Hermex is a native iPhone client for your self-hosted Hermes Agent server. It is designed for people who already run a reachable Hermes Web UI server and want a focused mobile way to keep up with agent work from iPhone. Connect to your own server, open existing sessions, start new conversations, and follow streamed responses as they arrive. Manage Kanban boards and cards, review status-focused work, update workflows, add comments, inspect history, and preview or launch Dispatcher runs. The app also supports model/profile/reasoning controls, file and photo attachments, workspace file browsing, tasks, skills, memory, usage details, and a share extension for staging content from other iOS apps. Agent execution happens on the configured Hermes server, not on the iPhone. Prompts, attachments, shared content, workspace requests, board and card actions, and session actions are sent only to the server URL you enter. Recent sessions and messages may be cached locally for offline read-only viewing, and the cache can be cleared from Settings. Hermex does not provide a hosted Hermes backend, in-app account creation, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Or to have ‘Return’ alone send message. ### 4/5 — Chat doesn’t work with a native Hermes install *2026-08-31, version 1.5* Hermex worked great when Hermes was in a Docker. I now run Hermes self-hosted, not through the Docker web UI. Hermex can't chat against that setup — it needs the old web UI's session API, and a native install doesn't expose it. Everything else (session browsing) works fine; chat just never connects. I tried to work around it by standing up the Docker web UI alongside my native install so Hermex would have the API it wanted. That corrupted my session database — not once, but repeatedly, because the two were writing to the same session file at the same time. I eventually had to lock that path down entirely and go back to a browser-based workaround instead of the app. Is there a supported way to point Hermex at a native Hermes backend, or a plan to add one? I'd like to use the actual app again — I just can't risk the database corruption to do it. ### 5/5 — Software very easy to use nice *2026-08-27, version 1.5* Software very easy to use nice,great work, providing tremendous value to me I could easily delegate task to Hermes on mobile app. Small suggestion to fix the issue that modal auto dismiss when keyboard opens. But still have it plugged into our home lab services like whisper STT and TTS like Kokoro or something? ### 5/5 — Does everything you need except… *2026-08-24, version 1.5* I’ve been looking for an app like this for ages but… paywall after paywall, you’ve ran out of free credits, top up to send this message… not with this one it’s fully free and works like a charm there is just a few flaws that are very minor. for example You can only copy the agents certain reply’s/blocks, there is no “copy all” button at the bottom of reply you have to manually copy every section. Also the “bots/profiles” are there which is good but there is no “group chat” integration like the desktop app so you can’t have multiple agents in 1 thread again very minor I hope to see all these in the next update ### 4/5 — Great app, needs work *2026-08-23, version 1.5* Very good app but struggles on my 14 pro when working in a long thread.
