⭐ 1 Star — Absolutely Horrible and Pathetic App

You cannot expect a more horrible and pathetic app than this. Multiple basic and critical functions simply do not work.

The most important feature of any banking/financial app should be claim support. Yet the moment you try to raise a claim, the app forces you to log out. You log back in, try again, and are thrown into the same vicious loop. It is practically impossible to complete the process.

Uploading documents is another nightmare. The app repeatedly forces you to log out and log back in, only to encounter the exact same problem again. These are not minor bugs — these are fundamental functions that should have been fixed years ago.

What is even more unbelievable is that this has apparently been going on for years. How can an institution expect customers to trust its digital services when such basic functionality remains broken for so long?

The developers and the people responsible for designing, maintaining, and overseeing this app should genuinely be ashamed of the state of this product. This reflects an astonishing lack of accountability, quality control, and concern for customers.

It is difficult to understand how an organisation can have the time and resources for everything else, yet apparently have no urgency whatsoever to fix an app that customers are forced to depend on.

Horrible. Pathetic. Frustrating. Unreliable.

This app desperately needs a complete overhaul — not another superficial update that claims to fix things while leaving the fundamental problems untouched.

The app UI is clean, but there are some bugs first of all the most frustrated one is there is no option to remove a duplicated policy for example when I purchase insurance for my car I manually added the policy into the app but after few minutes one more automatically added that is fine but now both are showing and I am not able to remove anyone which looks frustrated and irrelevant as well. Second thing is the app response is very slow, many times when I try to navigate it respond very slowly which frustrates me again. I hope it will help to make these necessary improvements into the app.

Extremely poor experience with this health insurance service. It took nearly 2 months just to correct a basic name error, despite submitting all valid documents multiple times.
During this delay, my claim was cancelled, and I faced continuous issues trying to reopen it. Customer support is highly ineffective — no proper email responses, and calls are handled mostly by automated systems with no real resolution.
Due to this, I had to cancel my policy (including family coverage), and even after raising a cancellation request, there has been no response regarding refund.
This kind of service is unacceptable, especially for something as critical as health insurance. Proceed with caution.

I had a deeply frustrating experience with HDFC ERGO's "India Gets Moving" scheme. The company not only failed to deliver on its promises but also engaged in unfair trade practices.
Whenever a customer files a complaint, they are given a new date for resolution, but their problem is never actually solved.  No matter how many emails or calls you make, they do nothing. After a month or two, they simply close the complaint themselves. I myself have been a victim of this. When you contact customer care and they can't resolve the issue, they say they will give you their senior's number. However, the number they provide is either unreachable or they don't reply to emails properly. They focus more on making excuses than on resolving the problem.

Customers, including myself, were subjected to repeated false assurances, and the entire process seemed intentionally designed to test patience. Despite sending numerous emails in an attempt to resolve the issue, I received only unsatisfactory responses.

I was repeatedly told to "wait," with no tangible solutions or updates. The scheme itself appears dubious-redemption dates are continually extended, and policies are modified to suit the company's interests, leaving customers in a state of uncertainty. I purchased an iWatch under this scheme, but it has been a complete ordeal. Despite adhering to all guidelines, I still haven't received what was promised. HDFC ERGO seems more focused on avoiding its commitments than on resolving customer issues.

I strongly advise against purchasing any product, particularly an iWatch, under this scheme. The lack of transparency and customer service is unacceptable. I am now considering legal action and urge others to do the same if they face similar challenges. This company seems to prioritize exploiting customers over fulfilling its promises. I highly recommend staying away from this scheme.

### 1/5 — Genuine Claim Denied & Treated Horribly — Please Read Before Trusting

My accident was sudden — the tyre and rim burst instantly on impact — and I submitted every photo, document, and detail exactly as required. Despite this, HDFC ERGO’s Jaipur branch denied my genuine claim without giving a single proper policy clause or technical reason.

What shocked me even more was the behaviour of the staff and surveyor: rude, dismissive, and mentally exhausting during a time when a customer actually needs support.

People deserve to know how easily a real, legitimate claim can be denied and how poorly customers can be treated during emergencies. Think twice before trusting your safety and money with this service.

Even after submitting correct policy number following OTP authentication this app is unable to proceed further with premium renewal. The Contact centre keeps following up customer for premium renewal. The Support team asks customer to wait until less than 30 days are left for renewal. And the IT team doesn’t know they should at least print an error message when the app can’t proceed further for whatever reason. Hopefully my first claim experience will be better than this.

Experienced an extremely frustrating experience with
HDFC ERGO's "India Gets Moving" scheme.
The company not only failed to provide genuine satisfaction but also resorted to unfair trade practices. They harassed customers, including myself, with false promises, and the entire process is designed to test your patience.
Despite sending numerous emails and trying to resolve the issue, I received nothing but unsatisfactory responses. They kept telling me to
"wait," with no concrete solution or updates.
The scheme itself feels like a scam-redemption dates are constantly extended, and policies are amended to suit their needs, leaving customers in the dark.
I purchased an iWatch under this scheme, but it's been a nightmare ever since. l've followed all the guidelines and still haven't received what was promised. HDFC ERGO seems more interested in avoiding their commitments than in resolving issues.
I would strongly advise against purchasing anything, especially an iWatch, under this scheme

Their lack of transparency and customer service is appalling. I'm now considering legal action, and l urge others to do the same if they encounter similar problems. This company clearly doesn't value its customers and uses exploitative tactics to avoid fulfilling their promises.
Even staying away from HDFC is the way forward.

Dear HDFC ERGO, Apple Support, 

I am writing to express my serious dissatisfaction with the way my claims have been handled under the 'India Gets Moving' initiative. I had made a claim for the cashback on my Apple Watch purchase for month 1, which was processed successfully. However, I am still awaiting the claims for month 2 and month 3, despite fulfilling all requirements outlined in the policy.

I have received a communication stating that my claim was "not as per the policy," but there has been no clear explanation provided about what went wrong. I have documentation supporting my claims and compliance with the policy terms, and I demand a clear, transparent explanation regarding the discrepancies.

This situation is unacceptable, as I was encouraged to purchase the Apple Watch with the promise of cashback under the 'India Gets Moving' initiative. However, not only have the subsequent claims been denied without just cause, but I also feel that both HDFC ERGO and Apple are misleading customers by not delivering on the assurances made at the time of purchase.

If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to pursue legal action against both HDFC ERGO and Apple for breach of trust, failure to honor contractual obligations, and for misleading marketing practices. 

I expect a resolution to this matter within 7 days. If not, I will be forced to take further steps, including legal recourse.

I look forward to your immediate response and resolution of this matter.
