If you just play iOS, its fun. But you can login multiplayer & play on Web (Flash), PC, Mac, and asynch turn-based. Don't let the homebrew look throw you off. Actually a lot of game here. You get a squad of 3 - a Mage and 2 sidekicks. So do the opponents -- up to 8 in a battle! And that's what you do -- battle!! Dice rolls keep outcomes uncertain, but a few strategic tricks can change outcomes. Some really strong sidekicks (Barbarian...?), but generally all are useful. It puts you right into the action with easy to understand rules and tutorials. It even has multiplayer. Hope there is added content later on. I also wish there were some sort of persistent level up mechanic and card collecting. But that's my one minor complaint. . . Well that and also I wish there were more main units.
