## What is Herd?

Fill the whole range. That is the only goal, and it is the only rule you need.

Drag your stock onto the range to claim acres. But two herds of different colors that end up touching will fight - the bigger herd drives the smaller one off, and loses just as many head doing it. Every fight costs you ground. So the game is not about winning fights. It is about placing so that fights never happen.

Fill the range completely and something quietly true falls out: a full range is always a single herd. You do not have to aim for it. It cannot be otherwise.
