We have had nothing but trouble from getting them synced to our phones to daily use. The new printers did not come with the necessary drive to sync to the iPhone. And anytime i try to sync to the printer, it takes at least 5 min to get the Bluetooth connected. But if I stop printing for a minute, I have to go through the process all over - repeatedly restarting the app, Bluetooth, and the printer. Even after trying to fix the settings so it doesn’t time out, it continues to do so. And most recently, hero has deleted my account and I am unable to login. I can’t even get a new account because it says I already have one - even though it isn’t showing. Overall - the app and the printer have been. Nothing but a headache all school year. (Ps. The paper rolls are much smaller now also meaning you have to replace them more frequently). Would not recommend the application or printer. ### 1/5 — No Landscape on iPad *2021-09-16* I use my iPad in landscape with the keyboard. App will not rotate to landscape. It stays in portrait. Customer help services are a joke at best, simply stating they got your ticket and then doing nothing to fix issues. Please do not waste your teacher’s time or school’s finances on this app or company. ### 1/5 — Broken App *2022-09-03* A lot of educational software can be buggy, but Hero by Schoolmint takes the cake. When you first install the app, you can get into an infinite loop. Disabling touch/Face ID can help, but if you close the app, the login prompt won’t appear. Schoolmint has the worst customer service in history. They don’t listen for understanding, the blame their problems on the user (told me that it was because I didn’t put in my password accurately), and just escalate the issue to the developers who do nothing. ### 1/5 — Will not open anymore *2022-09-02* I cannot keep uninstalling and reinstalling this all to log in. It worked fine last year but now it won’t open. ### 1/5 — This app is trash *2022-09-02* If I could give this app a below zero, I would. Face recognition does not work, and at this point, I have reinstalled it more times than I care to count to get it to work correctly. I keep having to stop teaching to record tardies, ID violations, etc., because the app does not work, so I have to use my laptop rather than my phone and the scanning feature that is supposed to be available. I’m using on my iPad where it works well. Icons, though, would make it easier for students with similar names. ### 4/5 — User Friendly *2020-01-16* Much easier to select the desired track as well as scanning the student id (which works with iPhone...didn’t work for me on the old app) or easy look up by first of last name. I wish this app would allow you to select an entire class to give points too for something such as all students being on time. **Developer response:** Hello! The Face ID acts like it wants to work, but never does. I’m required to type in a lengthy password each time I need to use the app. We need the app to be simple for teachers so they don’t have to take time out of their already busy schedule to utilize the good features this app has. Please fix the Face ID so that teachers can easily login, entering student behaviors. Unfortunately I’ve been stuck unable to log in to the app for the past few weeks. When I load it up, the only thing that appears on screen is the blue wallpaper with no possible way to log in.
