Sometimes it will remove pending charges from your balance and sometimes it does not. Also why can’t I set up text alerts through my app so that I can be alerted of a charge plus my new balance every time money is charged or spent. Finally updated the app the matches modern times and not outdated🙏🏽 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Heritage South App-Post update *2026-04-01, version 3.32.0* I have used this app for years and have greatly enjoyed the ease of use and convenience that it has had. Recently, however, something has changed and any time I need to use it I have to go through a multi-step login process that I never had to before. Many times it would attempt to launch and throw an error message that required a reset. The error would only go away if the app was closed and re-opened, usually resulting in the same error. In order to reset, I would have to turn my phone completely off and restart it. Then I could go through the multi-step login. I’ll be the first to asmit my phone is old and may contribute to the problem, but it’s strange that it never happened before. ### 1/5 — Dinosaur Bank *2026-03-23, version 3.32.0* Can’t accomplish what you need to because of the delay in time. The present one does NOT work for most people. Additionally, the employees there don’t go out of their way to help you. No way to remove information. Set up alerts still not getting. Have to call every time. Also required to agree to user id with no way to even see your account. Force to sign agreement. No way to decline and still see your account information. ### 1/5 — Downgrade *2020-10-09, version 2.22.0* I downloaded this app a few weeks ago to replace the old app. So far I’ve had to call and speak to a representative three times to fix things that the app is suppose to do but won’t do. You can also deactivate your card on the app but have to call to reactivate it. If you pay a bill, it doesn’t show on your account until the vendor processes it which can take several days (which is different than the old app operated). This app has me searching for new credit unions to bank with that have user friendly apps. I’ve actually found several in the Murfreesboro area and will be swapping to one in the next few weeks. ### 1/5 — Hate the update *2020-10-02, version 2.22.0* I hate the fact that I can’t see my balance change under each transaction anymore. I use to be able to easily transfer money between accounts using the account numbers.. now I need a member number & a share number that I don’t have. So I had to call and speak to someone to get all that information. Just not impressed. ### 2/5 — Balancing *2020-11-20, version 2.24.0* You cannot balance an account easily because you cannot click on them to to show you have cleared them. I have to go back several transactions and figure out where I left off. Just frustrating. I use BOA for all other banking. It’s a breeze. You can click on cleared to know you have logged it. So easy to pick up where you left off each month. It shows what has cleared the bank and what is still pending. Thank you ### 2/5 — I like the new design *2020-09-29, version 2.22.0* I tried to deposit a check into my account, through the app today and that is when I found out that it’s not supported anymore. I was trying to choose who I wanted to switch to due to the credit union I was with restructured and their footprint no longer covered my area. After looking at all possibilities, I came to HSCCU and have been blown away with their service. The credit union’s fix is to mail money to them or come to the bank anyway defeating the purpose of the app’s feature in the first place. It’s gray for looking at your account but it tends to freeze/not load well when it’s raining or is very slow to update.
