## What is Herline?

Herline is a personal safety application designed to help users stay safe while traveling. It is a personal safety app that automatically alerts your emergency contact if you don't check in, no button to press, no SOS needed. It's the safety net that works even when you can't ask for help.

HOW IT WORKS
Set a check-in timer before you head out. If you don't confirm you're safe within the expected time, a 10-minute grace period begins. If you still don't respond, your emergency contact automatically receives an SMS alert asking them to check on you urgently. No action required under pressure.

WHO IS IT FOR?
Herline is for anyone who wants peace of mind when going out alone. It was built with women in mind but is available to anyone aged 18 and over. Particularly useful for:
	•	Women going on first dates or meeting strangers
	•	International students exploring unfamiliar cities
	•	Solo travellers and late-night commuters
	•	Early morning runners and gym-goers
	•	Anyone working or travelling alone in unfamiliar places

IMPORTANT
Herline is not an emergency service and does not contact the police, ambulance, or fire services. In any life-threatening situation, always call your local emergency number immediately.
Herline is not a tracking app. We do not continuously monitor or store your location. The location snapshot (Pro) is only shared with your nominated emergency contact when you enable it.
