Eating vegetarian is a way of living. Finding somewhere you can actually eat shouldn't come down to luck. Every restaurant in HerbMeet was found, checked and voted in by the people who eat at them. WHERE THE DATA IS Coverage is built entirely by the people using the app, so it is dense in some areas and empty in others. If your area is blank, nobody has added anything there yet — you can be the first. TAGS AREN'T A SINGLE CHOICE A place that serves vegan, ovo and lacto dishes carries all three tags. Contains-allium and also-serves-meat are marked separately. Nothing gets forced into the one category it fits least badly. CLOSED PLACES TURN GREY, THEY DON'T DISAPPEAR A shop that shuts stays on the map in grey rather than being deleted — so you know something used to be there, and so someone can report that it has reopened. THE MAP IS MAINTAINED TOGETHER Wrong tag, shop closed down? Anyone can propose a correction. Corrections take effect only after enough votes, and they must come from different people — no single account decides a listing. NO ADS, NO SUBSCRIPTION There are no ads and no subscription. If you want to put more in, you can choose to support the project and carry a little more weight when voting — but the rule above still holds: more weight still needs someone else to agree. A NOTE ON THE LANGUAGE The interface follows your system language. Restaurant names and addresses stay in Chinese — that's what's written on the sign, copied down by whoever added the place. It now falls back to English. English is otherwise unchanged apart from two labels: the membership section in Settings, and the wording of the "edit" proposal type. The location permission prompt and the home-screen name follow the device language as well — 哈波蜜 on a Chinese device, HerbMeet everywhere else. The name has always existed in both forms; neither is a translation of the other. Restaurant names and addresses stay exactly as contributors entered them. They are the signs you read on the street. ### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-11 MULTI-SELECT VEGETARIAN TAGS A restaurant is no longer limited to one category. Vegan, ovo, lacto, contains-allium and also-serves-meat can all apply at once — a buffet serving vegan and ovo dishes can now say so, instead of being filed under whichever single category fit least badly. Existing listings were converted automatically: fully vegetarian → Vegan ovo-lacto → Ovo-vegetarian + Lacto-vegetarian allium-vegetarian → Vegan + Contains allium serves meat too → Also serves meat If a place looks wrong, you can propose a correction as before, and other people vote on it. ENGLISH INTERFACE The interface now follows your system language, so this app is no longer Chinese-only.
