I can’t see the status of other machines here. No notification when your machine is done. You can’t add time to the dryer after the initial start including if the app or internet fails. The timer on the washing machine isn’t even accurate. It always takes longer than the time says. And when you try to submit feedback on the app it logs you out! ### 2/5 — Paying for dryers needs improvements *2026-08-13, version 2.28.2* Starting a washing machine isn’t that bad but starting a dryer is terrible. Instead of letting the user select how many minutes they want their dryer to run, you have to add 5 minutes each time. Now that’s fine but the starting default is 10 minutes, it’s pretty rare anyone is using a dryer for 10 minutes. Why can’t you let the user select how many minutes they want the dryer to run in multiples of 5? Instead, adding time is a SEPARATE transaction that takes forever. On top of that, once you get to 30 minutes, adding more time always fails and you have to reconnect to the machine. It’s so complicated for no reason. Instead of sending multiple SLOW transactions for a single machine, you can send ONE. Such poor and lazy design. ### 3/5 — Minimum $25 load cash grab *2026-07-29, version 2.28.2* I’m upset that they made the lowest minimum amount you can deposit into your account $25. When laundry costs $2.75 and times are tight, you are squeezing people out of a basic human need for clean clothes. It used to be $10 and now all you can deposit is $25, $50, and $75. Even if you just need one load. You don’t need a loading screen for 5 minutes on every single button tap. You don’t don’t have proper logging out. This is with the updated app. My settings show bluetooth is enabled. Not to mention there is no app support for this. The app won't let me update the email or start fresh, meaning I’d literally have to change my cell provider to make a new account. I’m currently forced to use my girlfriend's account just to do my laundry. The camera says invalid QR code 1000 times before it actually scans, half the time the app doesn’t even work. Out unit has 5 dryers and 4 washers. Despite registering an account, both washers and dryers read as “0/0” regardless of being actually being used or not. Get notified the issue has been fixed and the next load the result is the same. TRASHHHH ### 1/5 — Scummy company *2026-08-16, version 2.28.2* Just know if you want to do a load of laundry initially it’s going to cost you a $5 fee and a minimum $20 load onto the card. Doing a single load of laundry costs about $5 and my laundry was literally still dirty and no I don’t mean stained I mean water didn’t even soak through my clothes all the way so I had to do a second wash and then 2 rounds on the highest setting on the dryer to actually dry my clothes. Genuinely the worst experience. My one load of laundry cost me $10 and a lot of stress. ### 1/5 — Stop scamming me *2026-08-12, version 2.28.2* Thanks for making the already tedious process of doing laundry more complicated for no reason. If I’m gonna put money in it, at least make it work. Don’t take 15 dollars and tell me transaction failed but still take from my bank so now I can wait for that to finish pending. Forced me to input card info again even though the card was not expired. Then it logged me out of my account. ### 1/5 — Maliciously Designed App *2026-07-31, version 2.28.2* This app is designed to take your money and make it impossible to get it back should you encounter an issue with a machine. I requested a refund for a broken machine (didn’t start after accepting my money yet the timer on my cycle counted down anyway.) The app has no way to track status of such requests, which adds to the frustration, though it feels extremely intentional to obscure such information and make it difficult to track. All in all it’s clear that this company intends to make it VERY difficult to get your money back should you encounter a legitimate issue and hopes its users will lose a war of attrition. Furthermore, when trying to submit feedback through the app’s feedback page, hitting submit just logs you out of your session… I’m a mobile dev, at best this is an atrocious bug, at worst it is straight up malicious design. If you’re a resident of a building using Hercules for your laundry STAY AWAY from this app at all costs. I understand that occasionally asking users to re-register their debit or credit card is an important security feature, and I appreciate the added protection. It did inconvenience me once when I was away from home and had to run back upstairs to re-enter my card information before I could complete my transaction. Because of that, I recommend keeping funds loaded in the app whenever possible. One feature I’d really like to see is the ability to add more time to a parking session directly from the app without having to walk back to the parking meter and press the confirmation button. Being able to extend a session completely from the app would make it much more convenient, especially in bad weather or when you’re already some distance away. Other than those suggestions, the app has worked well for me.
