### 3/5 — App is better than service

*2026-09-01, version 3.9.1*

The app is ok. Navigation and usability is good. Several minor features that could help reduce false notifications (low pill count notifications on short-term meds). Better reporting would be nice to have.

The service is Medicare fraud. Better off paying monthly than allowing a fraudulent remote healthcare company bill Medicare for false services.

### 2/5 — Customer service

*2026-08-25, version 3.9.0*

Worst customer service I’ve ever seen they’re not 24 hours. They’re 24 hours only through A.I. I feel like I was deceived

### 4/5 — Would be a 5-Star App with Medication and Symptom Tracking

*2026-07-25, version 3.8.9*

For the price point, this app has a lot of potential, but it needs a few key features to truly deliver value. Adding a medication refill reminder, along with a comprehensive health profile to track blood pressure, medication symptoms, chronic illness logs, and cancer symptom journals, would make this an indispensable tool for managing care and communicating with doctors.

### 2/5 — Patient

*2026-07-19, version 3.8.9*

Hero Dispenser

### 4/5 — Good, but…

*2026-07-06, version 3.8.8*

I appreciate the Hero and how it helps me better manage my parents’ medications. However, there are some improvements the developer could make that would help me give this app 5 stars:
1. When you are using two Hero devices and viewing device A, you have to select device B twice to make the switch and view device B.
2. The scheduling does not allow you to select “every other day” as a medication interval.
3. With tiny pills, you may have 4 left in the cartridge, yet the Hero device claims there are no pills to dispense.

### 5/5 — Pill hero

*2026-06-29, version 3.8.6*

If it wasn’t for Hero, I would never have taken my medication on time and I’m glad there a kind of a machine that help people when they can’t remember if they took there pills on time.

### 5/5 — Life saver

*2026-06-26, version 3.8.6*

Don’t know what my mom would do without this machine! It’s saved both of us.

### 5/5 — My HERO Machine

*2026-06-24, version 3.8.6*

The most Remarkable Machine I have ever owned, If you don’t have one, get one Immediately, you will never be sorry, that you did…
Customer Service is Excellent…
Move into the 21st Century with Pride, let everyone know, how much, you really care about your Health & Well Being…

### 5/5 — For my brother with vascular dementia.

*2026-06-20, version 3.8.6*

Before having the hero, his pills where in a pill box where he’s medication didn’t fit. It was a headache weekly, trying to figure how to make it easier.
Saw it on Facebook n got just right on it , 3 yrs now n you have made my life so easy. Have a problem , they are there to help.
they do say to recommend them n you get free subscription, well only thing still waiting for the free subscription. 😊
I LOVE MY HERO 💕

### 5/5 — My Hero

*2026-06-11, version 3.8.6*

This time last year I dreaded medications time! I have Alzheimer’s disease as well as other ailments. I would spend an hour preparing my weekly pill pac container. After a very stressful morning of counting & recounting pills I searched for a better way! HERO came up & I was intrigued. Cost was an issue though.
The next week my son-in-law asked me what wanted for Christmas. I showed him the information. And told him about my counting nightmares. Then gave him the link.
I still have a few meds(7) I have to count out each week. Capsules do not play well with my Hero. But 10 meds are dispensed by my Hero! He even reminds me when it’s time to take all of them!
Thanks to HERO I’m not in tears each week over filling a pill-pac each week!

### 4/5 — Extremely helpful service and app, some mild consistency issues with notifications

*2026-06-05, version 3.8.6*

This app and service have been life-changing for our family. Makes it so much easier to monitor whether our teenager is taking their medications twice per day and has accordingly decreased stress levels all around. The app seems to work well. The only (relatively small) issue in terms of the app’s effectiveness is that notifications through the app to other adult family members aside from me (I’m the primary accountholder) are not consistent, if our kid misses a dose.

### 5/5 — Peace of Mind

*2026-06-02, version 3.8.5*

As our parents get older, one of the biggest concerns is making sure they take the right medications at the right time. Forgetfulness happens, and medication management can quickly become overwhelming for both seniors and their caregivers.

That’s why HERO has been such a blessing for our family.

Not only does HERO dispense medications accurately and on schedule, but it also keeps track of medication inventory, refill needs, and adherence. It has taken so much of the stress and guesswork out of managing my father’s medications.

There have been multiple occasions where HERO helped us verify medication information when records from the pharmacy weren’t accurate or organized. Even more impressively, there was a time when a prescription was refilled incorrectly, and HERO’s system helped identify the issue before my father took the wrong medication. That alone gave us tremendous peace of mind.

For me, HERO is like having a personal nurse on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It provides an extra layer of safety, accountability, and confidence that simply can’t be measured.

The greatest gift HERO has given our family is peace of mind. I sleep better at night knowing my father is receiving the medications he needs, exactly when he needs them.

