I would rather pay upfront than have in game purchases, although they haven’t been prominent yet. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Immediate ads after opening app. *2024-06-22* The first thing I saw upon opening this app, was a bunch of money grabbing in app purchase ads. I'm deleting the app now. ### 1/5 — Is the game going to get an update *2020-08-03* Can’t unlock the skills, why hasn’t this game been updated yet. No-one replies to you! ### 1/5 — Unbalanced Pay2Win Fail *2019-03-04, version 1.0.27* After level 10 the amount of gold you need to progress is impossible to get without spending real money. And since when does a tower defense game need 3 kinds of in-game currency? This is a blatant cash grab and not worth the time to play. ### 2/5 — So Close *2018-11-10, version 1.0.20* This came so close to being a really epic game. The first 5 levels are awesome. The game play is engaging. The balance is good. Learning the different elements of the game is interesting but not too complex. Then..... Levels 5 - 10, the normal setting and challenge setting are fine but the “Hard” levels are stupidly difficult. Levels 11 and above, all settings are ridiculously hard. So, you think to yourself, I’ll just upgrade some attributes. But then you realize the upgrades are way too expensive and do almost nothing (I.e. increasing power by 2% or 5% when it needs to be in minimum jumps of 20%). Literally, some of the upgrades increase attacks speed by reducing in .02 second increments. Ewwwww, thanks for nothing! Glad is spent 8,000 coins on that. Why would you spend the time developing this good of a concept to ruin it by frustrating people into not playing long term? I play mostly tower defense games and I sooooo wanted this to be my next forever game. Back to downloading new games. 😕 ### 2/5 — Up and down *2018-06-12, version 1.0.8* Great potential. Too hard. After Level 5, the difficulty jumps from challenging to impossible. There’s no storyline, boring backgrounds, tower abilities are blah. But the game play is fun. I guess they want me to spend money. It’s way too rough for me to even consider that. Thank you. ### 3/5 — Good TD game *2018-11-05* Good TD game with hard grinding. There is a fun endless mode but it only gives rewards every 5 levels and doesn’t give any rewards beyond level 30. For a game that needs you to grind to earn enough to level up towers, there’s isn’t an efficient grinding method. ### 3/5 — Was great...but... *2018-07-07* Great game, but now it seems even when I upgrade a support character to 10, it doesn’t seem to save and the next day it’s at level 4 again! This has happened twice consecutively and it’s infuriating.
