### 5/5 — All news is local

*2025-01-27, version 3.15.03*

I love the feature that allows me to read the online print versions. I am a bit of a dinosaur that way. And though the Apple News and other platforms have more recent postings, I find yours to need fewer corrections down the line.

### 5/5 — Local news is important always

*2025-01-22, version 3.15.03*

So glad to be able to read about local news and issues that pertain to my community! The reporters write clearly and concisely what we, the public need to know. I have an online subscription and am glad to have it!!!

### 5/5 — Strong local news

*2024-11-20, version 3.15.03*

The Herald is a great local news source. Highly recommend for Snohomish County coverage of legislation, happening and most event.

### 5/5 — Everett Herald

*2024-05-26, version 3.11.03*

Very friendly website. I particularly enjoy the daily political cartoons

### 5/5 — Media

*2024-03-07, version 3.9.05*

Two thumbs up for the Everett Herald and independent press!

### 5/5 — The Herald

*2024-02-21, version 3.9.05*

So much has changed in the world, including the Everett Herald. I am grateful they still provide news to us and keep us updated without sensationalism.

### 5/5 — All great!

*2024-01-29, version 3.9.05*

Highly recommended

### 4/5 — Not bad

*2024-01-28, version 3.9.05*

I still miss an actual physical newspaper, but since mail delivery has been iffy, I went with the app. And this version is okay. Easy to get around, can increase text size as needed.

### 5/5 — Great Reporting

*2024-01-27*

I was reluctant to switch from paper to digital for my news. The switch has been great! Getting the news wherever I am in an easy to use format fas been a pleasure. Contrary to what I had expected, I read more of the paper now. I’m so glad I made the change.

### 5/5 — Like

*2024-01-17, version 3.9.05*

I enjoy getting my news via the paper and my phone. Especially when I’m out of town the phone keeps me up to date on what’s going on at home.
What I don’t like is when I log on and the message is that I’ve run out of whatever and need to subscribe or sign in. I’m already a subscriber and that message drives me crazy. Especially if I’m out of town and my password does’t work.
I’m 83 and can only keep one password in my head at a time! Just keep me connected, please.
Thank you.

### 5/5 — I LOVE the Herald app!

*2024-01-12, version 3.9.05*

so easy to read and navigate.. always look forward what our local reporters are working on.. the Best!

### 5/5 — App works really well!

*2023-12-29, version 3.9.05*

I enjoy using it ! No problems-

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Nobody knows what they’re doing

*2024-11-29, version 3.15.03*

Nobody at the Herald is testing this app. I receive alerts, click on them, and the story isn’t there, even after refreshing.

I have corresponded with their staff. No improvement in performance.

They push their opinion pieces to the top of the feed.

Frankly the worst news app, but the only one in the area so…

### 1/5 — Difficulty!!!

*2024-07-19, version 3.13.08*

I find it very hard to bring the Herald up online. The Seattle Times website pops up instantly, where the Herald makes me click on six different times and then shows me an old edition. Very Frustrating!!!

### 1/5 — App won’t open puzzles

*2024-03-03, version 3.9.05*

I have deleted and reinstalled app many times with password change. I have a current iOS phone.
The puzzles selection disappeared from the live news menu
Under print editions , this menu contains a puzzle selection but when selected nothing ever opens.

To access the puzzles, I have to log in thru safari- the safari app works

What’s up with this app?

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2023-09-15, version 3.8.17*

I paid for a subscription. Now, 2-3 times a day, I get notifications of news stories. I ONLY GET TO READ 1 A DAY. If I want to read the rest of the news stories they tell me about, it’s another $11 a month. Absolute trash. To cancel a subscription, you have to call a number, press several buttons to get through a robot, and then tell them all sorts of information that they shouldn’t need.

### 2/5 — Format

*2025-05-19, version 3.15.03*

Works terrible on my iPhone

### 3/5 — Herald App

*2026-02-09, version 3.15.03*

I do like subscribing to local news and having it read to me on the app. I do wish that the app would let me go into other apps while it is reading, though.

### 3/5 — Twitter bug

*2023-01-28, version 3.6.21*

Having the ability to at least try to see the news the right day, with impaired vision is better than nothing!

### 4/5 — Good digital version off main Herald news.

*2025-01-30, version 3.15.03*

I can’t figure out how to subscribe to the on screen print version (miss the comics) but the version I can get is excellent.

### 4/5 — Vermonter

*2024-12-13, version 3.15.03*

Great paper for newcomers to learn about Snohomish County and beyond

### 4/5 — Daily reader

*2024-04-10, version 3.11.03*

I’m a dinosaur, prefer to read my paper in print. It’s been difficult to switch to digital, but I’m doing it. I appreciate being able to enlarge the font online. Please keep reporting, I’m reading.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A great app

*2026-06-13, version 3.19.23*

The app gives you a chance to see both the print version and electronic version of the paper daily.

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2026-03-25, version 3.19.23*

So far I’ve had the subscription for a few weeks. We originally got it for a Mariners promotion. I wasn’t sure if I would read the paper a lot, but come to find out I actually enjoyed it. I hate we don’t get the weekend papers, and there’s no way to add them into your subscription, so that sucks butt.

### 5/5 — I enjoy the Daily Herald since moving to Redmond

*2025-12-22, version 3.15.03*

We used to enjoy reading the print version every morning, but reading online on my iPad since moving to Redmond is a good substitute.
We are keeping up with Snohomish County news and read the editorials, especially Sid Schwab’s analysis.
Thank you,
Hans and Martha Dankers

### 5/5 — The herald

*2025-11-12, version 3.15.03*

Love the local paper. We need it very much

### 5/5 — Local insight

*2025-09-16, version 3.15.03*

I love getting local news from the Herald. There is always something interesting that is “news” to me.

### 5/5 — Great Reporting

*2025-09-09, version 3.15.03*

I was reluctant to switch from paper to digital for my news. The switch has been great! Getting the news wherever I am in an easy to use format fas been a pleasure. Contrary to what I had expected, I read more of the paper now. I’m so glad I made the change.

### 5/5 — Please provide more unbiased reporting.

*2025-08-07, version 3.15.03*

I am enjoying the app, the Herald newspaper and the format-it reminds me of newspapers gone-by.
However, I am concerned about your biased, and frankly, unconfirmed data towards our local politicians. These local elections matter, as does what you print. Please take time to verify all information before printing. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2025-07-14, version 3.15.03*

I much prefer receiving the Herald via the internet as I can read it at home, on vacation, in a coffee shop or ? And I don’t have delivery issues 😊.

### 5/5 — Great Regional Reporting

*2025-07-07, version 3.15.03*

The Herald always brings great analysis to their publication. So much better than other smaller local online publications which rely heavily on SEO and clicks.

### 5/5 — The Everett Herald

*2025-03-16, version 3.15.03*

Yes, I have learned to enjoy reading the news online. It eliminates the collection of paper that is recycled. The content is good. What I do miss are the weekly ads from local retailers. I miss “holding” the paper. Online is a good alternative. I can read the paper on my timeline! Especially since the move to USMail delivery! THAT IS a bad idea on sooooo many levels!
