### 3/5 — Fun game but makes phone super hot

*2024-10-12, version 1.1.7*

The game is very fun, but I’ve only been playing for about 15 minutes and my phone started getting really hot.

### 2/5 — Too many adverts

*2024-04-26, version 1.1.7*

Levels take seconds to complete and then you have a 30 second advert after each level

### 3/5 — Bugs, Ad Overload

*2024-01-10*

Fun and mindless, but it’s not really free. The levels take seconds to beat, then you must sit through ads that are minutes long and sometimes require interaction to clear. To play you pretty much have to pay to remove ads.

The levels are not challenging, which isn’t all bad. Only a few out of 450 levels required multiple solved. Some of the bonus modes are more fun than the pin pull.

There are bugs in the IQ mode. You are prompted to do things like shake the phone to have a worm appear out of an apple, but it doesn’t actually work. That is annoying.

### 4/5 — Fun and addicting, but really easy and short

*2023-05-04*

I breezed through all the main levels and all the mini games in a matter of days. While I’ve been replaying some levels here and there just to kill time, it would be nice if newer and harder levels could be added soon.
Overall, though, I’m really glad to finally find a mobile game that works as advertised, with no extraneous things forced in my face. Would recommend to people who’ve been burned out by all the games with false advertising.

### 3/5 — It is actually a pull the pin game

*2023-02-28, version 1.1.4*

It is pull the pin as advertised. The downside is that the levels are solved in 5 seconds and then the ads are a minute long between levels. Ads are overkill.

### 2/5 — Too many Ads!!!

*2023-02-09, version 1.1.4*

The game is what it says, but the ads are excessive. More than half your time is spent on ads. I’m willing to watch an ad for help or power ups, but ads that aren’t at all voluntary are just annoying. Yet another app deleted.

### 2/5 — Don’t force ads

*2022-11-22, version 1.1.4*

You can have more stars when you remove the forced ads every two levels

### 2/5 — Too many ads. Seriously every 3 levels watch an ad.

*2022-09-08, version 1.1.4*

Like every game in the App Store anymore this is simply a pretty fun game you play 3 levels at a time while ads run constantly. Doubt I’ll play much longer. Just too many ads.

### 4/5 — Need version 2 for iOS

*2022-07-24, version 1.1.4*

Amazing, so much fun, but I’ve maxed out on all the levels. Saw there is a version 2 with more puzzles, but it’s only available on android! Please release version 2 on iOS!

### 3/5 — Ok game

*2022-06-07, version 1.1.4*

Add more levels, my daughters been waiting for ages!

### 3/5 — Too many ads

*2022-05-23, version 1.1.4*

It’s an interesting game simple and fun but there are ads like every two seconds

### 4/5 — Lots of puzzles

*2022-05-17*

This is actually a great game. The main game is pin-pull type puzzles, and then there are about 4 other series of alternate puzzle games. It is very much like 5 games in one app. And they’re all similar types of puzzles that probably appeal to you if you’re into pin pull puzzles. Right now there are 420 levels to the main pin pull series of puzzles. I just beat all of them in the week that I’ve had the app so I’m not sure how often new levels are added. I’m going through all the other puzzles now.

### 4/5 — This game delivers the puzzles that the other games advertise with

*2022-04-21, version 1.1.4*

This game delivers the puzzles that the other games advertise with and you find out later there are only a few of them with a bunch of stuff in between. Speaking of advertising I really recommend paying the $3 to remove the adds, it is a very reasonable price and improves the game experience dramatically.

I’m going with 4 stars because it’s not perfect and 4.5 stars is not an option. But I will say I didn’t hesitate to pay for this game it’s totally worth the price. I also bought unlimited lives so my kids could play it.

At this time this game has over 400+ puzzles of the main style and another 300+ in a couple of other styles. Each puzzle is only a minute or two, so you can finish them quickly if you sit down and play them, maybe 4-6 hours. Take your time and enjoy them. There are so many puzzles, you aren’t going to memorize the solutions so the replay value is very high.

The animations are simple and smooth. The rules are very consistent, each new feature is first shown in its simplest form then combined with everything else you already know.

Enhancement requests:
*Maybe different scoring on levels based on remaining pins or other skill/efficient solution factors.
*Many levels have a little slop in when the win is detected so I’ve had the spider bite the king after he opened the treasure. These levels could probably be reused with tighter constraints as higher difficulty levels.
*How about a reset that makes it easier to replay the levels and you don’t have to remember the last level you played for the second or third time.
* I’d like to know that I will get an alert or other indicator on the game when more levels are released.

Great game, thanks for making it!

### 4/5 — Fun, although the advertising is aggressive

*2022-04-20*

I found out about this game when researching those duplicitous mobile games that use nonexistent gameplay to lure in buyers. So why not just make that game? There's clearly demand. This guy did and it definitely delivers.