If you have aging parents, grandparents, or loved ones who take multiple medications, I cannot recommend HERO enough. This device has truly made a difference in our lives and, without question, has helped protect my father’s health.

Thank you, HERO, for helping families like mine care for the people we love most.

### 5/5 — Great help!!

*2026-05-28, version 3.8.5*

I love this Hero!! As a person with younger onset Alzheimer's, go say I was inconsistent with taking my medication would be an understatement! Hero helps me remember whether or not I've taken my medication. And with the partnership with Care Talk Health, Medicare is paying for it!

### 2/5 — Noisy, unreliable, and I can’t cancel

*2026-05-20, version 3.8.4*

I could not believe how noisy this dispenser was when I first got it. It’s somewhat tolerable when it works properly, but it often grinds and whines repeatedly until it sadly spits out one little pill. And all too often it can’t even manage that - it tells me to push a button to open the dispenser, one pill at a time, and go get it myself.

I finally decided it was too expensive for how unreliable it is and wanted to cancel my subscription before it renews in two months. No luck. I needed to ask the Hero AI Assistant, which agreed to find a human agent to assist me. I tried for over an hour - I guess it’s still out there hunting for a human.

I understand (but hate) the “let me get a human to assist you/talk you out of canceling your subscription”, but it relies on actually getting someone (or something: it’s a perfectly fine AI job) to do that.

It’s noisy, unreliable, and it won’t let me cancel my subscription. Other than that it’s not bad.

### 5/5 — Hero Medication Dispenser

*2026-05-14, version 3.8.3*

My husband and I just live our Hero medication dispenser. It has certainly given me back time as I am not messing with dozens of pill bottles daily. This machine is also very accurate and dispenses the right medication at the right time. My husband can also dispense and track my medications also if I am not feeling well enough to do it. Great technology and would also be great for elderly parents whom their children have no idea if they have taken their medications. The only downside for me is that I am on more than 10 medications. I’d love to see a large machine capable of doing up to 20 medications. If you had two sizes it would be great! I still live it besides that I cannot have all my drugs lodged in my Hero. It is my Hero!!

### 5/5 — Perfect for inventory and dispensing of meds.

*2026-05-05, version 3.8.2*

I rarely leave a 5-star review, but this device truly deserves one. If I had to design a device to inventory and dispense my meds/supplements, this would be it. I can think of nothing I would change or add. The device and app are fantastic!

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-05-03, version 3.8.2*

If they created a machine that produces 15 pills, it would be ideal for nearly everyone.

### 5/5 — This thing is awesome

*2026-04-29, version 3.7.4*

We have a disabled daughter and this gives her some independence with her meds and all. Also when I forget what she takes all I have to do is look on her app and it tells me what they are

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Charges to cancel/rude

*2026-07-27, version 3.8.9*

The customer service named “Mina” is unkind. I asked to cancel before the next charge and they took the payment anyway then asked days later why I wanted to cancel. I said I could no longer afford $45 a month after using it for 6months because my partner was laid off. She said days later to cancel I need to pay $270 for the rest of the year and pay to return the machine. They charged me after I asked to cancel asked why as tho out of kindness and concern only to keep saying I was in a commitment. If I don’t have $45 monthly anymore how would I pay $270?

### 1/5 — Always an issue with this thing

*2026-06-11, version 3.8.6*

I’ve been a Hero user for about 8 years and while at first it is a great device, as the years wore on, the darn thing has just about stopped working and Hero refuses to send me a new one. As well, about every six months they charge my card an exorbitant fee and I have to reach out to them to get it refunded. It gets tiring. Unfortunately I’ve become so in the habit of using it it’s become a staple and there’s really no other options except to go back to the ole serve yourself style. Silly to gripe about a device that is designed to be helpful but this thing is worn out and dealing with the fee issue is getting aggravating.

### 1/5 — Be careful

*2026-04-14, version 3.7.4*

Take a while to research this company and the product. The service response, given the nature of the product, is not near adequate. I’ve gone through two devices that would never activate, and now can’t get a response or a refund. There is clearly an active problem with the devices, network support is weak, and the service is a chat bot that tells you to restart over and over again. My experience here was bad, and it seems like something systemic and not a one off. Two out of two devices failed setup with virtually no support. It looks nice, but does not function as advertised in my experience.

### 1/5 — ABSOLUTELY LIVID

*2026-03-29, version 3.7.4*

My mother, who has Alzheimer’s Disease, contacted Hero and was permitted to cancel the service which is in MY NAME, registered to ME and paid for entirely out of pocket with MY bank account. Absolutely zero common sense and utter lack of regard for HIPPA. Hero didn’t bother to contact me or even try to figure out if the caller was authorized to make this decision. DON’T TRUST THIS COMPANY AND DON’T SIGN UP FOR THEIR SERVICE.

