### 4/5 — Good App

*2013-11-29*

This seems to be a pretty good App. I'm finding it easy to enter data and navigate. Would be a great App if there was some way to print data or even sync to a program on laptop for printing and backing up. Will be watching for updates and improvements before entering entire herds.

### 4/5 — Functional

*2013-09-03*

A really functional app

### 4/5 — Great, but has a few cons.

*2013-05-14*

I love this app, and I think it's great. I can keep track of all my show cows. It saves a lot of paper, but I hate that you can only have 5 animals. I think you should change that, then I will give you 5 stars.

### 4/5 — Jamie

*2013-01-04, version 3.1*

Although clearly designed for cows, actually a very good app for pigs and sheep, designer if very receptive to suggestions and speedy replies! Once all you individual sheep are logged into (maybe scope here for linking to electronic ear tage recorders john) With a few tweeks this could be five + stars easily, there is no syncing between devices as yet and a notes facility needed when recording an action (event) for more detail and a diary reminder for repeat treatments etc would be ace but it is sooo smoke to use and very useful withdrawal period facility and you can use the field facility to identify between mobs (flocks) of sheep. Then events recorder can identify additional feeding requirements, lameness, lambing problems and scanning results all of which are recorded to the animal or across multiple animals if you have say..... Given calcium to two ewes in a field of 50 or identified a lame ewe and had to trim or spray you can create an event on your i phone and you can see if there is reoccurring problem immediatey......John when you work out how to read the electronic ear tag on the iphone so you don't have to read the tag then we are really talking!

### 4/5 — Good

*2012-06-24*

Great app...just wish you could add pictures of each animal/herd.

### 4/5 — Love This App

*2011-07-06*

I love this apps simplicity! It is very user friendly, I just would request a couple of things to be added such as a way to do weight adjustment, a feed rationing log, capability to add pictures of my animals and a section for my equipment inventory. I wouldn't mind paying $17.00 if these things were added! Five animals for free doesn't get too far when your talking a cattle herd. But really a great start!!!

### 3/5 — Could be useful....

*2011-03-07, version 2.1*

A simple database, obviously designed for cows (the clue's in the name!) but with a few minor changes it would have been useful for us sheep farmers too....
1) Allow the user to edit the breed name or add their own. Mines a Castlemilk Moorit please.....
2) It's not possible to enter a sire or dam that is outside the flock (ahem, I mean herd.)
3) An export facility (CSV etc.) would be useful.
4) Sorry to winge, hill farming doesn't pay much and £9.99 for the full version is a bit steep compared to other much more sophisticated iphone apps...

It's worth a try though if you are looking for a handy database of your flock (erm, I mean herd) that you can keep in your pocket...

### 1/5 — Update Failed

*2016-12-12*

Since the latest update, I can no longer add animals to the program. I paid for the program about 2 years ago and now kicks me out when I try to add another animal stating I am limited to 5 animals. My whole herd is in the program. Guess I need to find a different program.

### 1/5 — Not very user friendly

*2015-03-02*

So I have a goat farm and thought Ok this app should be close enough for info input. Under 'animals' I put in my newborns, but when you click on column for Dam or Sire you get a page with the newborns name and no way to modify said page. Then back under events and procedures done you get a medication field with many lines to 'write' on yet no prompts to allow you to do so. All in all very frustrating to use and does not share information across different devices. Disappointing!

### 1/5 — Ripoff!!

*2012-02-04*

A real waste.

### 1/5 — great idea but poor application

*2011-04-23*

this program is a great idea but how about a note field and when you try to upgrade it crashes...... come on you can do better than this

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2016-08-10, version 3.2.4*

Too slow to improve app.
Rarely replies to emails
Frustrating because it could be brilliant.
Dreadful shame that the author does not appear to be interested in improving it.

### 2/5 — Pictures

*2014-07-02*

It would have been better if it allowed one to take a picture to attach to an animal's record.

### 2/5 — Records

*2013-10-25*

No place to keep track of calving records

### 3/5 — Cattle

*2014-11-19, version 3.2.3*

Nice app, the notes section needs expanded so that a person can view the entire note without having to go into the edit mode.

### 3/5 — Promising

*2012-06-26*

Overall, it looks like this app has most of the information needed for my flock. Date of birth entry poor, need to separate into day/month/year. Notes and pictures would be helpful, could use notes to track weights. 'Medicate' tab would be nice renamed to 'services' for hoof trimming, shearing, etc. Would like to suppress the many bovine breeds - not all users will have cattle.

### 3/5 — Manager mvr

*2011-12-17*

This is a great program but when you reach about 50 animal start they freeze and no accept more or correct animals entry.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best herd management app I know of

*2016-12-06*

Very happy with this app. Works well and intuitively. I wish there was a photo option, or even better, the chance to store and date photos of the animal (birth, weaning, 1 yr, etc). All in all, well done!

### 5/5 — Small rancher

*2013-04-04*

Is a great app for a small rancher. I can keep track of each cows history, which field they are in, and medications I've given. Not sure if it can print off my data, but if it doesn't, could you please make that update. Maybe even upload to a server that I can print from my computer.

### 5/5 — Best App

*2013-01-19, version 3.1*

Great App for Hobby Farm owners. Can be modified to meet your farms needs. Excellent.

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2012-10-21, version 3.0*

Is a real godsend when you are out in a muddy field and the vet wants to know who the beast's mother was! Not quite perfect but being improved. Bargain price considering limited market.

### 5/5 — lozbm

*2012-02-03, version 2.6*

This is a really good app for keeping record of my small sheep herd.

### 5/5 — Herd

*2012-01-21, version 2.6*

This is a brilliant bit of kit. To have all of your herd's details immediately to hand and to be able to put in medication details instantly with automatic withdrawal periods is priceless. Well done and worth every penny

### 5/5 — Absolutely priceless

*2011-09-01, version 2.5.1*

Use it all the time and the developer is very receptive to ideas to improve it great app

### 4/5 — Problem

*2016-01-24*

Great app but it won't let me by unlimited animals this is a serious problem. Please fix

### 4/5 — Good

*2015-01-27, version 3.2.3*

Good app really useful in the feild. But you can only put on 5 animals and then you have to pay 12.99. Also it would be good if you could put on who the animal was inseminated to

### 4/5 — Owner

*2014-02-13*

I am really loving this app very useful tool. I love having my flocks information right at my finger tips. Pretty easy to learn. There are some features the are critical for me that are missing and would like to see added. I like to track my animals weights. Add birth weights weaning weights and yearling weights. I would also like to be able to track how much wool each animal produced from year to year. Over all the app is worth the money