The only problem is the ads in the free release is way too invasive. Banner ads are fine but forcing people to ingest a video to continue playing (which advertised a game of questionable repute, no less) is a bridge too far and crosses over from pay-to-win to "pay-for-fun". I was probably going to pay anyway and $3 is fair for a game like this but I don't like the method by which it twists your arm.

### 4/5 — A very unoffensive Ad-Game

*2022-04-06, version 1.1.4*

Coming off of Countmaster, Pull Him Out, and Evony; Hero Rescue is the lesser of all evils. Instead of there being an ad every level; it's 1 in 3. They're generally not longer than 5-10 seconds either.

Furthermore; the puzzles aren't terribly taxing yet; but I can appreciate a game that does what it says on the tin without wasting TOO much of my time with ads

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Feels like a scam

*2025-02-25, version 1.1.7*

I’m like 30 seconds into this game which is the easiest in the world and it’s already playing a long ad. This was also immediately following a screen telling me to allow the app to track me. lol, bye

### 1/5 — WAYY TO MANY ADS

*2024-11-22, version 1.1.7*

There are ads when you open the app. There are ads every 3 levels which takes seconds to complete. Each ad is substantial and makes you close out of it roughly 3 times. Do yourself a favor and stay away from

### 1/5 — They spam ads

*2024-03-14, version 1.1.7*

You have to watch ads more than you get to play.

### 1/5 — Terrible ads

*2023-08-03, version 1.1.6*

So many ads I spend almost no time playing the game

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2023-07-04, version 1.1.6*

30 seconds of ads for every 10 seconds of game play. Spoof ads as soon as you start the game.

### 1/5 — Way too many ads

*2023-02-04, version 1.1.4*

Obnoxious ads. Long ads constant ads that direct you to the App Store and play long videos with a skip button that doesn’t work deleted in less than three minutes. Don’t waste time. Too bad always wanted the puzzle game but not like this. Don’t waste your time

### 1/5 — Inappropriate ads

*2022-10-24, version 1.1.4*

The game is a fine puzzle game for kids. It has gentle challenges for beginners.

The ads shown do not match the game’s age rating.

The game would be good for kids but the ads are for adults only.

### 1/5 — Ads

*2022-09-04, version 1.1.4*

More ads than game

### 1/5 — Adverts

*2021-12-29, version 1.1.4*

Not worth it. Keen to finally play the fake advert game just to be inundated with ads. Do not recommend.

### 1/5 — No new levels

*2021-12-07, version 1.1.4*

I’m convinced the developer has scrapped this project. No new levels in over a year. I paid for ads to be removed as well which stings more. The game is too easy, but it was a fun tool to take my mind off of things when I needed a break. It’s unfortunate that the developer sold a lot of people on this game by promising new levels weekly and then just bails. If you download this game don’t waste your money clearing the ads since there doesn’t appear to be any future for this app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The best game ever

*2024-07-11, version 1.1.7*

I got this game from my Tía nay but 200k/10 out

### 5/5 — The answer to years of frustration

*2023-12-24, version 1.1.6*

This is actually the game that I’ve been advertised for YEARS

### 5/5 — Hero rescue

*2023-05-28, version 1.1.6*

I finished this and I’m gonna keep finishing always!

### 5/5 — Easy, fun puzzle game - please add more levels

*2022-12-26, version 1.1.4*

I have never played a game so much. Please add more levels.

### 5/5 — This guy is a genius

*2022-08-26, version 1.1.4*

The ads show what games people want to play and he makes them. Way to go. I’m willing to watch an ad every 10 seconds to see this guy get the credit he deserves for making this mess ads into a game

### 5/5 — Great Game!

*2022-07-11, version 1.1.4*

Lots of fun. Not too many ads. Especially enjoy the tower block mode. Wish it was available in other hero rescue games

### 5/5 — Finally

*2022-03-26, version 1.1.4*

Thank you for being the ONLY one to make an actual cool game. All these fake adds and this is literally the only honest one out there. This game is so addicting!

### 5/5 — Exactly What it Claims to Be

*2022-03-05, version 1.1.4*

It’s actually a puzzle game about a hero with pins, lava, water, and gold.

### 5/5 — It’s actually a game with pins!

*2022-01-19, version 1.1.4*

Gets 5 stars purely for actually being a game like all those ads

### 5/5 — I cannot describe how much I enjoy this

*2021-10-13*

After seeing what probably feels like hours of Evony ads showing a game that is nonexistent, I found this. It scratches that itch I need, it’s smooth, the puzzles are relatively easy while still making me feel like the cogs in my brain are turning. This is literally perfect.

As long as you keep making new levels, I’m perfectly satisfied. You did what these other games with misleading ads couldn’t; actually make me want to play their game.

I was so satisfied within 5 levels, I immediately bought the no-ads feature. That’s how much I like it, it was worth it.