### 1/5 — Terrible experience so far

*2026-03-14, version 3.7.4*

I purchased my hero almost a month ago and I am yet to use it. The app won’t pair to the machine, I have been back and forth with hero’s “24/7” customer service with no luck on setting this machine up. I have provided all the information they have asked for several times and left serval voicemails with them to wait to be called back. After requested call backs at certain times because like everyone else I work they call when I cannot come to the phone and the cycle starts again with me calling and leaving a voicemail, requesting a certain time frame, for them to call whenever they want and here we go again. I have called, texted, emailed and at this point I have paid for a subscription I am yet to even use. It’s really disappointing as I have been looking at this for some years now and was hoping this would be an easy solution to sorting my meds and it’s just been nothing but stressful and disappointment.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-02-02, version 3.7.4*

Had the Hero device for a while, my brother’s United healthcare was paying for it. He is still on United healthcare but is on an HMO. They say it is not covered however I called United healthcare and they say it is covered after they talk to someone from Hero and I’m still getting a runaround. this is very upsetting, but I will never use them again because I think this is a total BS when I was told by his insurance that it is covered, but Hero keeps telling me it’s not if they can resolve this problem. I will leave a five star review until then I will only give a one star.

### 1/5 — Stop harassing me with what hero are you

*2026-01-13, version 3.7.3*

Why can I not clear this continuously harassing message about what hero I am. I am uninterested in this marketing. Please give me an option to never see this message again.

### 1/5 — App sucks.

*2025-12-27, version 3.7.2*

Sucks.

### 1/5 — App not working

*2025-10-24, version 3.6.1*

App will not let me add meds

### 1/5 — Buggy and temperamental

*2025-09-10, version 3.5.2*

Vacation mode has never worked correctly. App can be slow to launch and connect at times. Support is unhelpful and never follows up.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Lifesaver for aging parents

*2026-08-28, version 3.9.0*

This device has been so integral to our family. My aging parents were forgetting to take their medicine and I was stressing out about how to better manage things. This device was the answer. Now I can see when they take their meds and if they miss a dose, all on my phone! Game changer!

### 5/5 — My Hero machine is an essential part of my life!

*2026-08-27, version 3.9.0*

I have a variety of medical issues and have 11 different prescriptions I take daily. I also have poor dexterity and little feeling in my hands. Before getting my hero machine, I had to have someone sort my pills for me weekly mistakes were not uncommon. Not only has the Hero machine given me the help I need but it has also given me the accuracy I need. After having used my hero for three years, I would never give it up. I have also raved about my machine to multiple nurses and doctors who 90% of them had never heard of it and I majority wanted to know where they could get further information. If you’ve not tried it, I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — I love it

*2026-08-20, version 3.9.0*

I love the device but hate the price if you can keep it at a $25 a month price indefinitely. It’s an awesome device to have but once the price goes up to $45 it’s stupid. It’s hard to afford

### 5/5 — Great product

*2026-08-19, version 3.9.0*

The nurse told me about this for my grandmother with memory issues. It has been wonderful knowing she is taking the correct medication and saves us money. Great product and easy to use

### 5/5 — Extremely Helpful

*2026-08-17, version 3.9.0*

My spouse takes over a dozen different medications and supplements at almost every hour of the day. Hero significantly minimizes worry over when and what medications to administer. The reminders and notifications are helpful as well. Simple to set up and maintain via the Hero app. Thank you Hero!

### 5/5 — Convenience

*2026-08-16, version 3.8.9*

I don’t ever have to worry about missing any of my medications because Hero takes the thinking out of my hands

### 5/5 — The Best thing for people with several Meds

*2026-08-12, version 3.8.9*

I have had my Hero for almost two years and although I take 12 meds a day, the Hero has made it much easier for me. I am 78 years old and I never miss a dose, nor do I take the wrong medication at any time. It’s all dispensed at the times necessary. I HIGHLY recommend this for everyone!

### 5/5 — Wonderful device for caregivers

*2026-08-08, version 3.8.9*

This device has helped keep mom out of the hospital. She fell asleep a few times and missed doses so we made up pill boxes . That helped but Her old pill boxes were easy to spill and she sometimes didn’t see the pills she missed on the floor. She loves the reminder and we live the fact that we get confirmation if she misses a dose. I love that I can change her dose remotely (for times when we need to stop a medication before a procedure) . Refills are easy! Schedules are flexible . Would recommend to anyone. Holds 10 meds so can even be used for vitamins/etc.

### 5/5 — Life saver

*2026-07-30, version 3.8.9*

Best thing ever!!

### 5/5 — True Hero

*2026-07-26, version 3.8.9*

I take so many medications and refilling boxes for mornings and evening was such a hassle to do every week. Even every month, since Rx’s come in at different times and some are taken twice a day, some only on weekdays some only in the morning and some only in the evening, it became too complex.

I’ve been using this machine for four years now and I absolutely love it.

I just dump the medicine into the machine and the machine does the rest.
