting older now and even need to zoom in on the text at times. I’ve always loved the app… until the latest update. Even though my issues were downloaded, I now cannot view them offline. I’ve tried restarting my iPad, deleting, reinstalling & redownloading my issues (even flipping through each page) to no avail. Even worse, 2 of my back issues (December 2013, June 2017) have disappeared completely from the archive-there’s an empty spot. I’m a very patient individual & hate to complain, but this is unacceptable!! Come on now, I paid for those issues. I really hope this is resolved, because this will be enough for me to cancel my auto renewal subscription. 😡 Update: Now this app won’t even F🤬ing ope! How worthless can it be?! After waiting 10 mins, it does nothing. Happy to take my money and have loads of magazines and I can’t get In to read them anymore. App asks you to “Restore” purchases. I do that but they don’t restore immediately. Now they don’t at all. Asks for password. Which password? iTunes? Then it asks for Apple password. Still doesn’t restore. Also all issues are locked. I paid for them! Why are they locked? ### 1/5 — Poor Customer Service *2016-04-25, version 4.1.0* Hemmings seems to be the only major magazine that does not forward subscriptions, and then to obtain missed back issues they charge almost double the newstand rate. Terrible service, especially for collectors trying to keep each and every copy. Even "People" magazine forwards their copies. ### 4/5 — As good as the paper product *2013-10-19, version 3.5.2* Additional I really appreciate the digit download versions of the Hemmings' magazines. Being able to view them (the PDF) on the large screen of my iMac is a real joy. With the app, it's very easy being able to import them through iTunes and allows me to carry around all the digital issues in one multi-functional device. Hopefully, Hemmings will start to offer some unique additional digital materials such as extra photos, perhaps old but still extremely relevant articles from the old SIA magazine and most importantly, the remainder of their special interest automobile magazines beginning with the initial publication issue.
